Some people have been giving me personal attacks and I am quite sure they are jealous because my points are well researched and also that my candidate won. I won't be posting here anymore because although there are nice people, there are too many infantile and ignorant republicans and one ignorant democrat who hurts Obama's cause. The repubs are hurting their own cause and are simply obsessed with right wing crap. We are putting that behind us. Oh yeah and HAPPY HOLIDAYS. Does that offend you? SEE YA NEXT ELECTION.

No matter how you try to cover for your friends or backpedal. No matter how you worded it, that was a personal attack and I am noticing republicans or Palin and McCain supporters are getting very angry and speaking in hateful ways. I do believe it's because it's evident that Obama is winning. I do hope you will all be good American citizens and back our new president when this election is carried out and shows our new President Obama!

Problems that dems have:
8 years of failed economic and foreign policy, a president who ignored the warnings for 9/11 as well as warnings of an economic meltdown, thousands of unnecessary deaths because of a cowboy mentality, war crimes instituted by the highest offices in the US, civil liberties taken away, right of privacy taken away, a barrage of last minute policies that negatively impact the environment, social well-being, and who knows what else. And this is just the tip of the iceburg. We are still paying for all of these actions, not only financially as well as with our country's reputation, but most importantly with lives.
Problems that pubs have:
Obama is the President-Elect and you guys are worried because of rumors about what he MIGHT do.

I am so amazed that the people who seem to be the hardest on Palin are women. She has been a success in her state. She has more experience at running something than Obama does and yet you lemmings think he is GOD. Give me a friggin break. I think women are out to get Palin just simply because they are jealous and/or ugly and can't stand the fact that a down to Earth, good looking, smart woman like Palin could have made it this far. The truth is that Sarah Palin doesn't even know what the job of Vice resident entails. She's an embarrassment to every intelligent, qualified woman out there who WOULD be ready to step in and take over if need be, and there are plenty of them. Kay Bailey Hutchinson comes to mind right now, along with Elizabeth Dole, just to name two.

Yes, it is a historic event for a black man to become president, as is readily recognized and rightfully so. However, the OP used *even a black man* in what can only be described as a derogatory manner. -- ready to believe in anything -- even a black man -- followed by more derogatory comments. To read a statement like this that was obviously meant to be demeaning and pick out one aspect and try to paint that as an innocent description is ridiculous. Do you really think she meant to add a compliment in the midst of that statement? I think not. In fact, even the phrase *with a nice smile and pretty words* was meant as a sarcastic representation. I'm not making a mountain out of a mole hill here. This was obviously a racist statement. If Obama were white do you think the post would have included the statement *even a white man?* Of course it wouldn't. Why do you think that is? People and organizations often try to condense life into a black and white little box. It's way too gray for that.
One thing I discovered as I got older ... just because people or organizations come on strong doesn't mean they know what they are talking about or have good ideas.
I was always shy and figured the people who were forceful were such because the knew their $#it. Sooo not true. :)
I admit that I am not black.
I guess you could say I have not walked in a black person's shoes. However, don't for one second think that I have never felt racism. I've seen the glares and dirty looks aimed in my direction by black people. I've given smiles to strangers who instead of smiling back would glare hatefully at me. I've said, "I have a nice day," to people who have either given me a dirty look or turned their back to me.
I was at a hospital visiting my dying father when I left with my son to get something to eat. My son is very young and has a developmental delay. A black mother and her daughter walked onto the elevator with us. My son, not knowing any better, looked at the little girl and commented that she was brown. Without even thinking I said, "Yes she is. Isn't she beautiful!" The mother gave me the dirtiest look.
