There are no transcription errors that can directly impact patient care. Nurses, doctors and other healthcare providers do not write their orders or make their decisions based on a transcribed report.

Whoever started this myth doesn't have a clue about how hospitals and clinics really work.

Unfortunately, since so many MTs now have only worked from home, they don't know this is just a way for QA to inflate its self-importance.
