Here are my thoughts. Its a fact that Obama is a socialist and if elected (we haven't had an election yet so don't tell me with positive certainty Obama is going to win - YOU DON'T KNOW!) But if he were to get in our country would be slowly and gradually rearranged (sound familiar if you listened to the Nazi Obama Youths song) so that our country would be turned into a socialist/communist country. Of course never calling it that to avoid arousing suspicion. So, because America is suppose to be a free country that should not happen. The only way to assure that is to bring in John McCain as President. Seeing as it's okay for a lot of Obama supporters (not all but a lot) to just place Obama in there, I think the government should just place McCain in the position. Reason being is we are not about to have a President that embraces socialism. McCains and Palin have always shown us by their voting record and what they have been able to do during their time in government that they are for the people. They fight against both parties (democratic and republican) for the good of the people. McCain is a loyal Patriot. Obama is not showing any signs of being a Patriot. No matter what lies you want to continue to spread about Palin, the fact is she's smart (and yes she can complete sentances) as proven in the VP debate (she really kicked Biden back a notch or two - good for her). I would even mention Couric's interview as that was definitely a set up and anyone with half a brain could see that. She knows how to get things done in government. She works for the people to help the people. She has experience (Obama has no experience).
So, in an effort to keep America free. To help America's economy get back to normal. In order that we don't find ourself paying close to 50% or more of our hard earned income in taxes (while being told at the same time we should feel patriotic about that). I believe McCain/Palin should just be placed in the position. After all some of the posters were okay if Obama was placed in. One poster even wrote that it's our duty and we should be forced to given our money to all the socialist programs Obama is promoting.
Also, the election has not been held. To be so arrogant to think that your candidate is winning "by a wide margin" (sounds like something you would hear on MSNBC), the truth is YOU DON'T KNOW. Election has ot been held yet - and forget the polls. For as many polls that say one candidate is head there are equal as many saying the other candidate is ahead (not matter which candidate you support).
I say just put McCain/Palin in the position so that America will remain a free nation and will start growing again and business can start thriving and the economy can get back on track. Otherwise we will find ourselves like the citizens of Cuba and Russia.

who are you to determine who is a straight thinking person? I think what he was getting as is simple. It is a FACT, like it or not, that African-Americans make up a huge portion of our jail population, much more than their 13% representation in the population would expect. Saying that a black person has a lower IQ because they are black is racist. Stating a fact like 70% of black children are born to an unwed mother, while sad and startling, is simply a fact and not a racist comment.
Since you take this stuff so seriously

Mother of Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears is out promoting new book. In a Newsweek article, she points out the hypocrisy of her daughter being criticized for being a pregnant teenager and she being called a bad mom, but Bristol Palin is commended for valuing life and her mom is made out to be a good mom.
Not a fan of the Spears, but I thought she had a valid point.

I didn't want to offend anyone because I believe we all have rights as human beings to believe whatever we want to believe - I have a mormon sister (who grew up with me in a methodist church) and she keeps pouring on me how her religion is right and anyone who is not mormon will not be on the "higher level" after we depart and then it will be too late. HA HA HA But then again I have an aunt who feels that because we are not in the charismatic movement we are heathens. HA HA HA. Sometimes you just have to sit back and laugh at it.

I think he has his stuff altogether, and if I were you
would not worry 1 second about his getting the big head. There have been others before him (say Kennedy that I remember well before he took office and while in office) and the same thing you are seeing, the adoring audiences, etc. were very apparent then also. Obama has a lot of sense going for him- nah, would not lose any sleep on such a trivial issue. The country is so glad to be rid of Bush that people are tremendously overjoyed about this new fresh face. I think he will be a tremendous president.

these people are not strangers to violence and humiliation (including the civilian population). They also saw what their own countries have done to prisoners (again including their own civilian population), which, as has been pointed out numerous times on this board, is just as bad, and probably worse. I think that has to play a role in it. We're talking about a different culture with different views of punishment and "rules of war."

I heard that and thought letting them steal our money from us and feel good about it? (well I actually don't make that much, but for the people who have earned it with blood sweat and tears, and lots of hard work, since when is it right to do that to them). Since when did patriotism fall into the same category as robbery. BTW...this $250K thing? Just a short while ago it was $200K (guess they were losing too many votes so they upped the figure), but what's going to happen when they say, oh we're not getting enough money, we're going to have to steal from the people who make $150K, then $100K, etc, etc. Anyone see a pattern here? Oh and on top of that we're supposed to feel patriotic about that. Sure I'll sing the national anthem everytime I get my paycheck to find they stolen from me. Is that what we are reduced to in this country? Doesn't a leader of the modern world need to have an education and an understanding of what it takes to guide the US in the right direction in this most difficult time. I am a hockey mom too, have a masters degree in political science and a law degree from Rutgers University. I have been very involved over the years in setting the record straight for both parties. I feel like I have contributed to cracking that ceiling for women but I am ashamed that the republican party is using Sarah Palin for their own disgusting purposes. She is neither qualified to be VP or president, and neither am I.

Have you watched the video of his exchange with the mother of the Vet still MIA in the congressional hearing? Not exactly a kindly man. What about the Palin investigation that the results of that investigation won't be released until after the election?
Could it be that if the majority of the people intend to vote for Obama (or against McCain) that the majority agree that McCain does not need to be in the White House?
I personally find McCain just as scary, if not more so, than Obama.

Bush has done a LOT of work on this during his administration (which isn't over yet) when he could have been doing things like securing our borders. This is one of the reasons people are frightened of him and don't trust him.
I'm glad this is coming to the surface now so that Obama doesn't get blamed for all this later -- if there IS a "later."
