is that there are people out there who just happen to pass the test with no formal training (college OR MT school like Andrews, etc) who happen to pass a test, or worse yet get someone to pass it for them, and are working AS an MT without any prior training. Now granted back in the 70s there was no prior training, but since you have been on board since the 70s then by now you are more qualified than any of us and should receive certification due to "life learning credit" just like if a kid who works at a computer store for five years decides to go back to college, he can take a little test that shows that he already knows all the stuff they teach in the computer class and therefore does not have to waste a semester taking it if he passes the test.
