This is grossly exaggerated.

The US does not have the best health care. The Canadian wait times is multifactorial is not based soley because it is socialized medicine. Of course, there is a wait time for elective surgeries. Absolutely not are people waiting years for cancer treatment.

This is always the mantra for those who are afraid of socialized medicine to exaggerate the pitfalls and completely ignore the high points.

Educate yourself on the subject and here is a start:

I exaggerated the part about
1/2 the pay for working twice as hard, but in my opinion that is quickly becoming the trend...

Also, I apologize ahead of time, for any typos.  I am not on the clock right now and am not obsessive/compulsive about it all...

What do you do when a company grossly misrepresents itself?

Isn't it considered a breach of contract for them to state certain things in their job ad and training session but not follow through on those certain things?  I heard such great things about this company.  The reality is just not what I was told.  The account is easy and I got to pick my own schedule.  Those are about the only positives.

Certain things about this company are so much worse than anything I ever complained about.  I can't go into details or they'll know who I am.  I know they lurk on this board because that's how I got the job to begin with.  The office staff is so short-tempered and rude.  They pass the buck and blame everyone else for everything.  We get daily group e-mails ranting about quality and production but we were dropped into the job with no account specs or QA feedback.  You follow the BOS, then you get chewed out for not psychically determining account style preferences that weren't provided to begin with.  It's impossible to get decent lines there due to the lousy platform, daily faxes, and patient lists to enter MR info from.  It takes 20 minutes each morning to weed through emails and download faxes.  They run out of work all the time.

I haven't been able to sleep for a week now.  I'm feeling really depressed.  I told myself this would be my last MT job ever or I'd get out of the field because I've been reamed over too many times.  Christmas is less than a month away.  I can't even find another job.  I can't just quit either with a mortgage to pay and their contract I was dumb enough to sign.  Why would people say this company is so great if it's not?  I can't be the only one having problems with them.

I know that you are angry in this post, but you are grossly misinformed

The doctor billed you $500, but his insurance reimbursement is approximately 150 to 200 per case.  They don't get paid for the PE before this or the f/u visit to discuss results.  They cannot do 20 of these per day, well no a doctor that you would want treating your mother.  There are still office costs while they are over in the hospital doing procedures. Some office expenses run them 5000/day for help, equipment, rent, malpractice, etc.

Believe me, this doctor is not getting rich doing colonoscopies.

I agree. Bean-counters desperately wanting to believe the exaggerated claims for SR make them easy

Gossip. Saw both interviews. Grossly misdone by the media to imply US hatred. Johnny Depp lives has
dual citizenship in France and US as his wife is French. He does NOT hate USA. He vehemently denied this. He did "own" that he said the USA sometimes seemed like an aggressive puppy, jumping on other countries to make them do something the USA wanted. Had to do with the whole French thing during the war.  That's ALL he said, and he later said he is not politically savvy and should have kept his mouth shut.  He was sad for all the American soldiers being killed.
