 filter
You have to have a line filter on it.
I would think the sun's glare would be a problem, sm
to say nothing of the dust blowing around. Computers need to be in low humidity but not too low that you get static electricity. Your C-phone cords and pedal could pose a problem, too. Laptop keyboards are not designed to take the pounding MTs give them. The MTs I know of that use laptops have a regular computer keyboard hooked up to them. This would be a lot of work on a daily basis for you.
 air filter change

Anyone know how often your air filter is supposed to be changed in your car?  TIA.

It's a stupid question, but you didn't mention your spam filter  Is it on?  There is an options button on the mail page where you can make sure that your spam filter is on.  I have yahoo and this catches 99% of it.  Some of it still comes through, but I just click those as spam and it's not an issue.  It's maybe one or two a week.
Oh yes, and don't forget the glare a cat gives when you are trying to see past them! (nm)

You might try a filter that you can get from Radio Shack.
It is probably just interference from something in your neighborhood, perhaps a ham operator or something like that?
You need the compatibility filter from the MS site.

 Reduce lighting and screen glare
You might need a screen for your computer monitor to cut down on glare, and/or wear the lightest sunglasses you can find or get a new prescription for glare. You can't get rid of them, but this seems to help. Of course being an MT can cause headaches also, lol
 you're welcome - actually it's anti-glare screen.
nutso me *l* - it's an antiglare screen *cyberslaps self*  *lol*
Tell them your ISP has installed a new SPAM filter and a it's intercepting a lot of your e-mails

17 inch is a good size - they have glare screens

I have had both types of monitors - now both 17 inches but one is a flat screen and one is not.  They do offer glare screens to put over your monitors to cut down on glare which stress the eyes.  I have no problems and been using a computer monitor doing this MT work since 1990, but been transcribing for much longer than that.
Best of luck!   I bought a glare reducing screen to put on monitor from ebay. nm

For tired eyes, get an anti-glare screen to put on monitor. Amazing difference. I had
