I'm so sorry for your loss.  I'm no expert on grief but have surely had a lot of loss in my life and understand your depression.  It takes time but the fact you are reaching out is a good thing.  The pain lessens over time - and it is different for each of us.  You are lucky to have had such a wonderful relationship with your dad and have those memories.  In time they will put a smile on your face instead of tears in your eyes.  In the meantime you have to grieve in your way and in your own time.  Crying and "letting it out" always helps me but nothing speeds up the process.  I don't know what your spiritual beliefs are either.  Do you believe in an "afterlife" or anything similar?  Perhaps to read some books on that subject would help.

Again, I'm so sorry and hope your husband is supportive in your grieving.  Loss is part of life though I know it doesnt make it any easier to accept.
