In Reply to: I do. He is an at-home drinker. Doesn't - Wannie

Wannie, listen to me:  He is NOT the same man you married 28 years ago.  Think back:  If his behavior were IDENTICAL THEN, as it is now, would you have married him?  We both know the answer.  Also, alcoholics do not change unless they get scared to death or something motivates them mightily.  What is motivating your husband, if you just sit back and "love him," and let him continue to be a "sad man" ?  Absolutely nothing.  Ten years into the future he will be dead or your will be nursing him on his deathbed.  Take some action, please:  do it for both of you.
