Nice deflection to Palin....I am just frankly...

In Reply to: Because Obama is not as friendly with Bush - as McSame is, and of course, they are probably

amazed that you think a debate is more important than the crisis we are in, and still fully support and back a man whose answer to it is "they will call me if they need me." If this is how he is going to govern, no thanks. He is, after all, a sitting senator who WE are paying, and this crisis should be his FIRST priority as an elected senator, let alone as a person running for the Presidency. Frankly, I don't care a DARN what he is going to SAY in a debate. I would like, for once, to see him actually DO something. DO something!!!!!

Quite frankly.......
I'd have to say it will benefit the dems. Let's give the pubs 4 more years - that's 12 years in the white house and then, let's see the outcome. Let them clean up the mess they created.
Quite frankly........sm
It just may well be that God wants Obama in the white house for the next four years.

The only way to rise out of the ashes, is to really fall low, and quite frankly, we will all see change such as we've never witnessed in our lifetimes, should Obama and the superliberal house and senate come to pass.

You all should be scared to death, and yet you are not.

You want change.

But you won't like the change you are about to see.

So be it.

If God wants Obama in the white house, let it be.

Then a real republican can rise from the ashes and help save our sorry butts the way Reagan did three decades ago.
Quite frankly....sm
Sarah Palin is too conservative for the Republican party as it stands now. Plain and simple. The Republican party needs to turn back to the right, if it wants to survive, not go to the middle, like George Bush tried to do, and John McCain. If you travel in the middle of the road, you're gonna get run over.

If she is to be a serious contender in 2012 and beyond, she does need to gain more experience in the national arena, much the way BWT says below.

She has the right stuff, she just needs to expand upon. She is one smart and classy lady, and if she wants to, she very well may be what the Republican party needs, to get back to its roots.

I'm looking at Bobby Jindal, and also my favorite, Mitt Romney, to be leaders also, and bring us to the forefront once again.

And I'm not a Republican. I'm an independent....I'm just too conservative for the Republican party as it is now....

I frankly don't see what your problem with this is....
the people of the state of Colorado are already paying to keep those inmates with food, a roof, medical care, etc., etc. Why shouldn't those inmates give back? I don't think they should even get 60 cents an hour. They would be working to help pay for their own upkeep. Slaves?? Come ON!!!! And working right along with them should be welfare recipients who are physically able to work. They need to earn that money that is being given to them, in some form or fashion. As to farms being corporations...the vast majority of farmers in Colorado and in every other state are not corporations, but many times second, third, fourth, and on generation farmers who have to bear the brunt of production (equipment, seed, etc.) on their own dime. They need every break we can give them, and I don't see ANY reason why inmates and welfare recipients who are able-bodied cannot do that; and I don't see why anyone should have a problem with it. Why DO you have a problem with it?
Frankly...I don't care what you believe.
I will sleep soundly tonight listening to the waves crash against the shore whether you believe me or not. I am going to walk down to the pier now and ride the Ferris wheel and enjoy the marine layer before the Santa Ana winds pick up again. End of discussion.
And what is my party and who is my guy? Frankly,
I think Alan Keyes or Chuck Baldwin would be the far greater choices of president than any of the 2 that have been purposely foisted upon us, but in the end, I will vote for what is best for my country, a concept you obviously do not share.

Come back 6 months from now, commie, and tell me how you are faring.
Frankly, I would be more comfortable with YOU...
talking to them than Obama. :-)
I have not posted here for awhile because, frankly,..
I was at a loss for words.  If I were one of those televangelist types I would say God did sent this hurricane/flood  to expose this administration and many I-got-mine, who-gives-a-hoot-about-you Americans  to the rest of the world for what our country has become...a place where racism, poverty, greed and environmental desecration have been allowed to thrive unhindered.  There is money and manpower for the things this administration really believes in; power, personal accumulation of money, war and environmental apathy but none for its poorest, oldest, youngest and  sickest...finally, finally, having been exposed naked to the world, perhaps we will wake up as a nation and clean house from the top on down. With God's help, and a little selflessness from everyone (not just the same people over and over and over) I believe we can overcome this tragedy and go on to be better for it; we are always better when we do the right thing. If our administration can't or won't do it, perhaps we can shame them in the eyes of the world by doing it ourselves. I am rambling here...I am just so completely stunned by the last week's events. I will stop here. Mitakuye Oyasin. Aho.
I've been working all day - and frankly...
I have had my head and mind in the computer all day working so have not heard what was said.

I did hear the biggest gaffe in a long time directly by the O. He said "our dollar is strong". What???? Has he been drinking his own kool-aid. DH just had come out for lunch and he was telling me the dollar was dropping quite rapidly. So made lunch, we sat down and on the news heard the enlightened one claim the dollar is strong today. Eegads!!!

So out of touch, but know he won't be missing another party at the wh tonight.

Frankly - I am sick, sick, sick of it all. Sick of hearing our politicians get up and bold face lie right to the camera. They're not even trying to hide it anymore. I'm sick of them working for themselves, and not doing anything to show they have an interest in getting our economy back on track or that they even care about the people anymore. I'm tired of hearing politicians have got all this money "scrolled away" at various banks throughout the world (and we're are not talking about a modest amount). I'm tired of hearing money is missing from here or there and they just decide they refuse to disclose where the money went. I'm tired of hearing them falsly pretend they are disgusted with the AIG and other bail outs then we find out their wives or other relatives work for the same companies and they are doing under-the-table deals while they have their castles on the shores of Ireland and other countries. I'm sick of hearing that they live in million dollar mansions that they are not paying anything to live and (free). I'm sick of hearing about the crooks we have in Washington and tired of hearing all these TV/Radio shows talk and complain about it but do nothing about it. I'm tired of having to pay so much in taxes that I can hardly live anymore yet if you are in politics/WA you don't have to pay taxes. And I'm tired of hearing people excuse them and say that's okay, just as long as one party or the other is not in office. In which case they don't care.

By all means, I'm not directing this at any one person in specific so please nobody take any offense. I'm just so sick of everything going on in the news and what is happening with the country I'm just blowing off steam here. By now I thought I would have some at least some job growth. Even if it was just one company in all of America that is hiring. Is that too much to ask. Just one company in all of America to show some growth, and maybe then it would spur on others.

I'm just sick of it all and thinking of taking a seriously long break from listening to the news anymore. If I'm not watching the country go down the tubes on the TV, then I listen to Hannity whine about it but offer no solutions, and at the same time I turn to Olberman and the MSNBC crowd and they praise what is going on. So rather than "blow a gasket" (in my head) I think I will tune out all news and come here and see who said what and then go check it out. Otherwise, I feel like one of the characters in Orwell's 1984 movie.
Frankly gt you are pretty disturbing all by your lonesome. I'd like to think
there's only one of you.
Frankly, don't we all cringe when the other party speaks?

But that's because we anticipate the content is not going to be what we want to hear.

Bush's speeches made me cringe for other reasons - like I was embarrassed we had such an obvious moron as a leader, and the rest of the world could appreciate our sterling judgement.  We might as well posted a billboard that says - we elected the stupidest guy we could get so the powers behind the throne will have an easy time of it.  Nothing fake about HIM - he was sincerely, honestly stupid, and proud of it.

No thanks. Frankly, the thought of you touching me gives me the heebie jeebies. nm

Frankly, I thought it was an insult to the Monkey, and Curious George, also, he was intelligent!...n
nm
Sarah Palin fans are as whack as Palin.
Even John McCain's top adviser referred to Sarah Palin as a whack job.
Vote McCain and Palin! -oh and why does Palin
nm
Palin over Biden any day. Make fun of Palin all you
nm
Sarah Palin makes Sarah Palin look stupid!
The Democrats did not make Sarah Palin look stupid. Sarah Palin does a fine job of looking stupid without help from anyone. All she has to do is open her mouth!
Not nice.
Of course conservatives are wrong.  And often.  I am one, so I should know.  What I am NOT is a neocon.  That word gets used a lot here and it is used incorrectly.   I am not the original poster but I wanted to point that out.
Really nice, isn't it?
Not all of them are gone, but a lot were removed.  Smells a lot better on the Liberal Board today, though it probably won't last.
It's really nice to have you here.
As you can see, you may also be called names on this board, as well.  The monitor has asked that they stop, but they continue to do it.  If they begin to attack you here, I hope you will just consider the source, laugh it off and continue to post here because they aren't important and certainly don't represent the majority of normal Americans.
Exactly....have a nice day. :) nm
nm
nice

When a woman gets attacked by a man with knife, do you condemn her because she didn't fight back hard enough?I say condemn the attacker, not the attackee....you attack folks and then condemn them because there feelings where hurt instead of addressing the real problem which is your bullying.

Nice try, but no....
I started posting here about 3 years ago, and there was no observer but me. If there was one before that, I had no way of knowing that. Taiga did not "steal" Teddy's moniker. They were always the same person, just posting under two different monikers. I have posted under two...Independent for awhile, and then Observer. Observer was not in use when I changed to that moniker, and if there was one before my time...as I stated...I have no way of knowing that. Again...did not accuse Taiga of stealing the Teddy moniker. She posted under both.
Nice. (sm)
Fortunately your opinion on this subject means nothing to me. Those who want to pray will. Those who don't, won't. It is a free country, and while no one can force you to pray, no one can force us not too either. Much as you would like to have that control. What a myopic view of life you have. Party line vote Dem or die and dam* anyone who doesn't agree with you. Sounds decidedly UNdemocratIC to me.
nice try

This comes from the same pinheads who were absolutely certain that Rush would go outta business when Clinton got elected.  Yeah, right!  20 million listeners at least, and HOW many hundreds of millions later?

And y'all actually think Keith Overbite & Mr. Potato Head actually discuss news seriously when 1 has crabs or something crawling up his leg?  And give up the opiates re Rush.  He fixed that problem, but didn't do the resume enhancement like the celebutards do.  Start that empty crap & I'll just keep listing their names.

And just to clarify things, in case anyone didn't catch the post about the NAGS, that's Rush's pet name for the National Assn of GalS.  I knew I wasn't the only Dittohead on the embarrassment of a board.

Face it. Y'all have nothing to offer here, just empty insults and thrills over women "choosing" to kill babies.  That's the only definition y'all have of "choice."  Funny, but I thought choice was supposed to mean that the woman decided either way. Nice try once again.

nice try....but NOT

I take you comparing me to Sam as a compliment though as I do value a lot of the same opinions.

However, once again, instead of actually coming on with facts and trying to prove an actual point, I find someone who just spats out anything.  I was not the one who started this post.  I was just stating my opinion and sharing some experiences I've had raising horses and what has happened in the past when deer hunting was not allowed.  Those are things that I have seen first hand.

That would be nice!

Doubt that will happen, but my husband and I could pay off the house we just built, have money for the kids college education, etc.

oh come on... he seems like a nice
and he wants change.... give him a break... LOL.....

I'M WITH YOU!!! PEOPLE ARE SO INTO HEARING WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR THAT THEY ARE BLIND!!!!!!
nice
from yet another who cannot back up what exactly obama stands for besides "change"... hmmm

there was nothing psychotic about her post.
It would be nice
there was help for those who help themselves.... not just help themselves to handouts.
That might be nice, but don't look to

Nice Try

Our economy is in a bad way, so what does "O" do?  Raise taxes!  What on earth are y'all thinking!  So taking $ from you to give to someone else makes sense?

This is comparable to the women who went totally nuts over the Beatles!

Check your taxes for 2007, 2008, then 2009.  The facts will speak for themselves.

Just more white guilt, too, which is also pitiful.

that sure was nice!
x
Nice try

Yeah, that so-called nutjob recently signed another long-term contract (7 years, I believe) for how many millions?

I never miss his show.

Have you ever actually listened to his show?  You'd like his official Obama Criticizer, Bo Snerdley.  You can find clips on google.

When I got married, we used his theme song to announce the wedding party at the reception

You just said she was nice. Why don't you
accept her as she is then if she is a nice person.  Maybe she wants to raise her baby is a safe place.  I live in Arizona and the only illegal immigrants I have a problem with are the drug dealers who bring their dope across the border.
its nice to see him in an

informal setting.  Every pol goes for a photo op once in a while, just to remind you they are around.  I enjoy seeing him smile and interact with people.  He makes me smile.  God Bless America, how fortunate we are to have him at this time in history.

nice try
I dont think so.  I am an American.  As a matter of fact I was a soldier and I helped defend this country.  So dont even try to tell me that I am not American and I should leave just because I don't like or agree with the present administration.  Do I hope that Obama will be all that people need?  Sure.  Do I think he will do it?  No.  That has nothing to do with my American pride or heritage.  This country was founded on many things that are not in effect today and I dont have to blindly support things that are blatantly wrong with our government.  Most politicians are liars and crooks and our government is not a representation of our country.  Our country is hard working American people who have built this land up based on dreams, faith, hard work, and pride.  Our government is supposed to answer to us, not us to them.  You have the wrong idea and should not categorize people based on whether they like Obama or not.  That is why we VOTE and have the FREEDOM to choose who we want in OUR office.
Thank you. Nice to know I'm not alone
I liked Sarah Palin a lot and was the main reason I was leaning more towards their camp. I actually kept going back and forth. I liked Obama, then I liked Sarah, then I liked Obama, then I liked Sarah. I could not make up my mind. But I liked Gov. Palin a lot. Washington needed a new face. Someone not on the inner circles and corrupted by Washington politicians/lobbyists. She said things as she saw them. She was the only one out of all of them who had the qualifications. She was a governor and knows how to balance a budget. If she believed in something she stuck to it. She didn't give in and say one thing then run over to a different group and say another thing. Like some people did. You want to talk about experience? Obama had less experience than she did. As for her saying things and making mistakes. Nobody has a right to say anything about that because your all okay with Biden saying the most @ssnine things. You didn't like that she carried her baby around, but you were okay with Biden carrying around his grandson everywhere (talk about an obvious prop). He'd look around for the camera then grab his grandson and make sure the camera saw him carrying him. I liked the way Sarah spoke. She spoke the truth and to the point. Sorry it's not fancy/sleezy enough for the Washington crowd. She/McCain had ideas for how to get the people back working again. Now look what we've got. Someone who just keeps telling us its going to get worse, passed a bill that creates no jobs for the country and nothing to stimulate the economy, and is punishing the people who are hard working and trying to survive. Just more money for them to line the pockets of the politicians. But then again it doesn't matter what we thought because the people have no control over who is elected. Obama had been selected a long time before the election even began.

I liked Sarah Palin and I don't care what anyone says. She was a real human being. You can slam me all you want. Sure there were other candidates I would have supported, especially every time Biden spoke. He's puts his foot in his mouth every time he speaks and it's becoming more and more evident this guy is either going senile or truly does not know what he is doing. No wonder why the WH keeps him behind locked doors.

But it's all a double standard. People say she didn't have experience, don't vote for her, we have to have someone with experience. Then when it's brought up about Obama's lack of experience (i.e. no experience) we hear. You gotta give the guy a chance. They trashed her personal life, but when anyone spoke about Obama's personal life they were told don't talk about his personal life it has nothing to do with his being president. When people said, you can't bring Palin in, she's not Washington, she's an outsider, but when they were told well Obama is new and he hasn't been in Washington very long himself (i.e. no experience) and has been in Illinois most of his life we were told we need a fresh face in Washington. When we brought up Palin's balancing the budget we were met with Obama got a bunch of people registered to vote. You just can't win. None of what I wrote pertains to anyone on this board, it's what was in the news. And I was watching MSNBC during the election because I was voting democrat, but was interested in Palin. And the best of them all was when people were asked "So you're voting for Obama because of his policies? and they answered yeah, then when asked "So if Obama is elected President you wouldn't mind Sarah Palin as the VP?" And they all said "No, I think she'd make a fine VP". HA HA HA. What's that Master card commercial where at the end it says "Priceless".
Nice try, but once again
no cigar.
It would be nice if EVERYBODY would

follow the rules of this board, but some apparently think they are above the rules.

The two posters you pointed out are not the only ones who call other posters names, especially in the last week or so that I've noticed, but the instead of falling into the argumentative mode, you need to ignore their posts.

It is nice to know that our

economy is in ruins, we have spies interfering with our electronic grid, our president bows to the Saudi King, every country still hates us even with Obama's major butt kissing and you are concerned about Levi and Bristol?  Who cares.  How many teenagers really stay together even when there is a baby involved?  This isn't a matter of national security.  It is a teenage girl who screwed her boyfriend and got knocked up and then they broke up.  Like that never happens anywhere else in the world.

I personally couldn't care less if Levi and Bristol broke up.  Who cares?  If you like teenage drama, you might want to watch the N channel and get your fill with Degrassi or something and keep this nonsense off the political board.

nice..
very Christian of you saying her husband is as messed up as she is. showing your true colors.
It would have been nice if instead of
just throwing our country under the bus and calling us arrogant and apologizing if he would have also listed the good things that we have done for other countries.  Instead he just says that we are arrogant and apologizes and blames Bush.  Our country has done a lot of good things for others too.  Why does Obama constantly focus on the bad things.  Does he think that constantly bringing up bad things will make people like us more?  He is really naive and stupid if he thinks that.  If Obama really wanted to move forward, he needs to stop the blame game and MOVE ON!  This is his administration now....not Bush's.  Yes, Obama inherited a mess but I don't see him doing much cleaning up of this mess.  I see what he is doing as making things worse.....not better and that isn't Bush's fault.
Aw, that's so nice! =)
See? People with differing opinions CAN get along on this board - just have some respect for each other like these two posters.

You are both an example for the rest to follow.
Nice try....almost...(sm)

Sending pics as proof?  That's hilarious....I'm absolutely sure they would be of you...ROFL.

Sorry, but your little ploy to make it look like that was an acceptable joke to the black community is just simply not working.

Maybe you should do some research next time.

he looks like a really nice guy, too...
I am reminded of an old friend's mom years ago saying "I just don't know what's to become of us all".
Now that wasn't nice. SM
What am I SAYING! I am on the liberal board!!! I'll leave you along. After all, this board is just hopping with interesting things to talk about.
Hi, there, Democrat!!! Nice to see you again!

With respect to the 10% tax, I still think $9,000,000 of disposable income goes a lot farther than $9,000, and 10% of $10,000,000 is just a drop in the bucket, compared to 10% of $10,000.

Anyway, my understanding of the "Fair Tax" is that it isn't based on income.  It's based on "consumption." It's (my paraphrasing) a federal sales tax instead of a federal income tax.  And spending up to the poverty level is tax-free, with their "fair tax rebate."

So if someone can afford to buy that 2006 Ferrari, they can also afford to pay the tax.  If someone can only afford a $500 1989 Mitsubishi, they will probably not have to pay any tax if it is considered under the poverty level.

This only addresses federal government tax issues, though.  It doesn't even begin to touch state, county and local taxation.

And from what I've read, I haven't heard what percentage of tax they are proposing.

So I'm still not sure which I'm leaning towards.  I'm actually sort of swaying between the 10% and the "fair tax."

Nice to see you here, thanks for the invitation, and I agree.  We should debate here.

Pro-war..what a nice little spin
GT I could almost believe you were Cindy Sheehan yourself.  Heck, if I were George Soros, Howard Dean, or Michael Moore I'd snatch up as a publicist, a spokesperson in a heart beat.  You've sure got the rhetoric down pat.  I'm sure you will take this as a compliment but it's not meant that way.
What a nice group!!!!

Below is from the Protestwarrior website or else "RNC Watch":

Although the Protest Warriors usually make a big deal about how they have been the victims of leftist "violence," several of their recent bulletin board posts advocate carrying concealed weapons to demonstrations at the RNC. "I would bring pepper spray," writes one. "I will be utilizing my concealed weapons permit," writes another. "We should be prepared for violence," writes a third. These posts are similar to the infamous CraigsList NYC posting of more than a year ago in which a New Yoker wrote that "We need good old fashioned Conservatives, the kind that believe in God, Country, and Family (the Mom and Dad kind), the kind that played football, baseball, and basketball, to help with security [at the RNC]. This is totally separate from the organized Convention. We will meet the groups determined to disrupt the open discussion of ideas (the Convention) with a group of our own and battle them in the streets of New York."

You can also see picture of the founders of Protest Warriors lovingly cradling high-powered fire-arms on the PW website. "ProtestWarrior HQ is now heavily armed," the site operators write.

(Picture Caption: The Founder of Protest Warriors) Recently, a small media stir was created by a tiny, right-wing fringe group known as the Protest Warriors.

We recently drove out to San Angelo, TX to meet up with our good friend Chris, a Marine who offered to take us out shooting and teach us the finer points of peace through superior firepower.

Chris has some GREAT bumper stickers on his car.

http://www.protestwarrior.com/images/misc/guns/guns_01.jpg
"Phased plasma pulse-laser in the forty watt range... "
"Just what you see, pal."

http://www.protestwarrior.com/images/misc/guns/guns_03.jpg
Chris brought a wide selection. Everything from 22s to 357 hand cannons.

"Leftist troll 12 o' clock."

Can you tell I'm a big John Woo fan?

When I hold you in my arms
And I feel my finger on your trigger
I know nobody can do me no harm
Because happiness is a warm gun...

You feeling lucky, punk?

http://www.protestwarrior.com/images/misc/guns/guns_10.jpg
Is there anything sweeter than the sound of shotgun shells ejecting?

http://www.protestwarrior.com/images/misc/guns/guns_05.jpg
Chris is one guy you do not want to f--k with.

http://www.protestwarrior.com/images/misc/guns/guns_09.jpg

Chris was kind enough to loan us some weapons to take back with us, so thanks to him ProtestWarrior HQ is now heavily armed. So to all the leftists that want to completely disarm the populace, all we have to say is come get some.
