New E-mail validation system and why we have implemented it.

Due to increasing problem posters, we have moved to implement a new e-mail validation system, which will make visitors accountable for the content of their posts.
There is absolutely no censorship involved and visitors can post what they wish, however, if posts are inappropriate that posters profile wll be removed and further posting will no longer be allowed.
Further, MTStars does not sell email addresses as one poster has alluded to. We simply want a kind place for MTs to post.
This is the only post you will see from me on this or any other site regarding this topic.

It is great that you reflected what I, in my heart feel. I am very frightened of Cobra, and I was going to look at the dates to see if I could just call the docs, explain and get the 3 MO supply. It is true that 2 F/T jobs are already straining on me, and I did not even want to think of the holidays. Now I know why. The gal below suggested Humana, so now I have 2 viable options, the meds, and the Humana. I am so glad I have you all and this board. Being an MT at home, it is hard to talk to people who understand these kinds of things and you all really put me on the right path. My family and I thank you tons!
Validation
I happened upon this topic in searching Google for "doctors lie", because I am literally dying from 10 years of layer upon layer of lies by the medical profession.
I was not surprised to see an RN validating what has to be the most dangerous and widespread hypocrisy in which MD's engage as if it is routine.. and it IS routine.
How do they get away with it?! The almighty 'White Wall of Silence', the unwritten code by which they all abide. They are fully aware that if they all adhere to the same despicable code, their misdeeds will never be held up to scrutiny by their peers.
I was sued by a surgeon for publishing my post operative photos online after trying for an entire year to get some honest answers regarding a disastrous facial surgery. That was over 5 years ago and my photos are still online, the Court instructing me to remove all misleading photos from the Internet. I had them examined by a certified legal photographer who verified they were "unmanipulated" but one would think the doctor's life would have been much easier if he had only admitted he was wrong! I offered to sign anything he wanted absolving him from legal accountability if he just TOLD THE TRUTH. Instead, he had his barracuda attorneys chew me up and spit me out.
In the end, his failure to be truthful and instead turn on me and attack with the most unscrupulous character assassination imaginable, created a foundation for other doctors to layer lie upon lie, subjecting me to further medical negligence.
I have reached the point where I would rather die than ever allow another doctor to touch me again, and I vow I will never seek medical treatment for any medical condition, including broken bones, for which I would feel more confident seeking treatment from a veterinarian than an MD.
This, from a woman who lived and worked with a GP for 12 years and revered the medical profession.

Request that they place a stop payment on the check, reissue, and mail priority or overnight mail
If they refuse or invent unbelievable excuses, you'll know you have a problem. If MY check was a week late, there are many months I would be in deep trouble.
I realize checks occasionally do get lost in the mail. If they are 100% sure it was mailed, then they shouldn't mind issuing another.
Be firm and be persistent.
My friend who works for them is having her mail go to her own account. She hates this new mail prog

In every company I have worked for that pays via mail, they mail the checks on payday. sm
Depending on the distance you can get them anywhere from 3-8 days later. Right now one takes 3 days, the other 3-5.

Block her E-mail, return mail unopened
On AOL I can determine who I want to receive mail from and block those I do not -- and if they are blocked they get their E-mail back as being "undeliverable". If she sends things out -- send back --unaccepted. But to be simple just E-mail her back or call the recuriter if you don't want to deal with her directly and state -- leave me alone. If she is in another state you should not be scared of her but you may simply have to put it out there in no uncertain terms.
I'm getting e-mail and personal mail from MQ regarding changes
and lawsuits. What's up with MQ? Any speculation? My mail is general and not specific to my office. Think things are coming to a head with the lawsuits and MQ is trying to play nice?
It's the way our system is set up..
We can search to see what work is out there, and we can also search by author and see what work each author has, and even look at completed reports, which is nice when you're stuck. I love my platform.

I think it is what system you are using,
that is why I asked you to tell me more. I use eScription and 1 can believe or not but I am amazed at how the ESLs are picked up better than the English. You are using Dictaphone- I have read other posts who are on different VR system and they are not satisfied. I have loads of ESLs on my account but am happy VR is picking up instead of my having to listen to them all and trying to muddle through.
Your system allows this?
The system I work on does not allow me to 'pick' my work. I have a pool of work and it loads into my computer 3 records at a time. I have to take what I get and do what I get. Your system allows you to choose what dictations you want to do? In my opinion, that is not fair to anyone. It should be what pops up gets done by whoever reaches it first.
I would say one last thing to my boss about it, if I were you. I would just tell her that you can sit there and watch what is happening, that this one person is taking the gravy jobs, and for your boss to sit and observe it herself and do something about it. I don't see why any person feels they are better than another, to get an easy income while others struggle. I sure hope it is resolved soon for you.
For every system set up, there is a way around it..
our system recently changed to allow only ONE job to be seen and worked on at a time, which they thought would stop the cherry picking, but it has not. There is a web site where we can still view what is coming next and down the line. The cherry pickers just wait, PERHAPs doing a little job here and there, and then as soon as a very large one comes up, snap. it is gone! I hate this way of things. I certainly wish that all accounts were "assigned" accounts. Much more fair to all transcriptionists. but that is just my opinion!!!
EMR System
I just got back from a meeting at my employer's office. They've been implementing EMR and expect most of it to be up and running by March. They haven't come right out and told us (the other transcriptionis), but we may be without a job, although they haven't really said too much. Supposedly they may still need us because there are some doctors that are set in their ways and won't use it.

MQ mail
I got it to work but it takes forever to get into your email box and send anything. I got into my box yesterday..slow..slow.slow..Today I got in and tried to send an email to my Transcription Coordinator and two times it would not go through, finally the third time it did..I dont know why they changed the system..maybe some techs needed something new to do so they made a new project to change the email system. If they dont fix it, it is a disaster..Hopefully today, the first day, will be just fixing the minor things and we will proceed from there..Its always something with this company ya know?? No work, but you better let them know your schedule, cant even get through on email..Grrrrrrrr..

I can't get past the login screen. It says "Welcome!" then throws me back to the login screen. I see they have a message that says "You can still send messages to your contacts through your Outlook or Outlook Express." Wrong. Can't do that, either. Have been on hold to Atlanta for over 1/2 hour. Whose idea was this??

Log in using your I-mail address and your password. I-mail address should be your MQ name (?)__@medquistmail.com. Password. You get into a screen that apologizes etc. Hit continue.
If you forgot anything there is a box that should allow you to retrieve password.
If all else fails, call tech support and they will walk you through it as I did the first time using it at 1-800-342-8283. They can help you specifically for I-mail problems.

If you use the Reply By E-Mail option in your post, whoever e-mails you will not see your e-mail address whatsoever.
Once that e-mail arrives to your mail server, you will see who it came from and if you reply to their e-mail, they will see yours -- it will work as regular e-mail.

It always takes over a month to come. Save up for it because you will back-pay to cover the time to keep your coverage. In other words, I think you basically pay 2 months at once. But do call the person in charge of benefits at the job you left. They explain COBRA all the time and will be sending it to you.
