What makes it hard is when you love them so much and you can't seem to stop them from destroying themself or your relationship. He is not physically abusive. The rest of the time, the relationship is great. However, he can be unpredictable, with periods of pity, low self esteem "everyone thinks I am a failure", pissiness, and defensiveness "you all can just blank off" as if I am the problem, too. It is like living with two completely different people. He will be fantastic, then just have a three-day fit. I wonder if he is not bipolar.
