Me, too! Sometimes I think

I am alone in this respect.  It's good to hear from others in the same situation.  I've always been shy but as an adult have actually dreaded parties and social events.  You're right.  It is definitely worse as I'm getting older (and working at home in an isolated environment).  Except for a very few "comfortable" and familiar people (mainly family), I feel so "threatened" in social situations.  I've never actually taken medication for this but have just tried to work through it and keep the anxiety-provoking events to a minimum. I wonder if there is any chatroom/website for those of us who have this.  I'd love to learn more and get constructive information that might help, even at my ripe old age (late 50s).  If anyone knows of such a thing, please share the info.  Thanks for bringing this up!!!
