TO: GP

Hello Gourdie - hope you had a good holiday...

You know, this b/c thing is so danged irritating.  From the standpoint of common sense and ethics, I cannot see this bright, articulate, dynamic President-elect shaming this nation, throwing away all he has worked for and not to mention the eternal pain he would cause his family by lying about his place of birth; and not to mention the strong possibility of prison.  I have never seen this nation in such an uproar about something that has been settled.  Perhaps Berg and his ilk should have filed suit in the Supreme Court regarding the manner in which this country has been run (into the ground) by the soon to be exiting President, who along with Repubs and Dems have in excruciating fashion  slowly turned this nation pretty much in to a Third World country.  What about the soldiers who were and still are embroiled in basically an illegal war and their families?  What about the millions who are being turned out of their homes and losing jobs because some exec thinks he is worth $8,000/hr yet the middle and lower eschelon workers of these corporations are castigated daily by the media, who delight in telling us that 'these workers make too much'..We have been continually lied to and dumbed down and there are those unfortunately who believe much of what the media and our government feeds them.  I apologize for the length of this post but the whole political process in this country becomes more and more schizophrenic with each election, and I feel for people like my parents, you and countless others who made it possible for me to enjoy the life I have known because of your sacrifices; and I truly feel for the children of this nation - look at what we have given them.  I just pray that our Maker will guide the children of today into the kinds of leaders this world will need tomorrow.
