My son was a chamberlain in one about 2 years ago. A nice dress would be appropriate. A gift is fine, too. Check out the web for gift suggestions as it is a "rite of passage" and a promise to remain a virgin until marriage and a lot of symbolism is involved, but a very nice Mass and ceremony.
