In Reply to: I've gotta put mine where it will grow without - risk.......don't have 20 years.

I pulled everything out of the market 2 months ago and put it into CDs. Pure luck on my part.

I think it was last August ..sm
and was called an "accord" or time table - troops to be out by 2011 with a force of 50,000 remaining longer for "training" Iraqi, etc. but the agreement was also contingent upon what the situation was on the ground, if situation erodes we stay longer.

Obama is basically carrying on with Bush plan.
FactCheck.org wrote about this in August

Biden's son quit as a lobbyist on August 25
Letter was not released until yesterday. No cigar.
Link August 2007!. Their system is starting

You should be so lucky! You have to
in Texas and since you are a nonbeliever, you don't have a chance! SORRY!
Well, you are lucky then sm
and it isn't crap for your information. I was menopausal in my 30s and my mother in her 40s and my 3 sisters in their 40s and we all had the symptoms. Go look them up. No need to be rude. By the way, I think Michelle is beautiful no matter what she wears, sleeves or not.
Oh lucky us! sm
We get to pay income tax, social security tax, VAT tax AND tax on our employment benefits. What's next? Taxing the very air we breathe?

I wonder if "they" have thought about the fact that this country went through a very taxing (pardon the pun) situation about 230 years ago and the results were the Boston Harbor turning into one big tea cup. Supposedly we have "representation" now, but I don't believe that our representatives are doing their jobs very well.
We aren't going to be THAT lucky.
Ignorance is, for whatever reason, simply not knowing something.

Like not knowing how the Downing Street memos have made your leader out to be a liar.

Like not knowing the history of our relationship to Iraq so you can make a coherent judgment about what is going on there now, and why.

Like not knowing that Bush tax cuts and budget deficits are strangling and endangering the country even worse than Reagan had a chance to do.

You know, stuff like that. Now there is plain and simple ignorance, where people just aren't exposed to the facts and so just don't know about them. Then there is also totally willful ignorance where people have every opportunity to see and understand the facts but simply refuse to do so. That's real ignorance of the kind you were probably referring to.
Aren't you lucky? PA Not only do we have

both candidates run a commercial every break, but also local politicians bombarding the airways.

I live in a county that receives TV from 4 different legislative districts and it's absolutely sickening.

Your hubby is one of the lucky ones
My father didn't get his and neither did I.
You're lucky. 1 dem and 1 pub and both
voted for it. We lost either way.
Call me *lucky* I guess....
I was listening when she made the comment about Bush family and the Correlone family...following a rant about Bush in general. It was on her regular talk radio show. There was no *skit.* The *skit* (which I did not hear live, but have heard in playback) was a taped thing where an announcer said the stuff about social security and killing the *bastard* et al, and she just laughed after it played. She actually said the bit about taking Bush out and shooting him herself. I thought I made that clear. I would not say I heard her say it if I did not hear her say it. I had heard about her and I wanted to see for myself. Lucky me, I happened to tune in on shoot Bush day. Although if one listened regularly she has probably said similar things repetitively. She is definitely a card-carrying member of the Hate Bush crowd.

I am glad I added to your amusement; however, alas, you did not rub me the wrong way. You wanted to keep it real...if it is going to be real, it needs to be real on both sides, Dem.

The time is long past for a liberal/Democrat/socialist/progressive or whatever they are calling themselves on any given day to make me mad. It is a waste of energy.

Keep on keepin' it real, Dem. :-)
87,000 in the arena. McWar will be lucky to get

Lucky for me, I am easily entertained . . .
Chuck is a great new TV show. I still watch Survivor. Big fan of Nip/Tuck. Dr. Who, although that is a British show. I like foreign films, so that isn't the Hollywood crowd either.

I know this isn't political but I can only take so much endless arguing with the same points being made over and over and over. It's like watching a train wreck. Which reminds me, I like watching Katie Couric on the Evening News, because that is sort of a train wreck too.
.....Not very lucky for the poor rabbit.....

and once you do get an appt., you're lucky if they
<< Run 'em in, run 'em out!
Whether it's cancer, stroke, or gout!
Prescribe 'em Prozac, other SSRI meds,
It doesn't really matter, cause it's all in their heads!
'Go ahead and sue me', the doctor wrote, 'and I'll sue you right back' (and then go buy a boat).
They thought Michael Moore's 'SICKO' was a big snitch,
But I think he was right - health care is a _itch!>>

Har-har. Obama will be lucky to get reelected
Besides, this isn't a bill. It's a proposal for an amendment to the Constitution (which would be required to repeal a prior amendment), and that takes two-thirds of the states approving, and that AIN'T gonna happen while this clown is Prez now that everyone's had a good horrifying view of him. Maybe some other time - and some other Prez.
Well, then you're lucky! Maybe it doesn't affect
nm
Yep, what a lucky guess. Tired of criticism

He's already turned it down once
He considered it in 1996 with Bob Dole, but turned it down. I doubt he would have done it now even if chosen. Not that he wouldn't have been great.
But this has turned into a different
conversation.
I already got pi$$ed and turned it off...nm

The only blind eye here was turned toward

turned down claim
My husband went through that too, what you need to get is an attorney who only gets paid, if he gets disability.  We did and finally thank God, we finally got it and boy did we ever need it.  You also get a retroactive amount from the first time you applied, so there was some money involved and now every month it goes into his account by direct deposit and each year it goes up a little more.
and turned a blind eye to all the rest
nm
She did cooperate. She turned over the tape of....
one of her office people calling the guy in question. Which he has already testified to was not at her request. She did not lie. Was Hollis French lying when he said that the governor's office was cooperating and no subpoenas would be necessary? Or is he lying now? When things changed is when she was named as the VP candidate. We should all be able to do the math on that one.
Turned a blind eye? Did you hear what
the "frightened senile old woman" had just called Louis Farrakhan's Messiah? Maybe next time Sen. McC will just let the crowd go, as O did this morning. After McC stood up like the man he is in front of his own, this morning when O was "acknowledging him," his someone from his own crown yelled "shoot him." I can assure you, you will not here a word of this on CNN or MSNBC and probably not anywhere else, but I heard it. O hesitated, smiled and kept kept on ranting. Now, when this happened at McC's rally, he was inciting riotous behavior and creating havoc, but O is calming his crowds. There is such a double standard in this election it is pathetic.
With the people who seemed turned off by Palin,

GW Bush turned out to be socialist
He is the poster boy for how deregulation doesn't work.  Now we all get to pay for his mistakes.  The rich people are technically on welfare now thanks to the average person.
I turned the TV off - can't stand to hear him

But that's my point, the military HAS turned into a kid club...
For the most part.  The recruiters prey on high school kids.  Let's take a poll out there of how many of you were capable of making truly wise life-impacting decisions at age 17 and 18?  I sure wasn't and my kids certainly weren't able to.  Deciding on college, maybe.  Deciding to party, most certainly.  And the problem with the military is that it is advertised as a ticket to education and world-travel, the recruiters don't advertise it as a one-way ticket to an immoral war.  And as you know, it is extremely hard to "quit" the military if there is a change of heart......
Uh, no, you and people like you turned the C board into a sewer. SM
Other than a few drive-bys, it's been great since then.  Thanks!
turned down for disability - notified the day of the funeral!
My sister-in-law was diagnosed with a heart condition and told she only had a matter of months to live. She applied for disability and her husband received the notice that her benefits were denied on the day of her funeral because they said she was not disabled. Now how much more disabled can you get?
Well, it has turned into a multimillion dollar business...
I just find it appalling that they made a $68 million profit and most of that came from aborting babies. It is the only service they render where they require cash up front. No wonder they don't want the laws repealed. They don't give a DANG about womens' reproductive choice. They care about a $68 million profit. I hope if McCain is elected the FIRST thing he does is work on removing federal funding from abortion. There is no way the american public en masse should have to pay for this stuff. Let the posters here keep sending their checks and all the pro-choicers, let THEM pay for it. Seems only fair to me.
Bush turned out to be a socialist and you were fooled by him
Our banks are under socialism now.
Yeah, he turned....gone over to the dark side...nm

Nope, PA turned Democrat last year.

Spector has had a few bouts with cancer and now this is his way to get out without retiring. That's what that is all about. He wll blame it on not being re-elected, but I doubt he wants to be re-elected. He did state he only got re-elected this term by 1%. So, if he didn't want out, why would he buck the pubs that were left in PA.

He's switching parties to be sure, and he hasn't done anything for PA lately due to his cancers. While I don't blame him for not being able to keep up, it's no reason for him to be a turncoat. In fact, he was a closet dem for years. So, come to think of it, he may win re-election because of it, but I will not vote for him.

yeah, but i turned on the TV to watch Days of Our Lives
and everyone watching that channel was doing so to watch Days of Our Lives. If we wanted to watch news, we would turn to news channels.
I think Gore has turned off enough people recently that most Dems don't even support him.
Thank God he was not elected.
Your precious Bush turned Wall St socialist and the banks TRUE
you voted for him and look what happened SOCIALISM by BUSH
