Does your program change lower case to upper? If so, type all in lower and
it will change the ones it is supposed to.
I wouldn't lower my rates. Should I request a lower CPL from my employer
because I use a ton of normals, templates and such to increase my line count?

Recruiter, Melissa, had me do a questionaire first. after she was satisfied with this, she wanted to send me a pre-employment screening test. However, it looked like she was only going to send it to me if I had planning on taking it RIGHT THEN AND THERE just because it was timed and needed to be back in 24 hours (we are about 6 hours apart, and I do have another job). She did this twice. I waited for days. Why couldn't she just send the test as an attachment to download like NORMAL companies would?????
I finally emailed the company and told them how unprofessional they were, particularly Melissa, and that they actually did me a favor.

We were in a similar, very difficult situation a few years back. In desperation I called the United Way and they matched my family up with a company in our area that went out and shopped for my 4 kids. They bought everything on the list and even wrapped the gifts before delivering them. They left an envelope for me and my hubby with a $100 bill, a gift certificate for a Honey Baked ham and a grocery gift card. When I did my Christmas shopping at the store, they scanned the gift card - it was for $100! I started crying right in the store. I will never forget those angels on earth who saved Christmas for my kids and saved my faith in humanity. And, by the way, it is not too late! I didn't know help was available to people in trouble, so didn't call until 5 days before Christmas! They did all of this for us in just 5 days! Tell your friend there are many who have been where she is right now and she will get through it. There are many, many wonderful agencies and people who will help you, she just has to ask. I pray that your friend will get the help she needs.

As a resident of Louisiana, I ask that you all pray not only for those poor souls in New Orleans but for the whole state and surrounding areas. The aftermath effect is going to be widespread. PRAY! We are already experiencing food supply shortages. Woman fighting over a loaf of bread in a Wal-Mart. PRAY! Our kids may not be able to start school because there is no diesel or gas for the buses. PRAY! For this I urge all you have enormous SUVs just to ride around in to get rid of them. The worst is yet to come. PRAY! There are reports of the centers having out breaks of riots not only in New Orleans but in the other areas housing the displaced people. PRAY! Also, help any way you can. If you can not afford monetary donations, please give your time at one of the shelters.

Ask for referral for whatever it is you need help with, i.e. electric bill, mortgage, etc. You absolutely cannot apply for unemployment as an IC. You may also consider applying for emergency public assistance by contacting the department of human resources in your county.

will allow my kids to stay on until they are 26 if they are not married and still living at home, whether they are in college or not. I double checked about it, and it's true. Also my dental is the same way but a different carrier.

United Health Care medical insurance
 Well, I am about to use my vision coverage insurance for United Health Care. Eye Exam 2000 said they only covered 15-20% of the exam, 20% of cost of lens/glasses. I have never heard of such a low amount covered. I guess I have the wrong plan. Anyone else disappointed with United Health Care benefits besides me? I work for a large national.
Thanks. I guess I am hoping someone will tell me I am wrong and that 80% of the bill is covered. That this is all a mistake.

I currently get 10 cpl and have been offered 1 other
positions in the past for 10 cpl. My current position is as employee with benefits. The other position was as an IC with WebMedex at 10 cpl and 11 cpl over 6,000 lines/week. With most other companies 8 cpl seems to be the "norm", though there are always exceptions, with plenty of companies paying less than that and a few paying more.

Before I got hired on at MQ I was offered a job for 5 cpl with quarterly raises if my productivity was up to par, I had to provide all resources, all computer equipment, own footpedal and headphones, WordPerfect, and the list went on and on - for a prn IC job! The lady made it sound like it was the best thing around and I thought that was pretty funny

the company never followed through? Told Friday would be sent job offer with tenative start date, then nothing. Emailed recruiter twice with confirmation that the email was read this morning on the second email and still nothing. Strange or not? I would think if they changed their mind, they would at least have the decency to reply to my emails.

With the lower pay per line, I'd have to be able to
get 700-800 lph under that platform to make more money and there is no way to do that. The higher uppities have even admitted it is best for the slower people, not someone fast.

much they are paying you and have accepted it.

Don't lower your rate! Don't feel guilty! Feel blessed. I'm envious--am on an account where it is impossible to understand them let alone make a macro but if I could I would and not feel bad at all. I have years invested in this just like the Dr's. You should be paid for your time and expertise macro or not.

Never lower your rate
I would never, ever lower my rates. Is the one doctor in the group that is complaining a constant whiner? He may just be a tightwad that still has the first .01 he ever earned. Think about it - we complain about the cost of gas increasing and the cost of groceries increasing, but those businesses sure aren't going to drop the price of their product due to our complaining just to keep our business. You run a business and the point of that is to earn money. If you or a family member had to see this particular doctor, would he drop his office visit rate because you complained about his bill? Never!
Not only that, these are cardiologists - one of the elite money makers in the medical profession.
Write a note stating that you understand his concerns about the cost, but state that in spite of your expenses increasing along with everything else recently, you will agree not to go up on your rate for a year instead. Tell him while there is less expensive out there, it comes back to the old saying of, "you get what you pay for."

Webmedx offered me 10 cpl
They require at least 1000 lines per week. Incentive of 11 cpl over a certain amount of lines per week. This was for their highest level (3). I think they have a lot of ESL though.

I have been offered a position yet...sm
But I have an interview with them this week. Not sure what I'll do either, especially given the time clock. That's a real issue for me. I have a baby at home and can't imaging trying to clock in and out every time he starts to fuss.
I also sent a resume to Medware too, just to cover my bases, but I just sent it this weekend and haven't heard anything yet.
As for you not hearing back from FN last week after sending a resume to them, I seriously doubt they are hiring right now given they recently overhired and the workflow is so low. Thus the reason I've been floating resumes all week. LOL!!!

They're willing to help you as long as you lower yourself. Just pure head games. And some parents would love to see their kids homeless for a chuckle. Makes no sense to me - mine were the same. They were so jealous that my husband and I stuck it out and made our marriage work, are still in love after 30+ years with great kids. When we ran into 1 bump in the road and needed a tad of help, they sat and laughed in our faces, even their innocent grandkids. You just never know what goes in some peoples' minds. Only count on yourself and God, literally. I'm here for you!!
