 I have been having serious lag ever since the updated version of IE downloaded.  Norton always caused a problem with lag for me, so I changed to AVG.  One thing you could try is to unplug your internet connection for about 15 seconds and then reboot.  Sometimes this seems to help mine.  Otherwise, just keep everything updated and cleaned out and PRAY that it goes away....that's what I'm doing
