It's called a skin graft, if that, indeed, was where there was cancer removed....sm

My aunt had a cancer (don't remember the kind), the size of a grapefruit removed from her cheek, and the skin graft always stuck out after that.

You certainly have thin skin... I've been called a bigot among other things here.

More than one way to skin a taxpayer

or attack an amendment.  What good is a bullet launcher without bullets?  I heard that with their allotment of materials, manufacturers have been directed to make ammunition only for the government because of the war.  Hold on a second.....isn't the war supposed to be winding down??

It's been removed, I think. That should tell you something. NM

I never said that - please develop thicker skin

Nobody insulted you.......get over it.......and try to have a nice day.

His skin color has absolutely nothing to do with it.
I have said so repeatedly and already said it was a historical and great accomplishment on his part, and it is. However, my concerns about him did not disappear because he was elected. It is up to him to solidify or change my opinion of him. He said as much...for those whose trust I have not earned yet. I am one of those.

This is the original post by 'abc' on 11/15/08

'....and the embryo starts only to live during the 5th month!
Yes, I can, I would have a calmer conscience than knowing that my child is out there somewhere, in the hands of strangers, not knowing HOW they are treating him/her.
I prefer to give it back to God, before it starts to live!
My embryo is MY embryo and it is not COMMON property.
YES, I COULD.

And the outrageous reply of 'sm', now I think it is 'm'!

"the embroy starts only to live during the 5th month"

Quite possibly the single most ignorant post I've seen on this MB.

If you are truly that completely clueless about the workings of the human species, I beg you to get yourself sterilizied RIGHT THIS MINUTE!!!!

And if it's YOUR belly and YOUR body you're defending, please tell me whose tiny feet, and face, and fingers are those that are being sucked out of your 'belly?'

I pray to God you're not a mother. And that you never will be.

People get banned from this board. I noticed that there are people who post every day and all of a sudden they are gone, disappeared.
How worse than the above reply by 'sm' or 'm' ? has a comment to be to get banned????

Are we far enough removed from the election

I wish this was original (I'm not this smart) and I'm sorry if you've all already received it in your email but I thought it was great (you KNOW I'm a republican--you may not know that I love Condoleeza Rice and would have taken to the streets to support her in a bid for the presidency).

It has been suggested that if we really wanted to tick-off the dems, the party should get GWB to step down, now, as president, leaving Chaney as president. Chaney could then could ask for Condoleeza Rice to serve as his vice president (certainly not out of the question, given her position). Then CHeny could step down, thus producing the first Black Female president---and she'd be a republican!!!!

What a stitch!

Turley on Bush's Constitutional Skin

Well, first of all this President's theory of his power I think is now so extreme that it's unprecedented. He believes that he has the inherent authority to violate  federal law. He has said that. Not just the signing statements and the infamous torture memo-that Alberto Gonzales signed. It was stated that he could in some circumstances order federal officials to violate federal law and this is consistent across the board with this President. Frankly, I'm not too sure what he thought he was swearing to when he took the oath of office to uphold the Constitution and our laws. I've never seen a President who is so uncomfortable in his constitutional skin.

Bush proves how far removed he is

Bush Proves How Far Removed He Is

Rep George Miller

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, President Bush proved once again just how far removed he and his Administration are from the life experiences of most Americans. The President issued an executive order on Thursday that makes it possible for federal contractors to pay extremely low wages to workers hired for the Gulf Coast rebuilding. Bush accomplished this by suspending the 1931 Davis-Bacon law, which says that federal contractors must pay their workers a “prevailing wage” on construction projects.

Contrary to the misinformation coming from the right wing – that prevailing wages are actually high “union wages,” as John Fund wrote on The Huffington Post last week – the truth is that the prevailing wage is just the average wage for a specific job function in a local area. In parts of the Gulf Coast, these wages for construction workers can be low – even as low as $7, $8, or $9 an hour.

Deep poverty is a major part of the story of Hurricane Katrina, as is now plain for all of us to see. How are New Orleanians and other people in the region supposed to get back on their feet if they can’t even make $7 an hour? Hundreds of thousands of people have just lost everything they had. America has to put Gulf Coast workers back to work – and at wages that can help them and their families get back on their feet. Davis-Bacon guarantees a wage floor when they get back to work. If the President wants to help storm victims he should rescind his executive order immediately.
They must have removed it. I guess it's not surprising..

The guy acted like a real jerk.

72 yrs old and 2-time cancer survivor.
Before you go off, this is NOT wishful thinking, just simple fact. The only thing scarier than a McCain presidency would be a Palin presidency.
Please report which link so it can be removed. nm

I had a post removed this morning . . .
for whatever reason, I guess someone didn't like the fact that I posted about SP being brought up on investigation again for her crooked dealings!  Then I got an angry response from someone about not posting political viewpoints on this board!!  Why is this post allowed to stay, and mine was taken off?  I guess freedom of speech is only allowed for the one side!!
cancer and national health
It's these sort of false concerns -- LOOK OUT, SIX TO TWELVE MONTH WAITS AND BY THEN YOU'RE DEAD! DEAD!!!! -- that impede progress toward a fair healthcare system. They're repetition of talking points, nothing more. A ten-second internet search would tell you, for instance, that in the UK:

-Over 99% of people with suspected cancer are now seen by a specialist within two
weeks of being urgently referred by their GP.

-Over 99% of patients with cancer are receiving their first treatment within one
month of diagnosis.

-Over 96% of patients with cancer are receiving their first treatment within two
months of being urgently referred by their GP.

Now I'll leave it to you and Google to find the comparable numbers for the US.

The larger point is, though, that if you decide this nation doesn't need universal healthcare, then you need to say exactly who it is you don't want care provided to. Because that's all this ever comes down to: Who do you include, and who do you leave out?
Please View Video Before it is Removed
This video clearly shows that George Bush warned Congress starting in 2001, that
this economic crisis was coming, if something was not done. But Congress refused
to listen, along with the arrogant Congressman, Barney Frank. This video says it
all. The liberal media reportedly did not want this video on You Tube--it was
taken off. This link is of the same video, but is routed through Canada .
Everyone in America needs to see this before it is yanked off the Internet
again!

Bravo to them. Lots of cancer in my family.
Great article.  Thanks for posting it!  I applaud them.  Obviously early detection is key, and it makes sense that many people without insurance are not getting regular screenings done.
When you are removed from an anchor chair by your network...

American Cancer Society focuses its ads on the uninsured

Has anyone seen the ads yet?

Good Article. The American Cancer Society sm
is also advocating national health care as are a lot of medical organizations.  They see the problems with the current system every day and know things cannot continue as they are.
And neither does John McCain. He is cancer free - see link.
http://www.newsweek.com/id/113705

And at least he isn't at risk for lung cancer like Mr. Obama who smokes like a chimney. That is more worrisome to me.

Yes, McCain has made mistakes in what he has said. So has Obama. But at least McCain doesn't associate with radicals and hasn't had communist mentors, and on and on and on.

I'm glad we don't have to worry then because he is cancer free and has been for several years
I thought I posted the link but I guess I must have forgotten to.

I'm more worried about Obama's chain smoking and the potential for lung cancer. My mom had lung cancer and it was horrible. It eventually went to her brain. Horrible horrible way to die.

Anyway...sorry I forgot to post the link before. Here it is.

True. Sure hope he does not get lung cancer while in office.nm

Or how about leaving your wife who is sick and dying of cancer to run for President
There! Don't sling mud unless your prepared to get it back in the face.

Palin has a loving and caring family that is backing her and taking care of things - and I doubt very much she is "leaving" her baby. Sheesh! Your trying to make it sound like she's dropping her child off on a cold street corner with nobody to take care of them. If your going to go there then you might as well say and what father would leave his 2 young children to run for President.
Ovarian cancer. McCain's father died of a heart attach...sm
around 70 I think. FYI, Obama quit.

While he stands up there being the hypocrite he is.
I am the one who called him that. sm
I stand by what I said.  He may not have raped Kathleen Willey or Paula Jones, but he may as well have. I totally believe he did rape Juanita Broaddick.
and you won't be called (nor have I)

They call mostly Democrats and "likely voters."  Rasmussen, Gallup, and Daily Tracking are the most reputable ones, but even so, I ignore them.

Also, keep in mind that being on the no-call list prevents you from being called unless I'm mistaken.

You called it yourself--- not me!

a *house negro* as well as Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice.  He also said he was no Malcom X and was betraying the Islam faith.  I haven't heard Obama's reaction yet, but I think it's kind of funny.  The terminology is outdated and laughable, and who wants to be like Malcolm X?    Was the reference to Malcolm X supposed to be an insult or a compliment?
It's called........... sm
disillusionment and resignation, GP. The more I read about the whole BC thing and now hearing that the SCOTUS has delayed the hearing another 5 days, I guess I am resigned to the idea that nothing is going to stand in the way of Obama....not the Constitution and not the voice of the people. I kind of look at the Constitution as I do the Bible and sin. A sin is a sin to God (excepting one) and breaking one part of the Constitution is breaking the whole thing. Call me gloom and doom if you want, but I have come to the realization that we are not living in a democracy or a republic. We are living in a political machine that operates at its whim without regard for our country's most basic foundations.

On the Clinton-Obama front, like I said. It should be interesting, to say the least, but you can bet your bottom dollar that Hillary is getting something more out of this than just the letters SOS out beside her name. There is more that goes on in Washington than is dreamed of by mere residents (I won't even use the word "citizens") of this once great nation.

Pardon my sardonic pessimism this morning. lol
That's called....(sm)
They'll get it however they can.  Check this out.  We have a double lot (just enough to keep me busy with a garden...lol).  When we bought the place there was a really old shed at the back of the property.  It was built probably about 40-50 years ago.  This thing was literally falling down, dirt floors.....completely in shambles and definitely not inhabitable.  We knew we would have to tear it down when we moved here.  So, we noticed on the assessment that 2K of the state assessment was attributed to that shed.  Yeah right.  We didn't need anything more than a sledge hammer and a crowbar to tear it down.  So, after we took it down we had them come out for a re-assessment.  They took $200 off the assessment value.  Hmmmm.....  Yeah, I raised cane with them but it didn't do any good.  I've been planning on putting a greenhouse out there.  I can't wait to see what happens with that.
No, that is just called being a

Let's scare the public into thinking the stimulus is evil.  What a joke!  That's almost as good as Steele saying the stimulus doesn't create jobs, it creates work.  Talk about grasping at straws....
Unless you would like to be called
the "c" word (4 letters ends with "t"), then I would think twice.

This is highly offensive to some people and you know this. Reading your post is like dealing with my children who are 5 and 6 years old. One instigates the other calling each other names to lure the other into a fight. The difference though is my 5 and 6 year old are more mature than you are and understand the concept of playing nicely and treating each other with respectfully. They understand if they've said something that hurts the others feelings they will say they are sorry. Something you obviously don't understand. And after reading that you adore and hang onto every word Keith Oberfool has to say and you let him tell you how to think and what to say and do, I had to read no further than your first sentence.

Posters on this board have been disrespectful towards others. You think your aiding your cause by calling us teabaggers? Think again. You think your aiding your cause by saying anyone who participated is a racist? Well the laugh is on you because in these crowds of thousands upon thousands upon thousands of people I saw plenty of black people. Go ahead, tell them they are racist.

You know I do hope you keep it up, I do hope Oberfool an the other moe-rons at BSNBC keep having guests on like this piece of garbage Gorofool. You wouldn't see the truth if it slapped you in the face. Go ahead and laugh it up, because I'm right there smiling all the way to the elections next year. So go ahead keep calling us names. The laugh will be on you.
First of all, don't believe I called you

JTBB now did I?  I don't think so.  Secondly, I was being comical when I said I too have sleep deprivation, etc.  Loosen up a bit.  Dang.  I think you need to take a Xanax and chill out a bit.  Sheesh.

Regardless of my joking, which you obviously didn't get, I have no sympathy for people who want us dead.

LOL, and you called me a bigot up above, so

GT, you have called me a bigot....
on this board at least 10 times.  Who's the one who generalizes here?  I can guarantee you that if I'm guilty, I'm certainly not alone.  Oh yes, all Republicans are rich and living behind gates, ignoring the plight of the poor.  Bull pucky.  Talk about a sweeping generalization.  I don't live behind a gate, I don't live in a fancy house, we make a decent income but are certainly not rich, and guess what?  We're not even religious.   You want equality for everybody?  Well, that isn't something that is given to you, it's something you work for.  My husband spent 7-1/2 yrs in college and got a master's degree, and worked his way through the whole thing at a gas station paying for it himself.  We work long hours.  There are people who refuse to value education, refuse to work hard, and just want a hand out.  That's a fact.  There have always been the poor and there always will be.  We've poured TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS of dollars into programs for the poor over the last 40 years and the poverty rate is basically the same.  To succeed takes effort.
It's called the TRUTH!!!

I think it's called the First Amendment.

The poster isn't *getting away* with anything.  He/she is exerting his/her constitutional right to form and voice an opinion.  Just so happens what the poster said is true about Bush having the Saudis being escorted out of the U.S., and if I remember correctly, some of those escorted were relatives of Bin Laden.

Like I said, the poster isn't *gettin away* with anything because the poster hasn't done anything wrong.   The person who has *gotten away* with a lot of illegal, immoral, unethical acts is Bush.
