I work as a nurse and an MT too, and they are absolutely separate professions. Each job description requires specialized training and skills, and they are not interchangeable. My sister (who is a dental hygienist) and I have both worked in medical/dental offices that were managed by the doctors' wives, and it invariably spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E. What they're trying to pull over on you comes as no surprise, but it's WRONG. Stand up for yourself!
