I agree that, as a public forum, we should be allowed to post what we want (within the realms of human decency) without meeting with ridicule and namecalling.
It may be that, come tonight or tomorrow or whenever the results of the SC decision are posted, I will be wiping egg off my face in order to eat a huge plate of crow (smothered with onion gravy, if you please), but I think the matter does need to be investigated and every person posting here has a right...yes, a constitutional right...to post his or her opinion.
Thank you for putting into a cohesive and coherent manner exactly what I had been trying to say earlier but seemed to have failed so miserably.....that this is still America and that we still have a right to our own opinions.

Naturally, you are using obsfuscation and deflection to miss the point. The issue at hand is candidates and their friends and associations. Obama has also refuted, explained in excruciating detail, reviewed, reiterated, and rebuked 'til the cows came home, and most Americans chose to "accept that and respect that", just as you have done. That has not stopped fringe hate-mongers from beating dead horses over and over and over and over again, to no avail, unless their underlying intent is that of propelling fellow former defecting republicans over to the other side in droves and driving McC's poll numbers into a deep plunge. Ergo, McCain's refute and rebuke does not count unless it has been run into the ground, resurrected and exercised repeatedly until it achieves equal standing.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander. As long as folks keep trying to take issue with Obama and his friends and associates, wildly speculate and draw outlandish conclusions, then McC's friends and associates will also remain fair game and as such, the 6 thugs, Gordon Liddy and many others too numerous to list here in such limited space and time require a league of 24/7 defenders to step up and explain themselves. O camp also has the option to make mountains out of mole hills, take it way beyond the outer limits of logic, call him in and turn him into a Mafioso deadbeat for political gain. You will notice that they do not need to do this to advance their agenda and have not taken that road unless egged into it by these repeated O character slurs.

Why would I post anything here only to be attacked. And you guys call us rabid? I have my reasons for what my vote will be that I have tried to explain, only to be called numerous names. I believe that we have saved many more innocent lives in Iraq than we have taken, but we are not going to agree and I have finished defending my stances. Liberals talk of how intolerant conservatives are, but have not even noticed their own intolerance.

Abortion is a legitimate issue for some and not for others. I meant how about giving some real reasons for voting for McCain? Do you think her will raise taxes? lower taxes, end the war? What? Don't ridicule those of us who would like to see WHY you are really voting for McCain. We've been ridiculed enough for voting for Obama. If wanting to know your personal reasons is silly then so be it. Who knows, if you posted enough REAL reasons you might change some of the undecided voters but constantly hammering Obama is not going to do it. Well....maybe it will for some but not for people capable of thinking for themselves.
