Maybe CNN and MSLSD aren't qualified to...(sm)

In Reply to: These tea parties represent the people of the country - IMHO

be teabaggers.  They probably are lacking in experience...like Michael Steele.  Is that why he isn't allowed to speak at the teabagger party?  Has he not teabagged enough to become a proficient head teabagger?

what does MSLSD stand for?...nm
nm
You must watch MSLSD and get your news from those
credible sources Keith (I'm jealous of Bill O'Reilly's fame, fortune and ratings) Olbermann and Chris (I get a tingle down my legs when Obama speaks) Matthews.
All you do is spew MSLSD propaganda,Tokyo Rose.
I don't think you're capable of independent thought.

I'm starting to believe you're nothing more than a spam-pumping computer program in Keither Olbermann's laptop.

It cracks me up when you say things like "we have known for years..." I can only imagine that when you say it out loud, you sound EXACTLY like Sergeant Schultz.
So Christians aren't supposed to political? Or we aren't supposed to let our morality, faith

our conscience guide us politically?

I'm sorry, that is a separation I cannot make.  My faith and religious convictions are part of the whole person that I am.  I vote my conscience.  I want political leaders who reflect my morality.  I also happen to believe there are many Christians out there like me.  There is no "separation" of church and state for me, which by the way was a concept (nowhere specifically mentioned in the constitution) meant to protect the church from the government more so than the government from the church.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that commercial.  There are condom commercials, "personal" lubricant commercials, and penis and sexual performance enhancing commercials -- why would anyone be offended by a pro-life commercial?  The fact that anyone would be offended is a testament to just how twisted society has become!

How is she more qualified? nm
nm
There are too many other qualified people
No on Hillary. She should be allowed no where near the white house. There are way so many other people out there that are qualified. She is not. And if your husband is impeached he too should not be allowed anywhere near the white house. All Barack needs is to be constantly looking over his shoulder trying to figure out what those two are up to.
Obama not qualified??

SInce you state he is NOT qualified....AND YOU ARE??

Oh, and Obama is more qualified? Please
nm
PALIN is more qualified? Of course she is, but
nm
Biden is even less qualified.......sm
the only thing he can say without screwing it up is "HI! I'm Joe Biden!!!"

I know - how silly that we should know whether he is qualified.
x
She is more than qualified, so what is the problem?
At least Nancy Pelosi spends her time constructively rather than just spewing hatred and anger like some people.
Qualified to lead the country? How?
nm
Personally don't think she is qualified but, more importantly.....
as a mother, my biggest concern would be for her children. Most former presidents children were closer to adulthood and didn't really have much of a life because of their father's political position.

I can't even imagine what life would be like for these young children. Learning at such a young age to be paranoid about everything and everyone around you because your parent may be a target for some sinister plot, which then makes the children a target.

Next issue, motherhood. Again, she has young children. Who is going to be their mother while she is consumed with political dealings? They need their mother.

If she has aspirations for a larger role in the United States government, fine but she should finish the job she started first and raise her children.

And... I personally think that the rumors about the baby are terrible. The girl is 16. So what if it was HER baby and not her mother's.

If it IS true, her parents were probably only trying to protect their daughter.
yeah, and Biden had said O was not qualified to be
nm
yeah, and Obama isn't qualified to be in the top
nm
Palin is just as qualified as Obama anyway.
nm
Palis is more qualified than OBAMA even is!
nm
okay, she was wrong....he has no "experience" although qualified.

I suppose you think Obama IS qualified?
nm
If they weren't qualified - how did they get the loans?
Get real. When I bought my house it took MONTHS to prove my income, the down payment had to sit in my banking account for months, the bank found an old unpaid hospital bill (I was unaware of) that was 10 years old that I had to prove I had insurance at the time and either the hospital screwed up or the insurance company never paid - I almost did not get the loan because of this! So, how do all of these unqualified people, irresponsible people, get home loans when they are so woefully unqualified? Because the lenders didn't give a rats whether or not the person could pay it back. They were boxing these loans together and selling them as securities. Did YOU ever buy a house? Did YOU have to jump through hoops? I sure did and I still have the house. So smoke that!
Being a POW doesn't make you qualified to run a country
Especially when you don't know the economy, have no ideas (or even care to) help the Americans through the hard times, and especially when you plan to stay at war for the next 100 years. I could go on and on but it would be too long.
39% of people polled feel SP is as qualified as O
nm
Actually, I do have "at least" minimal intelligence, and I think she's just as qualified as
It's not like she was plucked out of the PTA without doing anything else. I can't see that Obama has done anything more than she has besides vote present and campaign.
Does this sound like McCain is qualified to be president?
Well, we've heard the interview now. And John McCain either doesn't know who the Prime Minister of Spain is, thinks Spain is a country in Latin America, or possibly both.

In case, you haven't seen our updates from last night, yesterday John McCain was interviewed on the Florida affiliate of Spanish radio network Union Radio. And in the interview McCain appeared not to know who the Prime Minister of Spain was and assumed he was some anti-American leftist leader from South America.

After the interviewer presses him a couple times on the point and tries to focus him on the fact that Prime Minister Zapatero isn't from Mexico and isn't a drug lord either McCain comes back at her saying, "All I can tell you is that I have a clear record of working with leaders in the Hemisphere that are friends with us and standing up to those who are not. And that's judged on the basis of the importance of our relationship with Latin America and the entire region."

Then there's a moment of awkward pause before she says. "But what about Europe? I'm talking about the President of Spain."

McCain: "What about me, what?

Interviewer: "Are you willing to meet with him if you're elected president?"

McCain: "I am wiling to meet with any leader who is dedicated to the same principles and philosophy that we are for humans rights, democracy and freedom. And I will stand up to those who do not."

At this point, the interviewer gets tongue-tied presumably because she can't get over McCain not knowing what Spain is.
This is true - least qualified of all candidates to be the President
Sorry but sitting in on the senate and voting "present" more times than not, and being a community organizer does not make one qualified to be President. I think its like I heard the other day. When it comes time to vote and we have a war going on, an economy that's crumbling, jobs going overseas, no matter what people say now they are not going to go with someone who is new and inexperienced. They will go with someone who has been in politics, is a war hero, stands up for his fellow americans, and is obviously not for either side. Plus having Gov. Palin is the biggest plus for the ticket. A new face to Washington, hard on the big boys, won't back down, has the intelligence and know how to get our economy back on track, fights for the rights of citizens, and has the experience of balancing a budget, the smarts to know we need to drill here (and not just smooth talk like the dems are giving us). She and Sen. McCain will help bring this country to be energy independent and not let big CEOs walk away with millions while people like us have to pay. I for one among many are very excited to see what good things President McCain and Vice President Palin will be doing for our country.

If your still upset when McCain & Palin win, don't worry though, if you submit your names that you voted for the democrats I'm sure they will let you all pay more in taxes than the rest of us. After all you seem to think Biden was okay in trying to convince you that its your patriotic duty to pay more in taxes when the CEOs and other execs will walk away with money in their pockets (to include Obama, Clinton & Dodd).
I found it pathetic. Tina Fey is more qualified (sm)
than Palin. Can you imagine if McCain wins and then croaks. The chilling thought of her under-educated butt seated in the President's Chair scares the heck out of me! And if it happens, I'm either crossing the Atlantic or the Pacific to find a new homestead.
We do not need a woman in the white house we need a qualified person
Okay, I know I'm going to get some feathers ruffled from my statement but I do not believe the US needs a woman president. I read this post and to me it sounds like your saying just get a women in there and everything will be fixed and will be all better". This is not some mommy kissing a "boo-boo" and making it better (that's what the post sounded like). We are a country and we have some serious problems. A strong "woman" is not going to straighten this mess out. A strong PERSON is going to. Sure there are lots of qualified women to run the country (Hillary is NOT one of them), but I do not believe by hiring a woman the country is going to be fixed and on the right road. We need a strong person. If they happened to be woman or man, black, white, blue or green it doesn't matter. Just get someone strong and whose got a back bone. Who will stand up for the American people and not their own interests. I really dislike and get offended when people say a "woman" will fix all the problems or "we need a women to get us out of the mess that men got us in". Men didn't get us into the problems we're in "human beings" did - and there are a lot of women sitting in seats they are not qualified to be sitting in and are part of the problem as to why America is in such a mess. Using the statement that a woman will fix everything is quite childish and very demoralizing, patronizing, and insulting to me as a woman. I do believe there are a few women out there who could probaby do an okay job, but I just want a strong person in there who has some back bone and a conscious and will do the right thing and follow the constitution. Hillary definitely did not and would not. She and Bill were so trying to change history and they ignored everything written in the constitution. Give me someone that truly cares about America. Unfortunately I haven't seen a candidate like that since Kennedy. Okay, that's my gripe for the night.
Hatred is only shown by repubs on this board. PALIN IS NOT QUALIFIED and it has nothing to do with

Incoming junior senator from Illinois Burris more qualified/more experience than Obama...
just the facts, ma'am.
I dont hate Obama. I just dont see him as qualified
nm
Probably because there aren't

nearly as many of them.  And I noticed the tally keeper yesterday was only tallying those posts she wanted to count.  Sound like politics?

As for rabid, thanks for the enlightenment but the definition I prefer is 1 a: extremely violent : furious b: going to extreme lengths in expressing or pursuing a feeling, interest, or opinion <rabid editorials> <a rabid supporter>

CERTAINLY NOT:

2: affected with rabies

Well, though, I would hope none of the "rabid" Republicans (or Democrats) are "affected with rabies" but hey, maybe that's something to ponder.  After all, rabies does affect the brain. LOL

aren't

YOU special . . .

They aren't done yet. This is just day 1 of

cutting the pork. Let's wait and see what they will do by Friday.

My calculator doesn't go that high for adding up the pork they want to cut, but I think it's more than 2%.

I will take a wait-and-see attitude with my finger on the "favorites" key to renounce them if they don't cut all the pork out.

no, they aren't.
I hate this discussion. Do you actually know any gay people? I doubt it or you would not think that way. Most people, regardless of their sexual orientation, are just trying to go about their business and live their own lives. There are always people making a big issue of something or another, whether gay or straight, and the gay population does not do so anymore than any other group. As is always the case, only those making an issue get the attention thus painting a whole population. If everyone would just keep their nose out of everyone else's business we would all be better off. Truly, another person's lifestyle is no one else's business unless it infringes on the rights of others.
Since we obviously aren't going to be able to have..(sm)

any meaningful conversation today, how about this?  Keep in mind he was one of the main ones going after Clinton for having an affair.  Hmmmm....

Top Republican resigns leadership post over affair

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Republican US Senator John Ensign has resigned his Senate leadership post one day after admitting to an extra-marital affair, the chamber's top Republican said in a statement Wednesday.

"He's accepted responsibility for his actions and apologized to his family and constituents. He offered, and I accepted, his resignation as chairman of the Policy Committee," said Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The post is the fourth-ranking leadership position among Senate Republicans.

Ensign, a rising star of the Republican Party regarded as a possible contender in the 2012 presidential election, admitted to the affair at a news conference Tuesday in his home state of Nevada.

Ensign, 51, a staunch conservative with a record of strong family-values stances, vowed to remain in office after describing the affair as "absolutely the worst thing I've ever done in my life."

Nope we aren't

you can believe that but it just ain't so...

You aren't serious, surely. SM
This is the man who told the biggest lie of all time, i.e., the lie that launched the Vietnam War.  HIs presidency was filled with graft and collusion.  You can't be serious!
We aren't going to be THAT lucky.
Ignorance is, for whatever reason, simply not knowing something.

Like not knowing how the Downing Street memos have made your leader out to be a liar.

Like not knowing the history of our relationship to Iraq so you can make a coherent judgment about what is going on there now, and why.

Like not knowing that Bush tax cuts and budget deficits are strangling and endangering the country even worse than Reagan had a chance to do.

You know, stuff like that. Now there is plain and simple ignorance, where people just aren't exposed to the facts and so just don't know about them. Then there is also totally willful ignorance where people have every opportunity to see and understand the facts but simply refuse to do so. That's real ignorance of the kind you were probably referring to.
Going under fast, aren't they.
Starting to sound a mite peeved:) Look, person - we KNOW some people support this screw-up of a profiteering war. Like you. What don't you get about that? WE KNOW.

Now, tell us YOU KNOW that just as many - to judge by the 300,000 versus the 300, ONE HUNDRED times as many DO NOT support this mess any longer.

Why do you seem to feel that people who agree with you are somehow PROOF that yours is the only way to think? What are you going to do about the REST of those who do not believe what you do? What are you going to do when soldiers are speaking 100,000 to 1 against the war? You better think about it, because it's shaping up that way.
But you're asking for it, aren't you?

How many other boards do you go on and play devil's advocate?  Do you go on the Christianity board and give the atheist's point of view?  Do you go in the smoker's sections and preach quitting?  Do you go to bars and brag that you're a teetotaler?  How popular do you expect to be when you go to where people are happily doing their thing and start messing with them?  You're mainly here to make trouble, IMHO.  So when some of it comes back on you, stop whining!

Aren't you the one who WANTS states

I don't mean for that to sound rude, just an honest question.  I seem to remember you saying you wanted more power to go to individual states, so do you agree with the states having control in this case?  I appreciate the information and will check it out.  I already know my state's income eligibility requirements and will post them below if anyone is curious.  I found them at mt.gov.

Well, since she didn't and you aren't....
what is the point of this post other than looking down your nose and making moral judgments?
Your aren't running for VP and won't be
McCain camp made such as issue about Obama's lack of foreign travel, boasting about how many times he had been overseas to visit the troops, and claiming that made him a more viable foreign policy candidate. He openly challenged Obama to make his trip overseas, gleefully hoping that Obama would end up looking like a rookie. Obama responded in kind, met with world leaders, garnered open support from Iraq's president and turned out 250,000 Berliners for his speech. Not too shabby for a rookie. So, if there was so much flap over Obama's not having been overseas and how that made him inexperienced, what does it say about his VP pick, who applied for a passport last year? McCain can't have it both ways. This issue is being raised to point out McCain double standards.
You aren't too bright, are you?
