The pending collapse of the social security system? The system pays out what workers pay into it is sure to run out of money when the number of paying workers don't have work. And I do not begrudge the average senior a dime of the SS they now receive. They worked hard and they deserve it. However, and I will restate this...I find it in keeping with the economic situation of this country that raises in SS be delayed. Employees are seeing a decrease in their real wages. Job losses grow- and that means less people paying into an already drained system.

Again, I don't want to take the SS from my aged father or your parents or anyone else elderly. But with jobs disappearing and wages tanking across the country, the seniors are probably the most financially secure non-multimillionaire population in this country, even without the increase.
