The fact that he used the word in this context does not by any stretch of the imagination imply that he himself considers the methods to be torture. He was, indeed, using the now-popular short form of "harsh interrogation methods".

To be completely intellectual honest, in order to understand this statement you have to look at Boehner's clear position throughout his public statements on this subject. As is ABUNDANTLY clear to anyone who isn't simply trying to make hay out of an unfortunate choice of words, Boehner does not, and never has, considered these methods to be torture.

Now, you can continue with this little semantic game if you wish, but no one who knows anything about Boehner at all will ever believe you.
