Practice your lockstep and iron your brown shirt...

In Reply to: Yeah. We'll be falling right into the leadership shortly - by popular mandate. Democracy in action. nm

BTW, he won't be but a 1-term president.

I have a whole set of cast iron including the dutch oven
As for electric for the fridge, we have a generator we can use if necessary but it gets cold enough here that we can store our food outside. Ah, the good old days.
Pretty much practice
But I have to admit, even with all that practice I'll never be a master like you are.  I'll always be just an amateur compared to you.
Too bad you can't practice what you preach...nm

Substance of course being in lockstep
with you. Do you not see that as many talking points, right-wing quotes and such are seen on the conservative side as you purport are on the left. You guys talk a lot of right-wing recycled trash as you say we do left. Siiiiiiiigh.
Saw this on a T-shirt the other day
.....01/20/08 - The end of an Error!             LMAO
Yup, been there, done that, got the shirt
And, like the heathen I am, I interpret it my own spin. Do you think I should be worried about the thunderstorms going on now? But you go ahead and keep reading your christian bible and make your own interpretations and I'll make mine. Thank goodness you've got folks like the Bakers and the Haggards to show you the religious light.
Oh come on....that wet t-shirt comment was bad....
she is a sitting governor. She does have executive experience. The economy in Alaska is booming and she has an 85% approval rating. Neither Obama nor Biden have that kind of approval rating. You give her absolutely no credit, and that is not real open-minded of you, now is it?

Put this in perspective. Obama has been running for President, in the spotlight, for 18 months. She has been doing it what, a month now, if that? Obama just this month sat down with a reporter who is not in the tank for him (O'Reilly). He would not talk to Fox before that. You KNOW that the mainstream press does not ask him the hard questions, about Ayers, socialism, etc. He has only sat down with "friendlies." He has steadfastedly refused to join McCain at town hall meetings where the questions can't be screened. He is running for the #1 spot and he is just as shielded as the #2 on the other ticket.

Come on....let's be fair about this.
What is creepy is people following in lockstep behind Obama...
and not questioning anything about him. HIs associations, his Marxist leanings...none of that seems to matter to any of you. And THAT to ME is creepy.

I have posted several good things about McCain. I am 100% on board with a candidate who says he will appoint Democrats and Independents to his cabinet and try to get Washington working together again and remembering that they work for US, the people, not to promote their careers and line their pockets. You bet I am 100% on board for that. That is all that will fix that stagnation in washington. McCain has tried to do that his entire career. Palin tried to do it in Alaska. I am 100% on board for cutting pork spending, so is he. I am 100% on board for looking at all the entitlement programs and killing the ones that are not working. I am on board for keeping corporate America healthy because they provide 80% of the jobs in this country. I don't have anything against anyone who has worked their way up, had a good idea and it grew into millions (Bill Gates, Windows for instance). I don't think Bill Gates owes me a dime of what he worked so hard to build. But he is also a major philantropist and supports many worthy causes. The government does not need to extract money from him and redistribute it to people who do not pay taxes in the first place, which encourages them to stay where they are in the lowest economic class. If he really cared about those people he would be figuring out ways to elevate them from that class instead of putting his foot on their neck to keep them there. All socialism ends up doing is killing free enterprise and eventually the government controls everything, the middle class disappears forever, and all the money is at the top..in the government, who doles it out to the people like they are children. Cuba has not done so well under socialism. Venezuela has not done so well under socialism. But you are ready to put a man into office who wants that same thing for THIS country. To me, THAT is creepy.

Again with the Bush doctrine. You really need to read up on that. Even Democrat pundits are honest enough to say that was an unfair question.

As to his glasses...if you watched him interview other people...he does not do that. And he does not pull the chairs so close knees touch. That is all orchestrated. And we did not see the whole interview. I would like to see what is on the cutting room floor.

One thing I have to say...when they walked out by the lake, and he was more like Charlie Gibson, a person, talking to Sarah Palin, a person...actually smiling at her...yep, tho he would never admit it...I think Charlie was impressed by her too. lol.

I don't hate Barack Obama. That is ridiculous. You have to know someone to hate them. I think he is probably a nice person; he certainly has a beautiful family. That does not make him ready to be President. I just don't agree with what he wants to do to this country. I think his ideas are wrong for this country. He leans for far left...that yes, it's creepy.

We should all vote according to what we believe is right for the country. Another thing John McCain said that I truly appreciate...Country First. He and palin are the only ones doing so, in my estimation.
Rubs already hold copyright on lockstep.
Did you find your magic 8 ball under the bed this morning?
It appears to me that the governors are just walking in lockstep to politics......
It's all about politics - screw the people! Pretty sad when a political party wants to see our country fail......
5th grader suspended over Obama shirt

Well, DUH!!!!! The boy may not have known better, but I bet his dad did.

AURORA, Colo. -- A Colorado fifth-grader said he has been suspended from school for wearing a homemade T-shirt that said "Obama is a terrorist's best friend."

Daxx Dalton and his father, Dann Dalton, said his First Amendment rights were violated.

School officials in Aurora -- a Denver suburb -- said they respect students' free speech rights but also watch for things that might interrupt the learning environment. They said they can't discuss the specifics of the case.

The boy said he was given a choice of changing his shirt, turning it inside-out or being suspended, and he chose suspension.

His father told a Denver television station he's considering a lawsuit.

Hey! Brown Trout!
While you swim in your own personal toilet bowel of life, I wish you the ability to look up before it is too late and you swirl down into the great abyss where you will join others, just like you, who could never look up, either.
I'd do better than that! I think I'd send the brown

What did you think of PM Brown's speech
Don't get me wrong. I love England a lot (many of my family came from that country, have visited it and the people of England are wonderful people), but I caught PM Brown's speech the other day and I though it was... well "lame" for lack of a better term. He was kissing the behinds of the people to get funding from America his nose was covered in feces. I see he has also been studying President Obama's speeches and it was so blatantly obvious. President Obama is probably one of the greatest in giving speeches. No doubt about that, but this was clearly an imitation of Obama's past speeches. (We are not blue states and we are not red states, we are the United States). Here Mr. Brown says "There is no old Europe, there is no new Europe, there is only your friend Europe". The way he presented his speech all I could think of was that Obama's speech writers wrote it for him. All I thought of was how lame.

Just curious what your opinions are. Mine is that America does not have the funds to be sending money over to England. Unemployment is rising, home loss is on the rise and they are trying to have us send money to them??? Maybe I'm wrong about this but I just think it's very arrogant, as was his speech to congress.

I also heard that I guess it didn't go as well as England had planned because now The Queen is having a private meeting with Mr. Obama.

Just wondered what others opinions are.
Plus PM Brown is going blind. nm

I saw the video of the interview with Bounds and Campbell Brown...
are you saying there is a clip of McCain throwing a fit?
You just don't get it. There are black, white, brown and purple Christians...sm
Muslims, Jews, etc. Some want McCain to win and some want Obama to win, hopefully not based on color, ethnicity or religion but on what they envision is best for our country.
Brown's Economic Plan in England Mirrors Obama's

As you read the piece (see link below) in the London Times, substitute "Obama" for Brown, and "Geithner" for "Darling".  Then multiply the billions in pounds by 1.5 to change them to US dollars.  You'll think you're reading about the US plan - and the same catastrophic results, among which the worst are:

1.  A burden on future generations of unparalleled and unprincipled proportions.

2.  An outflow of investment capital to other countries that do not penalize the engines of the economy.

What struck me about Brown's plan was his "soak the rich" approach, which exactly mirrors Obama's - i.e., hitting the "upper 2%" of the "wealthy".  It is more than passing strange to me that this is the precise percentage that Obama proposes - and is equally doubtful.  Given Brown's recent meetings with Obama, no one will ever convince me that he didn't get some tutoring from our superclown...er, I mean, superpresident.

Another thing that's striking is how Brown's proposals are structured so that the real pain will be imposed after the elections in GB next year.  In Obama's case, most of the real pain has also been scheduled for the "out years" - meaning that the public won't begin to feel them until beyond 2011.

And finally, there is the criticism that Brown's program is based on a lot of rosy "recovery" predictions which are very doubtful.  Exactly the same criticism has been leveled at Obama's program, and in our case the criticism has come not from the opposition party but from within the government itself, i.e. the Office of Management and Budget - which is considered to be a very credible source of information on this sort of thing
