nothing original in what he said. Same old, same old...just like what he said: "I will not change. I have been in the senate for 30 years. I will not change." and then a breath later, said "Barack and I will bring change." Hmmm....I won't change. I have been in the senate 30 years and I won't change. and if you'd read any of my posts, you'd know that. Besides, there are as many leftwing nutjobs - but I won't insult you with that title just on the basis of your posts.
And Specter was hardly a moderate. He voted with the democrats more than he voted with republicans, so I say it's about time he at least got honest about where his loyalties lie.
As far as losing ground, that may be true - for now. Government works in cycles and things will cycle around to the republicans once again.
