From their own site: "The document is a "certification of birth," also known as a short-form birth certificate. The long form is drawn up by the hospital and includes additional information such as birth weight and parents' hometowns. The short form is printed by the state and draws from a database with fewer details. The Hawaii Department of Health's birth record request form does not give the option to request a photocopy of your long-form birth certificate, but their short form has enough information to be acceptable to the State Department. We tried to ask the Hawaii DOH why they only offer the short form, among other questions, but they have not given a response."

Obama's original birth certificate is a part of his medical records to which he has every right to have a certified copy of. This "certification of birth" is like the momento certification of birth that I brought home with me from the hospital when my kids were born. When I uad to register them for school, I had to have a certified copy of their certificate of birth. The copy that I had held all those years that I THOUGHT was their birth certificate was, in fact, not. In order to get a certified copy, I had to go to the County Clerk's office. The document I obtained contained much more information than Obama's certification of birth shows, like weight, length, mother and father's occupations, etc. I still don't buy this as being his actual vault copy of his birth certificate and FactCheck has just lost its credibility with me as a reliable source of information.

I'm not so convinced.
The law is the law. Innocent until proven guilty by jury of peers. We don't always get it right, but it is still the best system.

If one such as yourself is so disgusted with politics in America then you should try to effect change. Dissecting the process doesn't help. Voting ad nauseum the republican ticket doesn't send a very clear message. None of them are trying to effect change whatsoever except for Ron Paul, and who is to say that he wouldn't be a great president? You've got to play the game to win, we the voters and the American people have got to change the way politics are played.

Don't be a victim, it sounds like you feel victimized by the politics.

Kam is disgusted and she is doing something about it. If enough people get disgusted and do something about it, change will happen.

I agree, but I'm not so sure he is convinced though. nm

Yep. If I was not absolutely convinced of what...
Obama wants for this country I might not be so adamant. But I am. So we wil agree to disagree.

As a Christian, also, socialism aside....Obama's stance on abortion does not come anywhere near jiving with mine either, which only reinforces my decision. Many of his stances are diametrically opposed to what I believe as a Christian.

I cannot be a party to putting him in the white house. So we will agree to disagree. :)
Not, that I'm convinced that Bush is doing more domestically..sm
than Clinton did, but for the sake of argument.
I'm completely convinced he is not a Christian
I'm sorry, but you can tell a tree by the fruit it bears...

Sad day when a beauty pageant gal is braver than the president!
