The beef is the same beef that many people have with Halliburton receiving
all the OTHER contracts it received.
Somehow, their receiving this particular contract seems more heinous than all the other ones that they received, given the current controversy surrounding it.

What exactly is your beef?
Because he's trying to show respect for the culture of a people whose land he is visiting? Because he's trying to show that America (at least the reasonable Americans) has respect for more than one religion? Because he's trying to show that there's room for more than one religion in the world and that is benefits EVERYONE to work together in peace?
