these guys are clever and witty and have good taste. they are who they are. not a problem. i have problems with boy-men who are currently trendy now. that's my taste. and it's kind of scary that women are attracted to these unisex boy-men culturally. no big deal unless you make it one. this is a board to exchange ideas right?

What does gals mean? Is this slang or is this like saying girl friday or secretary or what? I have been referred to by this term quite a bit in the last year, so just wondering.

I think I get confused by it because I was thinking that "9 years ago" was referring to an experience and because the experience belongs to the person it would be possessive? I think I just put too much thought into it! lol! Nonetheless, I was getting it confused with forms such as 9 years' duration.
Most of the gals I know, myself included.....sm
love to get some really nice hand/body lotion, either in their favorite fragrance or something scented from a specialty shop. They usually sell for maybe $18-20 and that's just too much $$ to spend on our own hand creams! Either that or scented bubble baths, soaps, etc.
I give things like that to my friends all the time and I have one friend who has now actually come to expect a bottle of her favorite lotion every Xmas. :)

What you missed regarding The View gals...
Absolutely nothing. They refused to provide Kathy with a clip from the show. She had drawings of the show, though, that basically showed Star Jones moving all the way to the end of the couch so as not to "catch Kathy."

I'm making all my x-mas gifts this year, and I bought some plastic bottles and to decorate them I would like to make them look "frosted" because I just think it looks better. I have looked high and low on how to do this, i'm making scented lotion and I could not find anything on the net. Would you guys know how to do this? Hope I get some answers, thanks!

On my way to a Bible study. When I arrived, the other gals there had no idea what had happened. sm
I couldn't even find the words to explain - it was a little after 9. I was listening to, like the poster below, Bob and Sheri (on my way to Bible study - go figure) and Bob and Sheri were in a mood I had never, ever heard before. Very solmen. Describing word for what what they SAW. I didn't even know they were in NYC.
Anyways, I had to pull over as I started bawling. My younger son had taken an accompanied minor flight just a few days prior to that out of Dulles, so this hit quite close to home.
Anyways, we heard while in our Bible study (we decided to meet and pray for our country) about the other flights, but not flt. 93. We heard about that when our local newspaper (a giant) had people walking around McDonalds handing out FREE newspapers around 12 o'clock with pics and everything. The last time that newspaper did that was probably after JFK got shot. We were all scrambling for a paper which I still own to this day.
I remember my 9 year old son reading it in his room (I left it out like a dummie) and he cried like a baby for all those people on those flights who died. The WTC accident got to him the hardest. He still talks about it to this day. Tragic.
I don't know about you, but I do fear another attack like this again. It's hard not to.
You gals seriously make this kind of money? I am losing my job at the hospital
and thought I would never find a job that will pay that kind of money and its 14.50. I thought that was good!!!!! So you are telling me if I worked my tail off being an IC I could make more?? Break it down for me? How many hours a pay period, how many lines, how many cents per line?
I was actually regretting losing this job, but may be it is an opportunity.
I do love those younger gals though, the always pudgy ones in hip riders and too too tight tops.

now, with your system, the Dragon, you bought it yourself? and you make tons more lines than without it? that is the system I was considering asking my employer if they might offer.
does your employer know you use it, do they approve?
that is what my boyfriend had suggested (excuse if it was not clear), the systems for personal use, like you have, and to use it with my job for a national. just like you do, he said why not dictate it rather than type it yourself.

Remember what the word "decision" means: It literally means "to cut off from." That's not flimsy like a New Year's resolution that people break. You made a decision. The day may come that you get weak and tired and think maybe things weren't so bad or maybe he has changed. Be READY FOR IT and plan now that you'll stand by your *decision*.
Not anywhere near Illinois, unfortunately. Keep reaching out. Call the local YWCA. If it's like here, they'll offer free counseling and help to people, often the majority of which end up being abused women trying to leave their husbands.
You are a wise woman. I hope you realize that. No shame in asking for help. People want to help you! This will all be history someday. Don't you already feel stronger? I bet it feels pretty darn good. Stay with it!

I've been doing this 20 years, and always wanted to have my own accounts/business, but I've been afraid of failure. This week I started sending out letters to local physicians. I'm feeling good about it. I think I can do it now.
I love the mentoring idea. Someone mentored me 20 years ago when I had no experience whatsoever. So, whenever I get some accounts, I think I'm going to do that as well.

Yes, we usually go to Disney World..but we just went to Florida (for a cruise in May) and it's stinking hot so we didnt want to go there until like next spring. California is pretty warm this time of year but it's not humid hot like FL..Vegas is our first love.. We just got back from there a few weeks ago. We go like every 3 months and I, of course, take my computer there too LOL.. gotta mix business with pleasure and I certainly couldnt afford my passion, TRAVEL, if I didnt work some while I was there. I am addicted to WORK and also TRAVEL.. People always say..you work too much..70-90 hours a week but the same people say I travel too much..go figure.. My motto.."I do work hard.. but I play HARDER

Thanks so very much for posting that. And for the melatonin, I was wondering if it was seratonin or melatonin, this helps. You are right. I wonder what's the difference if we get sleep during the days? I am going to read up on this definitely. If the insurance companies or anyone else takes advantage of this, the workforce will decline at night. What about the 24-hour staff decline many service organizations need? Like hospitals or transcriptionists, police officers, nurses, EMTs, etc. Even the 7-11! Some people can't afford a hike in insurance. I know I can't with a family to support. Well, maybe we'll get better differential now than we have already (doubt it). Oh well, can't worry about it because I am sure there is a study somewhere that says worrying leads to cancer too. Thanks again for the link.

I kinda do that same thing -- only I'm secretly putting $$ into my business account for my "vacation fund." He NEVER wants to go on vacation and always says we don't have $$. Well, i HAVE to have my vacations. So whenever I get enuf $$ put together, i present it to him and book that cruise!
