Way to go Gov. Palin! Bright, confident, knowlegeable, cheerful, intelligent, aware of what's gone wrong with our economy and how to fix it, knows foreign politics, knows the voting records of Obama, Biden & McCain. Knows how to help the every day americans get ahead in life. Smart on education, highly intelligent about being energy independent. Knows that America needs to take back Washington and make it work for us and knows how to get it done. Already has the experience of being governor. Anyone notice that whenever she said that Obama/Biden would raise your taxes Biden never said disagreed. Gov. Palin connects with everyone and that will come out. Biden made at least 6 mistatements tonight and I think Americans will see that Obama/Biden will say anything thinking they'll get people's votes. I'm waiting for them to come out with Clinton's old line "I feel your pain".

WFTV-Channel 9's Barbara West conducted a satellite interview with Sen. Joe Biden on Thursday. A friend says it's some of the best entertainment he's seen recently. What do you think?
West wondered about Sen. Barack Obama's comment, to Joe the Plumber, about spreading the wealth. She quoted Karl Marx and asked how Obama isn't being a Marxist with the "spreading the wealth" comment.
"Are you joking?" said Biden, who is Obama's running mate. "No," West said.
West later asked Biden about his comments that Obama could be tested early on as president. She wondered if the Delaware senator was saying America's days as the world's leading power were over.
"I don't know who's writing your questions," Biden shot back.
Biden so disliked West's line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate's wife.
"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.
McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was "a result of her husband's experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West."

WFTV news director Bob Jordan said, "When you get a shot to ask these candidates, you want to make the most of it. They usually give you five minutes."
Jordan said political campaigns in general pick and choose the stations they like. And stations often pose softball questions during the satellite interviews.
"Mr. Biden didn't like the questions," Jordan said. "We choose not to ask softball questions."
Jordan added, "I'm crying foul on this one."

This was reported an hour or two before McCain had his little news conference. Shouldn't take to heart too much of what McCain says as he is a known liar.

So, even though we feel very strongly about something (and my group includes several Vietnam and other veterans), we should sit on our hands and keep our mouth shut until after the damage is already done? Not too effective if you ask me.

another point of view. I am well acquainted with history. My dad was a WWII vet and he could't believe we went into Iraq this time, but withheld judgement and supported his 2 grandson soldiers. My dad died the following June. My brother (the father of the aforementioned soldiers) is a retired Sergeant Major with many soldiers who served under him in the first gulf war. They could have gone in and gotten Saddam then; they were right there. He has told me many stories that would make your hair stand on end. So please don't make your sweeping assumptions about why I am against this war. I love my country as much as you do; the difference is, you, like Bush, don't like to be questioned. When is he going to admit he made a mistake? What is reasonable about attacking Iraq when they were not the ones who attacked us on 9/11? Why didn't we go after BinLaden? Why were members of his family allowed to escape? Please explain this to me, I'm a fool.

I am a Christian also and always first. I have been a Christian all of my life. My father is a Baptist preacher. I believe in Jesus and try to live my life for him. Dont kid yourself that John McCain and Sarah Palin are moral. There is not one, not one politician who is moral. None of them run the country with God's plan in mind. If they did, our world would not be like it is. Obama is not saying that he agrees that abortion is okay because he passes a vote for it. He is saying that a woman has the right to choose it for herself. Would he choose abortion for his wife, NO. But he doesnt feel that he should take the choice of free will from someone else. God gave us free will to sin or not to sin. We have the free will that God granted us to choose, choose Jesus, not choose Jesus. We each, individually will be held accountable for our choices. Why is giving someone a choice in a matter wrong? It is what that person chooses that is right or wrong and they are the ones that have to answer for it.

I was surprised because Bill is usually tough and takes his guests to task.
From my take, there was no denigrating of his nephew's service anymore than anyone else who speaks out against the war. Bill was the one who brought up his nephew's service and threw a fit about it as if his nephew was being singled out by Donahue when he said have your (Bills) children go fight in this illegal war.

All I hear from the McCain supporters on this site is their bashing of the Obama/Biden ticket. I have a question for all the McCain supporters. My question is: "What is your candidate, John McCain, going to do for this country that will benefit Americans?" Let's see how many of you can leave Obama's name out of your answer too. Just tell me what John McCain has proposed to help Americans get out of the recession we are facing.
