WPM has nothing to do with it - sm

Obviously the faster you type the better, but being a newbie even typing 80 WPM you will be stopping and starting often to look up terms, verify terms, entering shortcuts into your word expander, etc. That all slows you down. It takes time to build up your expander. I add to mine almost every day still and I have been doing this for 7 years. You will be putting in 10-14 hour days probably at first in order to meet your daily line requirements, unless you land some easy gravy job by some miracle. The nationals are the ones who mainly require 1200 lines a day. Starting off it is best to for for a small MTSO, many of them don't operate on required daily quota, just do the work they give you that day basically not matter how much or how little it is, and if they do have a daily line requirement it usually is in the range of 2500/5000 per week PT/FT, which is much more reasonable.
