Okay, first of all....who says I'm a

conservative?  Second of all, I can pay for my mortgage.  I make my payments every month and even pay extra.  However, because I have my mortgage to pay for and I don't know what the future economy holds, I'm not spending the extra stuff I might have otherwise.  If my mortgage was paid, I wouldn't have to worry about that.  I could go ahead and buy the things I have been wanting but I'm too afraid to spend $$$$$ on right now.

You say it isn't fair to pay for people who were irresponsible....well....we already are.  Why do you think we are in this mess in the first place.....because way too many bad loans were given out. 

I just do not feel comfortable giving money to big businesses and hoping that they will make the right decision by creating jobs, etc.  We spent all that money on a bailout and were told we had to act now or we might face dooms day and they voted it in and we gave all of that money to banks and for what......for them to go on vaca and take big ars bonuses home while they continue to run the bank in the ground.

At least if they paid off peoples' mortgages, whether they deserve it or not, people wouldn't be losing their houses and be out on the street.
