Any information you can give me to pass on will be appreciated.

I just spoke with S on the phone and got more of the lowdown on what happened today. What a mess. I have known S for many many years and she has raised 3 kids of her own. She has never been this distressed over anything that I can remember.

As far as the ADHD, I'm not sure Tater would fit that profile. She is very smart and has a lot of patience. If you make her angry over something, she literally plans on how she is going to get back at you and it could take days or weeks. She's not very compulsive, more manipulating and cunning.

I really am at a loss to give her any advise. I have a stepson who was very difficult as a child and still is as an adult because he is very manipulating too but never to this extent. My own kids are angels compared to Tater.

They need help and I don't think the psychologist is professionally equipped to handle this particular situation, given that she has admittedly never known a case this extreme.

Just a thought but, if anyone has any experience with autism, isn't there a type of functional autism with similar displays of personality like this?

Would appreciate any feedback.
