There are many American owned companies out there that do not offshore and have not gone over to VR yet.  All you have to do is really research when looking for a job.  I just changed jobs and I refused to go to work for a company that is Indian owned or a company that offshores and again, I found several, grant you they are not very large companies such as MQ, Spheris, etc., but I also like the more medium-sized companies because, in my opinion, you get treated like a real human.
