You got finagled into a raw deal!  Paying money for applying and testing is not acceptable or necessary.  Now THAT lesson has been learned! ugh. It's been assumed you have an inferior education, but I don't know how that conclusion was made.  I'll assume you've done everything right.  Completing the course is the easy part of your journey.  The hard part is finding your first job.  A very few are lucky, and just fall into something they can do and like. Most have to pound the pavement to find the place that will take a recent grad.  Some companies do regularly. Find those companies.  (Searching MT discussion sites will offer some suggestions.)  They may not be exactly what you want, but you have to do what you have to do to get experience.  It's even better to work inhouse as a newbie,in order to have direct and immediate help.  You won't have very good pay to start with, unless you can get paid by the hour, which mostly happens inhouse.  Everything comes with time. Keep pounding the pavement, and take what comes your way to begin with.  Once you have a year or 2 of experience, you'll be better able to pick and choose.  The more experience you have, the more freedom (and income) you have. Hang in there!  Be persistent, and you'll do fine.
