I bought mine on Ebay but....

I would stay away from a seller by the name of xxelaborate1xx.  He sold me the professional version 8 which is wonderful, however, he does not send you the serial # with it. He wants you to instant message him so he can give it to you, then he wants you to give him code (a fingerprint of your computer) which is a big no no!  Out of curiosity I proceeded to activate my software the way he said and my Norton alert said NO!  It was a site that wanted personal information and contained viruses.  I think pirates these CDs then tries to get access to buyers computers to get personal info such as credit info, ssn, banking, etc.  If the buyer was a selling an original copy that had not been registered yet I think thats fine.  I would just be careful with the ones that say there nothing but the CD.  Ask questions! Ask questions!

Bought mine on Ebay

We have bought our last two from ebay.  They are sealed and nothing wrong with them.  Got them for around $10

LOL ... I bought mine on eBay. Link inside to tell you more about it. :-) sm

I love mine!! Got it off Ebay.

If you use a standard keyboard you can buy an old IBM model M keyboard on ebay or clickykeyboards.co

That key printing never wear down because the letters are part of the key itself.  They just don't make them that way anymore because it is too expensive to make.  Some of the mechanical keyboards like Cherry have what they double shot key imprinting and the letters are part of the key itself and don't wear off. That IBM keyboard is very noisy from the type of keyswitch it has so you may not like that.  Logitech and Belkin make some membrane switch keyboards that are supposed to have longer lasting key imprints.  I have a logitech that has the longer lasting key imprints and it is pretty good.  You have to look on the specs to find out if has the longer lasting key printing.

I have experimented so much with keyboards and have done a lot of research.  Way too much info.

I bought some on Ebay for $26 ;)
You might want to check there.  The person had an ebay store and many styles and all the ones I was considering were under $30.
I bought one on Ebay today; thanks.

I bought 2 off ebay as well w/o any problems - sm
I bought a Dell Latitude CPi about 5 years ago for travel (windows 98) about $600 (with DVD), and just bought a new (used) Dell Optiplex GX270 for $200, P4, 3 mHz, 512 MB RAM. This has XP Pro on it. Since I didn't need all the other stuff as I have it, I think ebay is the way to go if all you need is the CPU. I am very happy with both though I think the laptop is starting to die; so I will have to get a new laptop too, and I will go the same route with ebay on that as well. I bought the new CPU because I think my drive is going on my current desktop so I wanted a backup so I went with a faster computer (mine is 2 mHz now). Going to eventually switch over to the new computer altogether (need to get a modem for it) but will probably use a KVM switch for a little while.
I bought on on EBay for under $200. Haven't had a chance to try it yet. nm

I went on Ebay and bought a folding wheelbarrow, sm
that is made of vinyl. The week before camping, I'd place it in a strategic spot in the house and as I thought of things to pack, I'd put it in the wheelbarrow. The night before heading out, I'd roll the thing to the RV, and pack it. Of course, can't really do that with perishables, but it sure helped with clothes, towels, etc. Then the wheelbarrow would be ready in the garage to unpack the RV. It sure saved on the back-and-forth treks from house to RV.
I bought a glare reducing screen to put on monitor from ebay. nm

Yes, bought my SUV from Ebay from a reputable Infiniti Dealer in Houston and I live outside of Atlan
Best car I've ever, ever had. They specialize in luxury cars and large SUVs. Had hundreds of positive feedback from other buyers, very reputable seller. Got my Yukon for 8,000 under blue book. It was an awesome experience and we'd do it again in a heart beat. I had to drive out there to get it and it has everything in it - OnStar, media package, leather.

The only problem with that is you have to get your own financing and have the money in hand when picking up your vehicle.

Don't knock buying on ebay unless you've had a bad experience buying a vehicle. I've had my SUV for over a year. NO problems and if I sold it today I would make money on it.
I actually get all of mine on Ebay..
I am usually able to get them in larger quantities and for a good price. With a dog who loves to eat them right off the headset, I have to buy in large quantities. He actually jumps on my chair and onto my desk and eats them right off.. NICE....
Try Ebay! Got mine for $14 plus shipping CD-Rom! nm

Try Ebay, that's where I got mine. Paid about $40 for it.

Someone on MTD recommended a keyboard off of eBay that had the word "Ice" in its name. Haven&#

Try a microsoft elite, cheap on ebay and a great keyboard. nm

I bought mine at
Radioshack for around $20, I think. They wrap around my head, cover my ears (not the plugs in the ears), and they have volume control on them as well. They help significantly compared to plug ear phones, but like stated, a bad dictation is a bad dictation. But I do like them and would recommend for the money. I have heard that Bose headphones are awesome, but rather expensive. I have not had any though. Hope this helps.
I got mine on Ebay because I needed Windows XP on it and NOT Vista. They wanted to charge me almost
it with Windows XP. So I saved money and did Ebay.
Way to go!! I love ebay! nm

Susan.....I recently bought a new keyboard,
one of those ones with two separate halves with tenting, supposed to be ergonmic (love it BTW)....the first, I'd say 3 days, I actually thought I'd have to send it back because of a slight difference in key location, kept hitting the wrong keys, etc. However, after that time, I got used to it and no longer was hitting wrong keys.

Also, I'm pretty sure you can get a switch that turns a USB into a round and vice versa. You could try calling a computer/electronic store or googling.
I bought mine at costco, top of
the line, over $500 but worth every penny, wonderful.
I just bought mine at WalMart sm

in the furniture department. My pedal is on top and my heel hangs off the edge and I use my toes to run the pedal.

Mine say "Thergonomic hand aids". I bought them at Hobby Lobby sm
because I can't find Hand-Eze at my local OfficeMax (live in a small town) any more. These are fingerless gloves made of something like spandex.

I don't know about a website, but Hobby Lobby is a craft store.

I can't type comfortably any more without them - kind of like being uncomfortable in a car without a seatbelt.

I bought mine as a download a few years ago. If you want to copy it to another puter, just send

Have a Kirby G5-- bought local used for $500 with the shampooer- love it--
runs like a champ, does a great job on the carpets too. Used is the way to go since new they are about $1400.
Love them, though bought a cheapie $300 Proform- hard to use-
it is belt-driven-- Wish I had sprung more $$ on it. Have used the ones at the gym when I was a member, loved them, could do 30 minutes w/o any trouble. Have get to go over 5 minutes on mine at home. Recently got a treadmill ($800 on sale for $600), like it a lot, though ellipital is a lot better for you.
Just bought a 2006 convertible BMW - Silver. Love it. nm

You might try wireless keyboard and mouse--mine by Microsoft made it better to type faster. SM
You might try wireless keyboard and mouse--mine by Microsoft made it better and I was typing faster.

Just keep the wireless "thing" that both the mouse and keyboard transmit to (and the part that is connected to the computer) out in the open, not covered up by papers, books, etc.

I tried to go back to my other keyboard, the one that plugs in, and could hardly type on it. The wireless keyboard was a lot faster and so it is less work.

Hope this helps.
I have a clicky keyboard and love it!
I can always type faster on this one.
I love my Maltron keyboard (sm)
I have had it for 5 years and it has reduced my carpal tunnel to a minimum. Love, love, love it.

Sony MDR-U10. Been using these for 15 years. First ones lasted 14 years. Check out www.transcriptiongear.com.
for prices.

i love mine
got a kinesis classic and it has really helped me. A bit pricey, but i think worth it. The upside: keys can be programed to be in different places if you want or you can program them with macros. The keys are in different locations per research that is easier on the hands, and at different heights. The downside: It does take some effort and time to adjust!
Love mine
I have had my Bose earbuds for about a year and love them. Even mumble mouths come in clearer.

Love mine!
I absolutely love mine! I will take you a few days or so to get used to it, but I found that my production actually increased due to using it.  I no longer have hurting wrists.
I LOVE it, and wish it were mine! - nm

I don't know about the best but I love mine
I have the Microsoft 4000 (I forget the whole name and I'm just popping back in here). I'm so afraid it will be discontinued because Microsoft LOVES to do that! Some think it's noisy but I wear noise-canceling headphones so that doesn't bother me. Personally, I don't think it's any louder than other keyboards and I love hearing the clickety-clack of keyboards when I'm not working :o). Odd, I know. Comfort-wise, it's great and there are cool features like My Favorites, Mail, Search, Web/Home, etc., above the F keys. I cannot use a straight keyboard now; it hurts!!
love mine!
I just got my Kinesis Freestyle with the VIP accessory about a month ago and love it!  I definitely wouldn't go back to a regular keyboard.  I like how you can adjust how far/close you want to separate the two keyboards plus I do think it's got a light touch.   You can always try it and if you're not satisfied, return it, as they do have a money back guarantee, but I can't remember if it's a 30 day or 60-day return policy, or even longer.
I love my mine

I have a 32-inch HDTV that I use for my primary monitor, and I can honestly say that it is incredible! I use 2 additional monitors, and I like those as well, because I don't have to minimize screens and have the desktop expanded out over all the monitors.

The display is crystal clear, and I get no headaches. Even nicer, if work is caught up, I can change the input to the digital cable input and catch a late-night movie while still keeping an eye on the work queue on another monitor. Sweet. Very sweet.
