whole dinner. I didn't know it was on.  When I finished working that night, I turned the TV on and was channel surfing, just by accident saw Colbert up there, cracking jokes in a tux, so then I gathered it was that dinner party.  Don't know how much I missed of Colbert's rant, but watched in amazement as I did not once see Bush laugh or even smile. But believe me, it tickled me to see him squirm for a change! You know, truth hurts, and he has a lot to answer for.  However, I noticed Bush and Laura couldn't WAIT to get out of there!  But what really told the tale was you could see that the people wanting to laugh out loud, but put their hands over their faces and snickering. If that isn't telling, I don't know what is.  To me, the audience looked like children who were watching the joker in class getting in trouble for interrupting the class for saying something funny.  What else got me was the next day pundits were saying how funny Colbert is normally, and that he was not funny that night.  He WAS FUNNY, they just didn't like what he had to say.  Too bad  With all that Bush has done, and how stupid he really is, I s'pose anyone could get up there and sound funny because he's SO STUPID.  Doesn't take much with all the fodder he's handed out!  Wish they would rerun that dinner show though, darn.

C-Span had a rerun of the senate yesterday on AIG

According to Schumer and Klobuchar, they are sending a letter to AIG Liddy (sp) to tell them to renegotiate the bonuses or give the bonus money back, or else they will draft a LAW and take immediate steps to impose a tax as high as 91% on these bonuses.

I don't know how they can do that, although I would like to see it happen. But if they can break the contracts for AIG, then they can break any contract at will. That's a bit scary.
