I hate Pampered Chef parties and all those that I get invited to where it is really about me paying for junk.

Who else hates these things?

I have THE candle for you!
Where I work-we have had a candle by hillhousenaturals.com that smells the WHOLE house and has a unbeatable scent-I bought every single one we had in store! you will not be disappointed trust me!
I love candle making, and you can get
really nice boxed starter sets at craft stores like Ben Franklin or Michael's.
Yankle Candle also has a scent
They have a scent to suit every mood! Huge Yankee Candle fan! :-)
Quiet with a candle burning. Shh....nm

I don't think anyone hates MQ.
I think we are all disappointed in them right now. I have been with them 8 years myself. The only problem I have is the significant decrease in lines since starting DQS. Not to mention being on account that I dislike greatly for the past year and cannot seem to get changed. Other than that they have been good to me. I must admit though it is not the same as when I started. There have been a lot of changes and some not so good. After 6 years, you must notice the changes also.
Exactly. Not everyone hates their

Yes, I see why she hates editors
If this comment is representative of your editing. There are ways to point out errors without making someone feel like an idiot.  These postings don't exactly need to be "edited," ya thank?
I agree, and if she hates MT so much and can't

why she doesn't get off the darn board and go find something that is more to her liking.  She claims that the equivalent of 15 to 18 cpl doing MT is "entry level" pay at any other job.  Well, what's stopping her from going out and getting one of those jobs since MT doesn't suit her?

This is an MT board and I don't think someone needs to be here bashing MT.  I and several others have stated that we make $35, $40+ an hour doing MT.  I feel fortunate to make the money I do.  In fact sometimes I get tired of doing MT and I would LIKE to do something else, but I couldn't make this kind of money doing anything else, so I'm in it for the long haul.  I started out at the bottom not making much and my hard work has paid off and now I am reaping the benefits.  'Shroom needs to quit complaining and get one of the jobs she mentions that pay so much better than MT, or make herself a better MT so she can make more money.

Am I the only one that hates Meditech?? NM

Actually, if he hates dictating sm

and he is NOT alone in this, you could suggest his coming up with normals for stuff he says all the time and then dictate around those.  This is a joint effort with the physician because he will have to sign them and have what he wants in them.  You don't negotiate a lower fee for this either, btw, since it takes time to drop them in and to come up with them in the first place.

If he has some F/Us for say a total knee, then he could have a total knee note like:  Pt is ____ days postop. I removed the staples from the ____ knee.  Pt is to return in ____ weeks' time for followup.

WIth the above, you would drop in the canned text and he could dictate Ms. Josy Blow is 10 days out, had staples, return in 2.  Or just 10, right, 2 on his end.  I have normals provided by the company I work for, then I have many of my own.  Some are a full note because they rarely vary.  Some are parts of notes.  Some are just shells with headers.  ANYTHING not to have to type it all! While you have no problems typing them for him, he doesn't like to dictate so yes, you can help him solve his problem AND cut down your work and worry.

MQ pity parties

Why don't one of you MQ whiners start a blog so the rest of us with the good sense NOT to stay with a crappy company don't have to see your "poor me" posts.  It is not that we read them, it is just a pain to have to navigate around them.  If you don't have the sense God gave a goose and leave a company that treats you so shabbily, then you deserve to be there.  Just don't subject the rest of us to your pity parties.  Someone start a blog, where you can all go and whine to each other, while your kids "starve".  Btw, if your kids were starving, it would be your faults for not getting a job that would buy your groceries and pay your bills.

He has stated that he hates America
There was an item in the Washington Times. When the story was picked up and he was questioned, he tried to claim he was misquoted, but the reporter who was interviewing him when he said it had the film to prove it. He hates America, so he lives in France, but he apparently doesn't hate our money because he still works here and is happy to take as much money as the Americans he hates are willing to throw at him. He's not getting a penny of my money.
Brandi throws the best parties....

We did used to have a wild time.  I absolutely love TQ now that it is no more.  I used to have so much fun and got paid to do it.  Man--I was making $ hand over fist--bought my house--paid cash for all my furnishings, etc.--worked my @*#% off but it was great!!

Our block has parties a lot that go well into the night. sm
They have even had a couple of bands come and play. This was a problem last year for me because I needed my sleep and worked weekends. This year, it will be nice since I now work nights. For a short street, it is really lively.
My husband HATES dancing, clubs, anything
of the sort. I love to dance and so go out with my friends from time to time to clubs to do so. A lot of my married, taken and single friends join me. We go out to have fun together, not to pick people up. There are exceptions. He doesn't mind that I do this from time to time, just like I don't mind him playing pool (at a bar) with the guys from time to time. Also, we do have young kids at home too. Just because you are married and have kids doesn't mean you can't have a social life too.

A couple of times a week, without me, no way. That kind of pattern shows there is something else going on. He might not be seeing someone else, but I think maybe he doesn't want to be home...or it could be both.
Anyone going to any Harry Potter midnight parties?

No midnight parties here, but love the books!

I've only seen the first one at the movies, but I'm not much of a movie or TV person.  More of a reader. Can't wait to get the book to add to the collection.  Started the collection with my son who has lost interest at 15.  He looks like Harry though.  He went to the playground one day when he was 12 (dark hair, little round glasses) and all of the little kids were screaming, "It's Harry Potter!  It's Harry Potter!" and running after him.  He said, "MOM, IT WAS AWFUL!"  He now has contact lenses and he put his magic wand away.

Xmas parties where the Prez gets silly,

company-covered bar tabs, having someone come and listen to your blanks, staff meetings, being able to look someone in the eye, your supervisor inviting everyone over to her house for brunch on Sunday. Having the choice whether to work in the office or work at home.

The downside? The typical problems working with a bunch of women. Then there was the fact that I was not a social butterfly and didn't like the endless requests for money to fund birthday, wedding, baby, sick, divorced, married parties, Tupperware, Chef this, Southern that yadda yadda yadda fests. The lunch you were so looking forward to no longer being the in fridge, but the wrapping is in the trash. A favorite reference book being found on someone else's desk at the other end of the hall. And she smokes. Ergo, your book now smells to high heaven because she sneaks her smokes in the office during her late night shift, and her nasty, smelly fingers have been all over it (only a nonsmoker will understand how awful this).  And she claims she doesn't know HOW the book got there when you ask.

Would I do it all again? In a heartbeat.

they always have and always will have hurricaine parties and joke about death.
I grew up in hurricaine country - there are folks who would much rather die at home.  I do not understand it, but I know that its true.
they are the only parties that I go to anymore....great food!
......
Is this beauty control? I use to sell, but never did parties. SM
I had my opening party, but that was it. I served the food at the table in the kitchen. Everyone just helped themselves and then sat in the chairs I had out in the livingroom to eat. Once we got started, everyone pretty much disposed of their plates and then settled in. I think it worked out good. I had everything ready when they showed up, but I think that everyone pretty much waits until other people get there before they start eating. I would definitely offer drinks when they get there though.

The menu sounds great, so don't worry about that. Seems like a lot of variety for them to choose from.

Don't be nervous...just relax and enjoy it. That's the purpose of the spa party :) Good luck!

I guess I'm the odd ball; I LOVE going to home parties! sm
But on the other hand, I HATE shopping. I do the majority of my shopping from home parties -- Lia Sophia (sp?) jewelry, Tastefully Simple (a fave), Pampered Chef. I'm waiting to go to a Southern Living Home Show but haven't been invited to one yet.
I hate any of those "obligated to buy junque at a party" parties

I have a greyhound that absolutely hates storms, hides in the walk-in closet for at least an hour
after they are over.  She shakes, also, and if this gets bad, I give her Dramamine when I know a storm is coming up.  You might do this when storms are predicted, shouldn't do anything but calm them down and make them a little drowsy.  Also, be sure and give the medication for the first time when you are going to be around in case your dog has an adverse reaction.  Check with your vet for dosage -- Have a greyt day and hope this helps!
Don't mind candles, Pampered Chef, or Tastefully Simple. HATE Mary Kay parties! nm
