for whatever reason, I guess someone didn't like the fact that I posted about SP being brought up on investigation again for her crooked dealings! Then I got an angry response from someone about not posting political viewpoints on this board!! Why is this post allowed to stay, and mine was taken off? I guess freedom of speech is only allowed for the one side!!

I'm bringing up post I did this morning as it really irks me.
I'm proud to be a gun-toting, religious, redneck from PA, but we are not any more racist than any other state or person.
The O thinks we are all of the above, so why does he keep coming into the state to campaign? You would think he would fear us. His buddy Murtha really blundered on his comment and now thinks an apology will smooth things over. If the O gets in, he will take our guns away and we will have no protection at all from criminals. It's our constitutional right to own guns.
He's a glib talker but what is he really saying? He definitely can't smile or debate his way through the terrorists.
Rendel-D, our precious governor, ran our state into the ground with giving money away to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh mostly for convention centers and sports centers and now for casinos. Why? He loves sports and gambling. When Rendel was mayor of Philadelphia, he almost bankrupt that city with his shenanigans. I'm so glad his term will be over soon. Maybe then Pennsylvanians will be able to get back to work. Our roads are back to being #1 on the Worst Roads in the U.S. He made sure there would be no money for road construction.
He promised all kinds of tax cuts, property taxes mostly, if the bill passed for the casinos. That was a few years ago. Where's the cut? Our property taxes went up, not down! No rebates as he promised, but we have 20,000 (exaggeration) different ways to play the lotteries between instant tickets and 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 6 digits, power ball, etc.
Casey-D didn't do a good job for us, either. He made everyone who owned a service business (that was me back then) pay 6% sales tax on our earnings EXCEPT lawyers and doctors. I'm confused. Don't they provide a service? Sure they do. He also upped our taxes. His son, sad to say, is now a Senator. First he ran for another post and won, and before that term was up, he ran for Senator and won. How can the people of of PA fall for this again? Just hearing him talk makes me sick.
Sorry, I don't buy the dems making a better life for us. They make it worse.
I will get off my soapbox now.
I found the comments on Morning Joe this morning
about Palin rather disgusting. A bunch of overweight old men talking about how hot she is, the feelings (implying those sexual type of feelings) they get when 'near' her in person - Pat Bucanan (spelling?) jokes to stay away from his girlfriend. It was like watching men talk about Playboy centerfolds.
Where are all the women who normally attack that type of behavior? This woman has a husband, children. The fact I would never vote for her does not stop me from being completely nauseated at how they disrespected her.
Should this type of talk be accepted regarding a presidential candidate at all, period?
Is she beautiful, yes. Is she funny, yes. Is she a hunter who kills animals, yes. I appreciate all of those things, but someone who cannot get men to respect her...that would be worrisome in a serious job or say, running an entire country, we are told is in crisis. Not so sure I understand what is so 'gosh-darn' funny about it.
It's been removed, I think. That should tell you something. NM

Are we far enough removed from the election
I wish this was original (I'm not this smart) and I'm sorry if you've all already received it in your email but I thought it was great (you KNOW I'm a republican--you may not know that I love Condoleeza Rice and would have taken to the streets to support her in a bid for the presidency).
It has been suggested that if we really wanted to tick-off the dems, the party should get GWB to step down, now, as president, leaving Chaney as president. Chaney could then could ask for Condoleeza Rice to serve as his vice president (certainly not out of the question, given her position). Then CHeny could step down, thus producing the first Black Female president---and she'd be a republican!!!!
What a stitch!
Bush proves how far removed he is
Rep George Miller
Just when you thought it couldnt get any worse, President Bush proved once again just how far removed he and his Administration are from the life experiences of most Americans. The President issued an executive order on Thursday that makes it possible for federal contractors to pay extremely low wages to workers hired for the Gulf Coast rebuilding. Bush accomplished this by suspending the 1931 Davis-Bacon law, which says that federal contractors must pay their workers a prevailing wage on construction projects.
Contrary to the misinformation coming from the right wing that prevailing wages are actually high union wages, as John Fund wrote on The Huffington Post last week the truth is that the prevailing wage is just the average wage for a specific job function in a local area. In parts of the Gulf Coast, these wages for construction workers can be low even as low as $7, $8, or $9 an hour.
Deep poverty is a major part of the story of Hurricane Katrina, as is now plain for all of us to see. How are New Orleanians and other people in the region supposed to get back on their feet if they cant even make $7 an hour? Hundreds of thousands of people have just lost everything they had. America has to put Gulf Coast workers back to work and at wages that can help them and their families get back on their feet. Davis-Bacon guarantees a wage floor when they get back to work. If the President wants to help storm victims he should rescind his executive order immediately.
They must have removed it. I guess it's not surprising..
The guy acted like a real jerk.
Please report which link so it can be removed. nm
Please View Video Before it is Removed
This video clearly shows that George Bush warned Congress starting in 2001, that
this economic crisis was coming, if something was not done. But Congress refused
to listen, along with the arrogant Congressman, Barney Frank. This video says it
all. The liberal media reportedly did not want this video on You Tube--it was
taken off. This link is of the same video, but is routed through Canada .
Everyone in America needs to see this before it is yanked off the Internet
again!
