Oh, sure. The left always claims election are stolen,

Dems have stolen/manufactured votes for Franken in this election...wonderful stuff

That is pitiful. Just pitiful. But that is the attitude they have....
sad.
Stolen, just like in 2000
I guess it is alright if the Republicans steal an election, but not the Dems???
Right, so that is not a "cut",but free money stolen
nm
2 elections stolen? baloney. Meaningless war? Go
nm
pitiful, isn't it?

I liken it to white guilt, which is totally ridiculous.  Dontcha know he's a rock star?  Even Clinton Dems should see how Bill & Hill have been forced to "make nice."

It's just pitiful
You hear all about how this stimulus money is going to AIG and ridiculous projects while, as usual, the little guy is getting hosed. During the campaign, Obama claimed this was going to turn around, but, big surprise, it's just politics as usual.

What I'd like to hear from Washington is that they're imposing a freeze on all property taxes. They're killing us.

(By the way, I don't live in Philly, but watching Nutter propose his new taxes just burned me up.)

You people are pitiful
to think these things is one thing but to actually post them on a board really shows the depths of your hatred.
I only have $7K left. It was pitiful
to begin with, only $18K but still and all, I'm really not happy now. I had planned to retire in another 2 years. Now I'll be working until I keel over or age 90, which ever comes first..
I call it pitiful when someone gets on here s/m
touting that over 1 million people took part in this protest, when it wasn't even near that number!!!  I simply wanted to know where this poster got those particular statistics??
Not in the slightest. Your posts are pitiful.
!
This post is laughable and pitiful
First of all, the FAKE war *was* lost before bush started it - and our standing in the world is likely permanently damaged because of it. So Reid is right when he says it's LOST. PUTTING COUNTRY FIRST means not staring fake wars that HURT our economy and kill innocent citizens and good soldiers. G-d forbid the war lovers get a clue or any education about what is really going on with U.S. foreign policy.

And Reid is saying is that McBush(cain) needed to 'BACK' the bailout - so that it would pass. Without his support, a bailout won't pass. Nothing 'wingnut' about this comment.

But OBAMA is right on this one: McCain needed to show he could/can multitask -its a joke to suggest he had to suspend his campaign in this crisis - simply do both by letting his VP candidate cover the campaign anytime he PHYSICALLY needed to be in DC to vote, etc.

BOTH PARTIES are politicizing this crisis BUT THEY ARE NOT TELLING you the truth - our economy is in trouble for a LOT of reasons - and they don't want you to know all of the reasons because then you'd understand how things *really* work in the good old US.

I am aware of the pitiful attempts
smear Obama over his ACORN "ties." Suing over rerdlining merely "bullied" the banks into treating minority and white loan applicants equally and was hardly responsible for the predatory lending practices ALREADY IN PLACE at the time. The operative word here with regard to O's "association" with ACORN is WAS. Personally, I cannot fault a guy for involving himself in voter registration drives. So what if they endorsed him? He's the better candidate and certainly represents their interests in minority social issues better than McCain. Voter fraud investigation is ongoing. Perhaps we should wait for the results of the investigation before drawing any conclusions, especially since you seem to be trying to insinuate that O somehow is trying to throw the race...a charge that will never gain any political capital coming from the party who in the past 8 years has written the book on voter fraud. Its a little hard to understand exactly how the current accusations rise to the level of voter fraud BEFORE the votes have even been cast. The only thing dirty here is the pathetic attempts on the part of the McCain campaign to spread hatred and division in their cowardly attempts to avoid talking about the economy elephant in the room.
Maybe she just doesn't have anything to discuss with you....pitiful
nm
she isnt the OP, I am
and how do you know that it is a lie?  Besides that article did not say that he IS just like Hitler.  The man was comparing some of Os ideas to that of some of Hitlers programs that he started up upon gaining power.  And there is NO lie in that.  It is just like the bailout, these are socialists principles, the gov buying stock in banks and owning some of our major corporations, is this a lie too?
Nice dodging of question -how pitiful.nm

Still dodging the subject at hand I see....pitiful..(nm)

You Repubs and your angry rants are PITIFUL.

You Lost.  You are no longer in power.  America repudiated your hate, greed, racism and just generally STUPIDITY.  Get over it!!  Take your ball and GO HOME!

Someone is looking ridiculous and it isnt me
Face to face?  What is this a threat, LOL?  Sweetie, I would tell you face to face any day what my ideology is, what my priorities are and whatever else you deem is necessary to discuss with me.  You wouldnt **let** me call you sweetie face to face?  I think you truly need to step back and take a deep breath..You are looking ridiculous.
Isnt that just nauseating? SM

These people who support McCAin and his whacko side show Palin just make me so ill.  Its like they just crawled out of their backwoods society to make an appearance because for once in their life they have something brought to the table that you dont even need smarts to talk about... Racism.  It doesn't take a genius to be a racist....  These people are so shallow and closed minded.  Racism to me is nauseating.  It is something I just cannot even stomach....  In the same way I cannot stomach Hitler.

And the whole issue of patriotism....  America is all about multiculture.  Americans come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and ethnicity...  YOu want to talk patriotism....  Then maybe you should support your "Native Americans."  If you want patriotism, then look no further than the purebreed americans.....  I mean if you are going to take it back to its roots.  Otherwise, get used to the fact that we are not all the same and get off your high horse, you stupid old white folk!!!!

And if I have to hear one more time about how Obama is going to be "Taxing us" I could just scream.  He wont be taxing me.  I for sure do not make over 250K a year.  And for people who are concerned about "businesses" being taxed and not able to hire people.....  When was the last time you encountered a company that cared about their employees anyway...  They have been taking advantage of their employees for years.... Cutting benefits, not keeping up with pay increases, outsources rather than hire you anyway.

Well enought ranting for me....  All I can say is God Bless Obama!!!!!  And if he doesn't win, we are all in for some deep doo-doo.

It isnt that simple. What you do is the same as

too bad HE isnt president!
Why can't we see that this stimulus is going to bring us down?
Isnt the fall just great?
Isnt this time of the year great?  My favorite holiday is Halloween.  Cant wait!  It has been in the 40's overnight this past week, so nice.  Now if we just could have some rain.

karma is a b___h, isnt it, Bush?
My parents were wise people and totally non predjudiced, non bigoted..They screwed up in many ways, but they did not pass judgment on the color of someones skin or how rich or poor someone was..and they taught me what goes around comes around..you put good into the world, you will get good back, you put bad, it will come back to you..I honesty have to say, at times it has been hard believing that cause it takes so darn long, IMO, for retribution to take place, for right to come around, however, in my life I have always seen the **bad ones** get theirs, over time it happens..karma works..I am now seeing karma once again.  Bush for five and one half years has torn our country down, has divided it's people, has pushed away the world and in turn we have lost respect throughout the world, has waged a war on innocent people..he is getting his now, his karma has come..I sit back and watch it all and am thankful to the powers that be..
Oh geez..isnt that called *Heaven* ?
Oh geez, me  neither, Libby, me neither..but probably not in my life time.

They banned it, voted against it.  The state of CA spoke but the gays are not happy with that and have to march.  They will push and push till they get their way. Whether it is against God or not.  what a shame.
Good question.-and it ISNT fair. Notice how Obama

Not about the election.
As I have stated before, I am pro-life, but am just appalled at the things that extremists do--on both sides of this issue.  I went to my OB/GYN the other day for a prenatal exam and my 2-year-old son found a business card with pictures of bloody pieces of fetuses on it that said that anyone who has an abortion will go to...well, you get the picture.  While I am not entirely sure that this is not true, I am disgusted that someone would leave such a thing lying around where small children can find it.  Luckily, my son just turned two and really did not realize what it was he was seeing, but just think if an older child had found such a thing.  Sometimes I think that people get in their own ways when trying to make their points.  I am sure that I am guilty of this, as are many others on this board.  I actually just wanted to vent a little.  Hope everyone is having a good afternoon!
No way did JFK's dad buy the election
I live in the same town as the Kennedys and they are notorious for not paying for things.
Election Day
A large group of my neighbors will be walking down the street together at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning to cast our votes for Barack Obama. It will probably end up being like a little block party in celebration of Obama.

No matter who wins this election, it will be a thrilling race and a shocking result!

LOL! Maybe next election!

If you mean McCain and Palin and "best man and best woman", I don't think so. Not unless you are super rich or, if middle class, you would care to get stomped on again, like we have been for the last eight years?!
Another example....if the election had gone the other way....
would you just have dropped all your concerns about McCain and started supporting him on this board? Of course you wouldn't. Don't act like you would. Geez. LOL.

When they come up for re-election

we will be provided the usual substandard party-approved (both parties) candidates to choose from - if it is an actual contested election.  How often does a rogue candidate even get past the primaries in this country?  And how effective could this hypothetical nonpartisan candidate be if elected, when the other kids in the House and Senate won't let him play?

Most candidates don't stand much chance against any incumbent.  Seems that we vote based on 'name recognition' and don't much care in what context we recognize the name.  Has to be the explanation for how some of these guys (and gals) stay in office term after term despite the fact that we despise them.  Nobody can unseat them without party approval.  And if you spend enough advertising bucks in the several weeks before election we'd vote for Genghis Khan.

Same theory as they use in product advertising.  Say the name and slogan enough times on TV and when we get to the stores we'll recognize it on the shelf and figure it must be okay.  See?  All the hard decision-making has been done for us!

Obama was anointed by the democrats; McCain was anointed by the republicans, and I did not see a whole lot of difference between them.  Both promised to take us in the same direction at slightly different speeds.  So I voted for the lesser of two evils (lot of good it did me).  And when you do that, it's easy to forget you still voted for evil.

Sad to say, we seem to get the candidates and products we deserve.  We vote for whoever the party runs, buy the products that spend most on advertising, and that's pretty much that.

I am at a complete loss as to how to change any of this because it all seems to be one big interconnected system.  Throwing the bums out is a great idea, but replace them with what?  More party clones?  I don't think a true populist candidate stands much chance against the two party machines we have.

the election is
Unless you own an oil well, I would not get too worked up about it.
So will the next election when we

Were you like on Mars during the election? SM

Here's a clue, no one really listens to hatred.  You need to cozy it up a bit, put a little whipped cream on it, disguise it a little.  All the personal attacks and name-calling, while typical of you libbies, isn't very palatable.  KnowwhatImeanVern?

2000 election
Yes, Bush did win only one election.  The first election was handed to him by the Supreme Court Five.  If it had been handled properly and fairly, Gore would have won as he had the popular vote.
Election my foot.
You still believe the last 2 elections were legit?  Oh of course you do.  You still can't get it through your thick head that Saddam had nothing to do with 911.  Go back to your board.  You people cannot stay off ours - why is that?  Scared?
Kerry would win if election was now

Poll: Kerry Would Top Bush Today

NEW YORK, Nov. 5, 2005

President Bush delivers his speech after being sworn into office for a second term, as Sen. John Kerry looks on, at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, Jan. 22, 2005. (AP)

(CBS) If last year’s presidential election were being held today, the results might well be different than the results of a year ago. 41% of registered voters say that if the 2004 election were being held today, they would cast their ballot for Democratic candidate John Kerry, while 36% say they would vote for President George W. Bush. 13% say they would vote for someone else, and 6% wouldn’t vote at all.

In this poll, 12% of registered voters said they didn’t vote in 2004. Among those who did vote, 45% said they voted for Kerry last year, and 46% said they voted for President Bush. 2% reported voting for Nader, and 7% won’t say for whom they voted.

If the election were held this year, both candidates would retain more than eight in ten of the voters who supported them last year, according to this poll. But President Bush would lose about 3% of those who said they voted for him last year to his Democratic opponent. And although none of those who supported Kerry last year would now vote for Bush, 13% say they would support another candidate. But among voters who either didn’t vote in 2004 or voted for another candidate, or refused to say for whom they voted, Kerry leads Bush by 34% to 11%.

This poll was conducted among a nationwide random sample of 936 adults, including 828 registered voters, interviewed by telephone October 30-November 1, 2005. The error due to sampling for results based on the entire sample and the sample of registered voters could be plus or minus three percentage points.
