She did not say, nor did she imply,

that God would do the right thing by putting McCain in the White House.  She was speaking about her lack of anxiety about the outcome because it was in God's hands.  I truly believe that she meant that no matter who wins, God is in control and that helps her mindset.  I feel the same way.  I think Obama is basically a good man and I don't presume to tell God what to do.  If that is who he wants in, then so be it.  "Thy will be done" is the prayer.

As for my age - I'm old, GP, I'm old.  Well at least I feel old.  I'm 41.  Mostly I'm tired of so much of my money being siphoned off to freeloaders who don't drag their butts out of bed before 2 p.m.  I'm up at 6 every morning - 6:30 on a lazy day - earning money for my family.  I work hard for it and I should be able to keep it.  End of story.

And you say rabid like it's a bad thing.    Just kidding.  Have a nice night, I'm off to bed.

You know I didn't say that or imply it anywhere.
You are the ones saying that she is making poor parenting choices, simply because her baby was present and GASP other people held him. Had she left the baby at home, you'd be blasting her for that. It's as though you all make perfect parenting choices at every turn. Must be wonderful to have such wisdom and insight that the rest lack. To clarify, I think being a mother is the single most important job there is, but I do not criticize others if they think differently. And I do not in any way think that a mother who chooses to work outside the home is any less of a mother than one who stays home with her children, no matter what career the woman working outside the home has chosen. Every person is different, every person has a different support system and different level of energy. In short, it's not my place to judge someone else's mothering abilities. What gives you the right or authority to do so?

If this board represents sounding like a woman, then thank you for saying I sound like a man. For other women and mothers to criticize and make fun of a woman and mother who has worked her way to a top position in this country is appalling. This does nothing but work to send us hurtling straight back to the Cleaver generation. Perhaps there are those women who won't be happy unless that happens.

FTR, I was responding to ALL the flames on this board against Palin. Since you didn't understand, I'll be clear ... If you want to criticize her skills or ability to be VP, go for it. She has accepted the nomination and opened herself up to that. To criticize her parenting skills and her family, however, is unjustified. Even Barack said so himself, yet all of his supporters here keep right on doing so.

I'm not preaching, I'm calling it as I see it. If you don't agree, you're entitled to that because we are blessed to live in a free country, but if it makes just one woman think twice before posting ridiculous comments like the one about the baby being
passed around like a football
(because that's what we do with babies because we love them all), then it's not entirely in vain.
You imply that anything on Fox News is...
untrue. That is a blanket statement which actually IS untrue. If you really actively investigate the issues you know that the only place to get ANY of the conservative view is Fox News...the others are so biased to the left and dedicated to electing Obama you get nothing there. It happens every election cycle. They are biased, plain and simple. At least on Fox you get both sides.

I do find it offensive when people use blanket statements. Maybe the women you personally know fit your description, but certainly all women who watch Fox News are "uneducated."

What does demographically uneducated even mean? That people from a certain area of the country are uneducated simply by virtue of where they live?
I did NOT imply that his camp started it....
in fact, I said the dailykos started it, and unless his camp blogs there and I don't know it, that is exactly what I meant. What I said is that when he asks his supporters not to continue and they persist, it reflects negatively on his candidacy in some people's minds...and that is all I said. I also said that I believe him and that he was sincere...and that his supporters are ignoring him. However, I have heard others suggest that he is saying that publically but behind the scenes his camp is fanning it. I did not say it, and I do not personally think it, and would not unless it was proven. All I am saying is that some perceive it that way.
