You are a hypocrit. You attack me for my position and then say you have a right to yours. Typical.

I did not attack anyone, just stated an opinion.  You have been up and down this thread attacking every single person for posting something you don't like.  Talk about pot-kettle-black.  LOL!!!  Well, my last post to you. You are seriously cyberderanged.

you callin me a hypocrit?
or calling yourself one?
Um, I'm sorry, but I did not attack anyone...sm

I simply made a statement regarding what I feel is MORE important...I am entitled to my own opinion, and no it doesn't have to conform with YOURS or anyone else's for that matter...In general, animals have more rights than children...people are more passionate when it comes to animals than they are when it comes to children.  That's a fact and I'm sorry that it is that way.

I, on the other hand, am not a bleeding heart animal rights activist.  Yes, this is a horrible story and no, I do not agree that it should be happening, BUT I also do not agree that right here in our very own country hundreds of thousands of children are abused, even killled every day and it's just a thang...forgive me for ruffling any feathers...or fur...or whatever I might have ruffled in the animal lovers kingdom...

Above: they can only attack during
:P
What was the name of the attack?
... did you get a rebooting prompt over and over?  What did moderator say what it was?
She didn't attack anyone
except a selfish MTSO who is so unsure of her principals that she won't even identify herself.  YOU and people like yourself who want to justify using this "slave labor" are the enemy to the MT world - Not the MTs.
Right here, and don't attack the messenger when you don't like it.

America and the Poor...

Wednesday, September 14, 2005

By Bill O'Reilly

America and the poor, that is the subject of this evening's “Talking Points Memo.”

The aftermath of Katrina has produced a debate over poor Americans. There are about 37 million people living below the poverty line right now. The issue was described this way by Newsweek (search) reporter Evan Thomas (search), a liberal guy but not alone, who writes, "Liberals will say [the authorities] were indifferent to the plight of poor African-Americans. It is true that Katrina laid bare society's massive neglect of its least fortunate."

Massive neglect? Let's take a look at that bit of overstatement. Halfway through President Clinton's tenure in office in 1996, the poverty rate was 13.7 percent. Halfway through President Bush's tenure, the rate is 12.7 percent, a full point lower.

In 1996, the Clinton budget allotted $191 billion for poverty entitlements. That was 12.2 percent of the budget and a whopping amount of money. That's why Bill Clinton (search) was called the first black president by some.

However, the Bush 2006 budget allots a record shattering $368 billion for poverty entitlements, 14.6 percent of the entire budget, a huge increase over Clinton's spending on poverty entitlements.

Did the elite media mention that? Jesse Jackson (search) mention that? Of course they didn't, because it's much more convenient for Evan Thomas and others to imply America under President Bush has turned its back on the poor, but it's absolute nonsense.

Even in the midst of the war on terror, this country's spending a massive amount of money trying to help the poor. So why the lie? Because political gain can be made off the suffering of others, that's why.

Those who oppose the Bush administration don't care about the truth. They only want to advance their own agenda. So once again, the no- spin zone rides to the rescue.

Hard-working Americans are providing the poor with Medicaid, food stamps, supplemental security income, that's free money, child nutrition programs, welfare payments, child daycare payments, temporary assistance to needy families, foster care, adoption assistance, and health insurance for children.

But it will never be enough for the Jesse Jacksons and Howard Deans of the world, never. They told you the truth. They'd go out of business.

Now I fully expect to be attacked by the far left media for telling you all this. I'm sure they will label me a racist, a shill for Bush, stuff like that, but I don't care. The dollars don't lie. We are a generous nation. And that is the truth. And that is “The Memo.”

Panic attack - SM
My daughter used to have them (started at about age 14) to the point where it was absolutely debilitating.  We had a really rough year.  Her family doctor wanted her to take antidepressants, which she tried and that was a nightmare in and of itself.  I finally took her to an MD who was a hypnotherapist.  Not one single panic attack after the first session.  This was 4 years ago.  I truly believe this doctor saved her life.
That is not a "panic attack". Please sm.
You obviously need someone to talk to. You are experiencing a great amount of stress. I (and I think most all of us) can understand that.

With a true panic attack, and, I cannot say this enough times, you think you are going to DIE. THEN AND THERE.

What you are going thru is extreme stress. Okay? And, that's not easy; please don't take my words to mean anything less. But, you have not experienced a true panic attack.

Believe me, if you do, you will not be posting on the internet asking for advice. You won't think that you have time. You will honestly, thoroughly, undoubtedly believe you are dying.
Anxiety attack maybe
I have read some of the other posts and yours. It sounds to me like maybe an anxiety attack, but not a panic attack. Panic attackes are usually more severe like those others have explained. I have anxiety attacks where I cannot catch my breath and cannot talk. My mom has suffered two panic attacks that were much different and more severe. One landed her in an ambulance. Panic attacks are like others have said you feel like you are dying. Those around you may suspect a heart attack or that you are dying when you are actually having a panic attack. My mom did not know where she was or who anybody was. She could not speak or breath clearly. She could not move either. I can understand not having insurance. I have been there. I would monitor if it happens again and when you are able to go see a doctor. We have a discount clinic in our town so maybe you can check into that. They charge a cheaper office visit fee.
I didn't mean it as an attack, and sorry if it
came across as that. To me, it seems like a question from someone who doesn't understand the MT field and the absolute necessity of not making errors. QA scores are often based on the gravity of the error - minor, major, impacting patient care, etc. Usually MTs who question how their error could possibly impact patient care just don't get it - to them, an error is just a minor thing, and, after all, we're only human, so it shouldn't be held against MTs, etc. So I obviously incorrectly jumped to the conclusion that you were questioning how an MT error could really be life threatening to a patient! My bad.
don't attack her re self absorbed....sm
From a very early age, all kids understand deals and contracts.  Mom wants something done....kids want things - it becomes a deal.  I've had 150% success with this understanding over 25 years.  Being a mom may be a selfless situation, but success CAN be gleaned with deals and contracts.
I have a panic attack
just thinking about it.
excuse me, but I did not attack
you when you disagree. I have the same right to an opinion as anybody else and the right to express them as do you, which I am very much afraid is fast disappearing from this country with our other rights. But having seen some of your other posts, I can't help but wonder if you just always take the adverse view in the name of an argument. But that, also, is your right and I have 2 sons who served their country for you to have it. I do think if I were in HER house, I would go by their home rules, but, she just walked into mine and no, she does not pay for any of our rights we take so for granted. Maybe while we are all here screaming at each other, we will be much too busy to pay attention to anything that may be really important. So I will accept the fact we will agree to disagree and leave it at that.
I was thinking next year on 06/06/06 they are going to attack us again.
I wonder if this day has any significance in London as our 9/11 was significant. It's an evil world filled with satanic people. Not just this but look at the crimes of Americans against Americans in Idaho, etc.
Carb attack for dinner
I know you all will think this is horrible but it was one of my faves from grade school.  Canned ravioli and mashed potatoes.  Can anyone say carb overload???  lol.
Carb attack all day long....

Hyperventilating/Panic Attack
I just had a panic attack and was hyperventilating.  Should I go to the doctor?  No insurance.
Just about had a heart attack, my doc sent me my check -sm
and instead of it being $78 it was $780, thought maybe a bonus?  But figured that could not be the case so I called, and sure enough they had a new person doing the checks and she goofed, boy big goof.  She say she caught one to me last time that was $1000, supposed to be $100 (very small account obviously).  I just hope she is not doing this to their vendors because someone might not be nice and just run with the money.
Not at all typical!
nm
Typical....

Your bad behavior has to be tolerated  and  the heck with everybody else.  Another example of bad manners.

That's typical VR
I promise this was an actual sentence. The doctor dictated, "This is Dr. Wilson Period." Of course, we know that should be plugged into the demographics screen.

What VR transcribed was, "This is Dr. Wilson Perianal."

LOL. Yeah, one day it will be perfect. That's funny!!!
Panic attack and kids' fathers
I feel your pain about arguing with your daughter's father. My ex-husband is a control-freak jerk who is still trying to control everything my daughter and I do, even 10+ years later!! Unfortunately, my daughter has some health issues and her dad wants to be able to "approve" any medications the doctor prescribes before I give them to her! This is the guy who has seen his daughter for a total of about six hours in the last four months - ridiculous!
Transient Ischaemic Attack (accident)

You'd give a heart attack to everybody I know down south here. lol. sm
It is just not done. I don't know how close the friends are that will be invited, but if I were you I'd just get people to spread the word somehow that you don't want gifts. Lord, my grandmother would roll over in her grave.
A 20 y/o who suddenly just died of a heart attack? Seems odd.
l
Their attack on non-CMT's is a pretty good barometer
Of COURSE they're gonna say they'd rather have their medical records typed in India. The main source of wealth is coming from promoting offshore transcription, and from conning offshore MT's into buying into their phone credentialling system. If they're so 'pro-MT', then why have they been so instrumental in moving so much of it out of the US?
What a load of bull they're feeding everyone.
I don't have a typical day, one day I can do 2500

lines in about 12 hours and another day I'm lucky to get 1000 in 8 hours.   I have an expander, have a few templates but don't get those dictators on a regular basis.  I do NOT have to enter any demographic information or look up addresses, etc.   I  work in batches, don't have to save each report separately.  I have enough experience that I rarely have to work up anything, but also will spend 30 minutes searching for something rather than leave a blank.

I get up frequently.  I try to apply myself for at least a good hour or more and then take a short break.  My feet swell really bad and I'm getting butt spread so I try to get up and move around.  I never thought I was a particularly fast typist, but did the time clock thing and found that I was averaging 270+ lines/hour.  Some days I work 6 hours/day, some days 8 to 10.  I may have a superduper day where I make 3000 lines/day, but the next day I only do 1000, because I just can't routinely do 3000 lines/day and have a life.

The thing that has helped me most is limiting my time on-line and having my e-mail so that I can't see/hear when a new one comes up so I don't stop typing and check e-mail.

I routinely do 85+% ESL, but maybe once a month get a day where I have lots of normals and that spoils you.

But this is not your typical dictation

I usually do 30 minutes in 45 minutes to an hour also but this is something completely different and it almost gets to the point you pull your hair out when you cannot hear what they are saying during this meeting or several talk at once, etc.  So you cannot use this rule of thumb -- believe me I have been there many times.

Again I would guess between 8 to 12 hours and feel good if you get it done in 8.

Typical media; what do they know.
nm
Yep, but that's typical for a national.

QA typical per line pay

I am thinking about changing over to QA but am wondering what the pay per line normally starts out at.  Can anyone give me some help.

Sounds like a typical guy..)) n/m

"Sorry, Mrs. Pheebles, but we can't treat your heart attack..."
"It seems the Conficker worm just ate your medical records."
'Bout gave me a HEART ATTACK, but no pay cute here.
Somehow I dont think they would cut MTs' pay 30 percent without some sort of advance notice, done in such a way that people such as me, who didn't get any email, would find out about it on MT Stars. That's why I don't believe it.
I do not think that 8 hour a day supervisor is typical at all.

Typical welfare mentality, just sit with
your hand out and do nothing to help yourself. Let the taxpayers take care of you. Never take any responsibility for your own welfare or the welfare of your family, just collect the welfare bounty that everyone else pays taxes to provide. Why shouldn't people be prepared?
Typical care about no one else mentality
Typical me..me..me, dont care about the rest of the people, lock me and my family await in a gated community and who cares about anyone else mentality.  God help you if you are ever the victim of a disaster and did not have the time or money to buy supplies.  I sure hope every one around you has your attitude and you feel the pain of hunger and thirst..Hello, America, where are you?
Dottie, maybe you could take a typical page of
how much you're currently making per page on cpl basis.  If it's more than $2.50, you'll lose money working for the insurance company.
A $300+ bill is typical for us in Arizona. sm

We use the payment plan so our bill is the same every month. They average all 12 months and come up with a month payment.  Our winter bills usually would be as low as $70 if we weren't on the payment plan.

Can't live here without AC - no way, no how.

What are the typical hours for 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts ... sm
or are they different with every company?  What is the difference in pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts?  TIA
Not typical, but does happen. Move on to

What is a typical rate for QA per line?
?
If that is your typical attitude, well...I think we all understand now.
Wishing you peace and the very best of luck.
Terror attack in London, explosions in the subway, many deaths

Interesting and typical. Accept responsibility for nothing
He's a loser
No, it is not typical. Please search for a company that respects you more than that. nm

Hahah..typical male answer to me..
I had a doc dictate once that his patient was annoyed because when he had gone to the pharmacy to pick up his RX (which he didn't know was going to be called in) it was for Flagyl and not some free Vicodin, and that he wasn't going to take the Flagyl because he wasn't supposed to drink beer with it.
Typical liberal, start with the name-calling when you have nothing else
So typical, "Don't do as I do, do as I say".

Failure, uneducated, jealous, resentful, TYPICAL.
What's typical for your email addr. w/nationals? sm

Help! need info. Would like responses from multiple people please.

Just started a new job last week. Everyone I get mail from, supervisors, tech, mgmt, etc. have a  So&so@OurCompany.com type email. (I'm not saying what company), but they are having me use my personal email.

Can't help wondering if I have been singled out for some reason. I feel totally excluded.

Also, even email that is obviously addressed to a large group has only my name/email in the To: box. This seems very strange. Why would it be top secret what group/s it is to, i.e., "All MT's, Hospital XYZ group, etc.

It seems as if I'm only getting email as a blind copy from everyone. How can I figure out whether all the other MTs have So&so@OurCompany.com addresses assigned & some higher up just hates me for some reason, or whether all MTs do not get a company-assigned email address?

That's a typical hourly rate for remote
I personally wouldn't drive that far for it.
As long as it's typical stuff, you can't go wrong. nm
