here is mine, for what it is worth
I have had the same dictator pretty much all day and he kept saying one line in the physical exam that I could not get. I have probably type 20 reports, leaving QA markers all the way and now all of a sudden, I understand what he is saying but I cannot go back and change those. AAAAAGGGGHHH!
I use mine every day, well worth the money
I have the 2006 version.  It was different than the 2004 version that I used before, but it didn't take me long to get used to.  I use it constantly.  I haven't found the internet drug sites to be nearly as helpful or easy to use, but maybe I just haven't looked at the right ones.  For example, knowing whether the drug is capped or not.  It seems like the drug sites I've looked at on the internet always have them capped, whether they are generic or not.  My favorite feature is in the search function you can type in what a drug sounds like with a tilde, for example Avacor~ and then search.  It will give you a list that you can scroll through to find possibilities for what it is, in this case Advicor.  This feature has helped me find drugs more times than I can count!  There are also other useful search functions, like searching by condition etc.  I was surprised to see the negative reactions here.  I think it was definitely money well spent!
Mine cost almost $200 and worth every penny
If you are working with sound files, this is the way to go. Can digitally remix and fix these using their software.
Just cut mine today...

Used to be able to type with them long, but for the last few years or so have had to keep them cut down or it throws off my rhythm & they start slipping.  I had a keyboard that finally bit the dust that actually had grooves in it from where my nails would hit the keys.  Have no idea why I have a hard time when they're long now...weird, huh.

Got mine in the mail today.
xx
Mine came in the mail today...
a $100 gift card. Very generous in my opinion, especially since I only work about 10 hours a week. My MTSO rocks! Wish I could share the name and give them some recognition, but that always seems to come back to bite people on this board.
It is worth it. Love Vonage! nm
:)
Yes and absolutely worth it. I love to work
outside when weather permits.  I don't do it every day because hooking up and unhooking and having to carry everything gets to be a pain, but I do it on occasion.  I also like to travel, which is why I got a laptop to start with.   It allows me to work in the car or a couple of hours a day wherever we go so there is still some income, but I also have time to enjoy time with family.
Love satellite radio...well worth(SM)
well worth the money.  First I had it in the car with the home dock and boom box.  Then I heard about the Inno and bought oneof those.  However, I didn't get that good of reception in the house without using the antenna. I wanted to be able to walk from room to room without an antenna.  So I'm back to my boom box and radio/home dock now.  I love the 40s, 50s, 60s music and I like to listen to Bruce Williams and some of the other talk shows.  They also have Oprah and Gail, Howard Stern, CNN, MSNCB, all the new networks. Well worth the $13 a month. I love radio! And do I agree about their value on long road trips...makes them so much more enjoyable and cures the boredom factor.  I prefer XM Radio, but now Sirius and XM have merged, so you can pick some from each if you want.
I love my new company. I'm off today and tomorrow
and didn't have to beg anybody or worry about TAT.
LOVE MINE!!
Will never go to another chair!
I love mine, too! nm

Love mine sm
Sony MDR-U10. Been using these for 15 years. First ones lasted 14 years. Check out www.transcriptiongear.com.
for prices.

i love mine
got a kinesis classic and it has really helped me. A bit pricey, but i think worth it. The upside: keys can be programed to be in different places if you want or you can program them with macros. The keys are in different locations per research that is easier on the hands, and at different heights. The downside: It does take some effort and time to adjust!
Love mine
I have had my Bose earbuds for about a year and love them. Even mumble mouths come in clearer.

Love mine!
I absolutely love mine! I will take you a few days or so to get used to it, but I found that my production actually increased due to using it.  I no longer have hurting wrists.
I LOVE it, and wish it were mine! - nm

I don't know about the best but I love mine
I have the Microsoft 4000 (I forget the whole name and I'm just popping back in here). I'm so afraid it will be discontinued because Microsoft LOVES to do that! Some think it's noisy but I wear noise-canceling headphones so that doesn't bother me. Personally, I don't think it's any louder than other keyboards and I love hearing the clickety-clack of keyboards when I'm not working :o). Odd, I know. Comfort-wise, it's great and there are cool features like My Favorites, Mail, Search, Web/Home, etc., above the F keys. I cannot use a straight keyboard now; it hurts!!
love mine!
I just got my Kinesis Freestyle with the VIP accessory about a month ago and love it!  I definitely wouldn't go back to a regular keyboard.  I like how you can adjust how far/close you want to separate the two keyboards plus I do think it's got a light touch.   You can always try it and if you're not satisfied, return it, as they do have a money back guarantee, but I can't remember if it's a 30 day or 60-day return policy, or even longer.
I love my mine

I have a 32-inch HDTV that I use for my primary monitor, and I can honestly say that it is incredible! I use 2 additional monitors, and I like those as well, because I don't have to minimize screens and have the desktop expanded out over all the monitors.

The display is crystal clear, and I get no headaches. Even nicer, if work is caught up, I can change the input to the digital cable input and catch a late-night movie while still keeping an eye on the work queue on another monitor. Sweet. Very sweet.

Love it! Did 3 hours with "Speedy Gonzalez" today!

Mine too!! Would love to be on that little island
:
I have DX6490 too, also love mine!
Upgraded from an HP, no comparison in the pictures. Kodak wins hands down.

Any other liver lovers out there?

I am going to order Shorthand for myself today. I love it. You can also manage your words in
:+
Yeah, I love days like that. Wish mine was.
I was thinking about finding a job that's Tues - Fri because I like to take Mondays and clean up the house after having the whole family home for the weekend.
Love mine long. I have acrylics on 1/2 of them. nm
,
I love mine, adjusted quickly.
But don't spill a latte in it...and the dishwasher trick doesn't work for it. I had to go out and buy a new one...and ergonomics are getting hard to find in my area!
I absolutely love mine...see message
I have health issues and this bed has been wonderful for me. My husband up until we got our sleep number bed was always up by 4-5 in the morning because of pain. He hasn't had any pain since. It was well worth the money for us.
I bought mine off Ebay and love it! This is probably the keyboard I will always use now.
:+
Slept in a recliner for a year before I got mine....LOVE IT. sm

I have degenerative disk disease in my lumbar and cervical spine.  We got a king sized, fully adjustable because of the level of my problems.  I rarely have had to use the adjustments because having found my "number" I am provided with an incredible night sleep.  My number is 35 and it has changed my life.  I have significantly less pain, I can sleep ALL NIGHT without rolling over and over and over in pain.  Wish I would have gotten it when it first came out.  We have had it for 2 years now.  I recommend it to everyone who asks.

I just pulled mine back out of storage - LOVE THEM!! nm

HELP with Shorthand. Suddenly today when I tried to start work today.sm

my ShortHand would type only the first letter of an expansion and then take all the letters away!  I checked and the Type It button is grayed out!  I have restarted the computer and looked on the Shorthand Help menu but can find nothing that applies.  Can anyone please help me ASAP?  I am lost without it!  TIA

Perhaps you are right. This one is dated today. The original article was on Yahoo today also with

But this article states it would only affect new customers right now.  So I am upset over nothing.  I went through heck with BellSouth when they charged me a surcharge of an extra 50 a month and then would write a letter saying I had to switch to a long distance service and pay by the minute because of my "excessive" use. They told me the unlimited charge was for an average of an hour a day not somebody who worked out of their home and I needed to switch a business plan at over 200 a month charge.  I switched over to cable because of that and then to read that cable was going to charging on a per use fee and not a flat monthly fee it upset me.  It is the nature of our work, VR, only paying for VBC, having headers and footers taken away, now being charged for being on line, etc.  It just seems that everything is done to keep to insure less money.

Funny! Mine is almost as large, and I don't mind cleaning mine!
It's no problem at all.  Besides, I'll take lots of oodles of square footage any day of the week over living in a sardine can!
Blasted cold out today. It was 104 degrees last week, but it's 40 degrees today with rain.
However, I do like cozy days like today when I don't have to go anywhere.  I'm done working, the house is clean, there's chili on the stove for dinner already, and I'm just putzing around.  I think I'll go bake some jalapeno cheese bread to go with the chili.
love, love, love the show. hate american idol. this show is for real.
the only reason i entertained watching it was because of mark burnett and as usual he has such genious casting and editing. btw, don't know who anything about "metal" music but these performers make me like it. love marty and jd as performers. HATE JESSICA. susie is so nice and so emotional. it seems they all support each other and enjoy each others skills. regarding ty and bob marley, ty was excellent but he also lucked out on the song! bob marley was genious too and his music is very easy to listen to. i don't like 3/4 of what the others are given to sing but their performances make me love the music. dave navarro shines on this show, very gracious for the most part and letting the contestants down easy when they have to leave. he was great last night with brandon (?). sweet, sweet show. i am so impressed with everyone involved.
Yep that's it, 4000. Love, love love the zoom
But I feel like a dork typing...every time I try to type But it is coming out as Nut!
Mine isn't like that. Mine is 2. All are programmed different.
xx
I love it too - love doing my nails 5 hours a day and staying awake

Love NOT getting paid while sitting doing my nails too.  It's a real turn on.

I tell all my friends to try it -- sit in front of your computer while you have no money to pay your rent and instead do your nails, you get a real buzz down in the pit of your stomach.

Also LOVE LOVE ESCRIPTION and make good money but...
Can I ask how you sit there for 8 hours. Lately, I'm having a motivation problem. When I focus, I can rack up the lines, but lately, I get so easily distracted. My mind wanders and I struggle to get my lines. Any tips on how you stay productive who do you work for?? I work for Transcend.
People either love it or hate it. I personally love it
but I know a lot of people say you cannot make any money on it and will not work on it. I do okay. I'm obviously not getting rich but I am making a living. I found it easier than Dictaphone and faster such in downloading and uploading job and you only have to log on one system and not like Dictaphone where you have to log onto the VPN and then log onto the program. It's always worth a try, but yes, the biggest complaint I hear is that no one can make a living and the cpl isn't that great.
A job worth doing is worth doing well ...
If you do not want to do your best, get another job.
But that is what I would do - worth the $.30
nm
what are your worth?

To do business at this rate, the hospital would have to be contracting the jobs themselve.  Most hospitals I am aware of, go through a service, which has overhead.  So to that 7 cents you have to add pay for management, building, utilites and all the other costs of doing business.  The services I work for charge anywhere from 11 to 13 cpl, so it really isn't any cheaper to go through a service or have your own accts from the hospital point of view.

And is it worth the $189?
It sounds quite interesting, but that's a lot of money to shell out for an expander. Do you find your production is a lot higher compared with regular word expanders?
For what it's worth...SM
I did say that in my opinion, drinking on the job, regardless of amount, was unprofessional and somewhat irresponsible. (I stated MY opinion of the SITUATION, not directed at anyone in particular.) I think most employers would agree with me on that one. You obviously do not. This topic has been discussed and removed several times now - if you don't like the "unpleasant" posts, why keep bringing it up? Do you need the validation from complete strangers?

Don't post the topic if you're not prepared to deal with multiple viewpoints. Simple as that.
Worth it?
YES! An ergonomic keyboard does take a couple of days to get used to, but I doubled my typing speed after those couple of days and do not get "tired" hands as quickly. I would strongly recommend getting one!:)
