S-marked band
Esmarch bandage
These are the marked up reports
that are sent in the fax, its not the same mistakes, its different mistakes for everyone. But the derogatory remarks from the hospital are on there too.
We are expected to follow AAMT unless client profile states otherwise or marked down by QA for it, s

All MTs should band together
and do something (not sure what) about this! This is a disgusting tragedy. I was averaging $19 to 20 per hour and now that our hospital uses that Cheating MQ program, I can't even get 13.50 and am ACTUALLY GETTING MORE REPORTS DONE WITH THE GREAT DQS PROGRAM!!

So, the hospital is getting much more work for much less money out of ME. This has to change! I'm looking, though.
Lap band
Attended a seminar in Fl, cost is about 18,000, most insurance will not pay. Recuperation time is much shorter, can go back to work in 2-3 days, lose about 2 lb a week, if you lose too much band is adjusted - after about 18 months you catch up with someone who has had gastric bypass because their weight loss is mostly in the beginning.
I think the name of the band was "Live".
I think the name of the band was "Live".
I saw an infomercial (sp?) on LAP-BAND sm

surgery.  It sounds pretty interesting--a lot less invasive than gastric bypass surgery.

Has anyone here ever had it done?  I wonder how expensive it is since I'm sure most insurance companies won't pay for it and whether or not it really works.

Here's 2 facts- the Lap-Band.....sm

The risks of the Roux-en-Y include organ failure and death.

The risks of the Lap-Band do not include organ failure and death.

I type this everyday for 2 years now so the facts come from the professionals and not me.

Lap band surgery
Has anyone had this surgery recently.  My insurance says it absolutely will not pay for this but the surgeon says he can get approval from any insurance company with his documentation, do you think this is possible?  Has any one had an insurance company say no and then authorize it later?
Possibly Esmarch band?
Google is a good resource for looking up terminology.
Get a belly band. They sell them on e-bay! sm
There is a thing called a belly band. Breeders use these for their males to prevent them from hiking in the house. It is a band that goes around their belly and you put a mini pad or panty liner to absorb the "wee wee" They are usually between $8 to 10 and are machine washable and you can get the mini pads or panty lines for about $1 per package. I used doggy diapers on my girl puppies when they were small and also when they are in heat. They work great! I especially used them when we went to stay at a relative's house and she had brand new carpet and my shih-tzu was just a baby and not yet potty trained. Hope this helps you. Just try searching the web or e-bay for belly bands or doggie diapers. For a male, you want a belly band.
The band is Fuel, the same Hemorrhage he did
was by them.   I just wish this stuff would go away.  Good Lord there at thousands of things more important like AIDS, world peace, hunger, genocide.
I agree. When my DD was in school band, I was better SM
about remembering Memorial Day, as she has to march in several parades. Now, it just seems like it is another day for everyone to drink.
The #1 reason to wear an arm band.

My doc says "I did a rectal exam to make sure we had the right patient".

There has to be an easier way.......

Rock band names (sm)
For medical terminology as band names, I've always been fond of:

Stable to Rock
and
Uterine Cry (Goth, I think)

Don't you have to have insurance to have the bypass surgery or the lap band? sm
It may take her more than 4 months to even get a start on checking into surgery.

My understanding is that you have to have exhausted all other weight-loss options before you can even THINK about surgery. Then you have to have psych eval, CPE, lab work etc. The BMI also plays a part as well as various co-morbidities. If she has until 2/2009, it may very well take that long just to get into a doc, surgeon, psych etc. and then the insurance company has to authorize it to boot.

Good luck Siren, I hope all works out well for you.
And I can become a nurse without training because I have experience in Band-Aid applications!! nm

The Band is awesome. Glad you bought the CD. Enjoy!!!!
