an agent would be a good thing I think - tested at 4 companies so far and have downloaded 4 different transcription/dicatation platforms, each of which I have to learn just to take the test.  Plus I am holding off on the foot pedal and equipment til I get set - so I use F-keys, and without a "real" transcription headset, sometimes I'm holding my computer speakers against my ears!!  The test I flunked was because I had to listen on one screen, minimize, type, minimize, listen - I ended up WRITING the transcription by hand and then typing from my writing needless to say I left out a phrase, etc, etc, etc.  One company, owned by people from another country, sent me dictation I could barely hear on their platform and the doctors were HORRIBLE English speaking doctors.  I can;t understand why they would make that test so hard, normally wtih that kind of dr. You look up an old report or something to get the phrasing.  So I sent it with 5 blanks in about 15 minutes of dictation and never heard from them again.  This is really hard, because I HATE this in-house job.  I don't even speak to the manager any more.
