I don't know of anyone in the MT business who thinks in terms of *words per minute.* Rather, it's *lines per hour* or sometimes *keystrokes per hour* (which can easily be converted to lines per hour by dividing Keystrokes by 65).

It's not just about your raw *speed* -- it's assumed (and expected!) that you'll be using some form of shortcut program or auto-text or macros that will greatly boost your production in an hour of transcribing.

You could get a ballpark estimate of your transcription speed by using the *count* option in MS Word: Transcribe for 15 minutes, check your *count - including spaces* and times this by 4, then divide by 65.
