Something Obama seems to be very good at, from what I have found in my research. Something that is going to take him a long way because, as a professor of the Constitution, he knows how to manipulate dates and deadlines. Obama knew there would not be enough time to prove him ineligible.

As to why the eligibility requirements were not brought into question in his earlier elections to state senate and US senate positions, he was not required to be a natural citizen, only a citizen who had been a citizen a minimum of 9 years to be US Senator. The requirements for Illinois State Senator are probably even less, but I have not, nor do I feel a need, to investigate those.
