Many Republicans on this board, including one in particular who shall remain nameless, continually accuse Barack Obama and the democrats of being socialist and possibly communist for supporting social programs to help our fellow Americans in need. Oldtimer is responding to those ridiculous accusations by posing the question about Jesus and socialism.

First of all, Jewish people should not be condenmed for taking their religious holidays off. Unlike a lot of us, their religion means the world to them. I would never vote for a person (on McCain's ticket) that cannot even string together an intelligent sentence, i.e. Palin. What a disaster. You do know, don't you, that even conservatives are calling for her to step down, because of her lack of intelligence. Why a liberal and a conservative board?
I don't get this. Why is there a board for liberals and a board for conservatives? It's not like no one comes to the liberal board who isn't, and what fun would that be, anyway? And is everyone comfortable with the labels? I consider myself a liberal on many issues, but there are some issues on which I would agree with conservatives. For instance, I want less government (which Bush supposedly wants, ha!). I think people ought to be able to bears arms and it's a real good thing for Iraq that Saddam Hussein didn't keep them from having them, so now they can try to repel the foreign invaders. Just a couple of issues for which no label really works....

They have messed up America with their backward way of thinking and they still dont get it. The comments she made that Jews need to be perfected is a mind set right out of Hitlers Germany. It's the adulation of his worshippers that worries and bewilders me. It's reminiscent of Beatlemania except that his followers are for the most part adults. I'm all for happiness, joy and hope, but this is something else.

Didnt at first but seeing how no logical debating goes on, just relentless attacks, what is the use.
