if you live in a country such as Indonesia that does not recognize dual citizenship and you want to enjoy the benefits of citizenship in said country (going to school in Indonesia, for example) then you would have to become a citizen. He did that by being adopted by his stepfather. Once your American citizenship is nullified, you have to reapply for it. There is nothing on record, according to those who have investigated, that shows he reapplied for US citizenship.

But I think this whole argument may be void if you will look to the top of the board.
