Hmmm.....Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann....
removed from anchor duties for election coverage and relegated to commentator only.  Talk about backlash.
Keith Olbermann responds to Rumsfeld

One of Keith's best moments, IMO.

It was an abomination. Even Keith Olbermann condemned it.
there are a couple of differences. The Palin effigy was put there by the owner of a private residence who used his own possessions. What could they have charged him with? He cant vandalize his own home. The Obama effigy was was hung on a state university college campus using state property f an educational institution who is responsible for the safety of all of its students....that would be all males, female, blacks, whites and foreign nationals. They are in a position to make SOME sort or statement that condemns the action and assured student and parents that measures will be taken to prevent a fraternity prank for "gettng out of hand" again. Burglary and vandalism charges see reasonable, since that it what they did. And by the way, another major difference. Can't recall too many chapters in American history when women were hung by racist lynch mobs...black, on the other hand...well, that's another story. It was not even a decade back here in East Texas where a black man was kidnapped, tied to the back of a truck with a Confederate flag on the back of it, and dragged to his death, dismembered and beheaded. They tried the "boys willbe boy's" defense. It didn't work. The two (of the 3) perpetrators who could be proven to be racists were sentenced to death because it was a hate crime. The third one scraped by with life in prison because his racism could not be proven.
Keith Olbermann is a complete fruitcake!

He sits and states that Texas gets 88% back of every dollar they send to the federal government but another states (midwest) only gets 40+%.  Is he really that brainwashed?   Does he not even think for a moment that Texas has to pay for all the illegals in their state and bear the burden of all the freebies these freeloaders gets?  Healthcare, food, clothing, housing, and the lists go on and on to the tune of millions and millions.    You better believe they need to get EVERY penny back... as far as I am concerned, 88% should be 100%....  BTW we all should be keeping our 100% earnings.   Constitution states individual citizens are NOT to pay taxes to federal government, ONLY corporations.

Olbermann would kiss the backside of Hitler and bow at his feet if he were still alive.   This man is absolutely sickening!

Yup - a message froma Keith Olbermann stooge
Bushwacked is a term that nutcase Keith Olbermann uses.

So what's your point.
Right, Olbermann and "tingle up my leg" Matthews.

Chris Matthews is a liberal. sm
Ronald Reagan was in the service.  So what if he wasn't in combat.  He enlisted during wartime. I commend him for that.  You might want to look at the ages of the people you are talking about, as well.  Some of them, MANY of them, were of service age in non wartime.  Bob Dole was horribly wounded in WW II. He's not on the list. You only put the Democrats who served and the Republicans who didn't.  Why did you do that?  You are right. It is of no significance.  By your reasoning, only those who have had an abortion could have an opinon about it.  Ridiculous.
Chris Matthews had a great way of
breaking it down, they could have bought and paid cash for Joe's house and had $23,500 left. Can you imagine? I wonder how many of Joe's houses the Dems could have bought with the money Obama raised over the amount he originally agreed to accept from public funding. That is, before he decided he needed to spend 7 times as much money as the pubs and put make him be the candidate to spend the most money in history on a presidential campaign? I wonder what all that money is being spent on. And, believe it or not, all of it just averaging $86 donations!
Chris Matthews...Randi Rhodes....and on and on and on...
you have them on your side too. Air America could not make it as a liberal talk radio station, so now they are the Atheist Network. Maybe that will work for them.

What I will never understand is how liberals want to expose all the hatefulness they see on the other side, yet cannot see ANY of the hatefulness on their own side. Well, let me qualify that. There is on liberal who posts here who has a grip on reality and when something it is wrong it is wrong, no matter which side it occurs on. That being said, the rest who seem to post here can see the splinter in the other side's eye but can't see the timber in their own. Frankly, for someone trying to make up their mind what liberalism really is and what it stands for...it does not present a really pretty picture.
Chris Matthews on Hillary Clinton
I Never Called Hillary 'She Devil,' Chris Matthews Says

There’s no doubt that “Hardball” host Chris Matthews used the expression “she devil” when talking about Hillary Clinton — but he insists he never called her that.

On the Nov. 18 telecast of the NBC-syndicated “Chris Matthews Show,” the host discussed Republican attacks on Hillary, who was then the Democratic presidential front-runner.

“She devil?” he said, “Republicans are absolutely demonizing Hillary Clinton.”

While he spoke, an image of Hillary appeared on screen with the words “She Devil?” below it. Later, an image of Clinton with devil horns appeared on screen.

Paul Bedard observed in U.S. News & World Report’s “Washington Whispers” column that Matthews, who has been mulling a run for the Senate in 2010, was “concerned he ruined it with the women vote.”

But Matthews now tells Bedard: “I never called her a she devil . . . You can see it is where we introduce the topics to the show.”

He claims Media Matters for America took the expression out of context.

“This stuff has been cooked up,” he said.

Media Matters spokesman J. Jioni Palmer retorted that Matthews has a pattern of “sexist comments.”

Matthews’ mouth got him into trouble back in February 2007 when he used “the f-word” while referring to President Bush’s ranch during an appearance on the “Imus in the Morning” show.

This past January he stirred up protests when he said the reason Hillary was a senator and candidate for president “is that her husband messed around.”

Chris Matthews... gotta love him.
I actually know him. He's like that in real life, I promise you. I didn't see this particular interview, so I can't comment on it directly. But, when Chris thinks someone is trying to evade a question, he keeps at it. True, sometimes the poor interviewee is actually trying to answer the question but can't get a word in edgewise. We have the same problem when we're with him!

He's a commentator, not a journalist. There's a certain amount of entertainment factor to his show, and MSNBC knows it. Viewers either love him or hate him, agree with him or violently disagree with him. As long as he can pull in ratings, he'll be there. If he doesn't appeal, it's easy enough to just switch him off. There are plenty of times I just smile and shake my head, "Oh, Chris is at it again!" And just click him right off.
That is a famous quote of Chris Matthews from MSNBC...
said when he heard Obama speak he got a thrill up his leg. No bias there. lol.
I watch Chris Matthews six days a week

(including his Sunday morning show), and I never heard him say that.  I heard him say that Africa is a continent with 50-some countries.

Please provide a link to Matthews saying Africa is a country.

He didn't know Ayres my arse

Will he ever stop with the lies?  Stating Ayres was "just someone in my neighborhood"?  Bull-ogney.  Michelle Obama organized an event with Obama and Ayres.  Here are two links.  Oh and if you're about to say world net daily is a conservative or liberal place it doesn't change the facts.  It just means liberals won't post what they are trying to hide.  It still means Obama is lying about his relationship with Ayres.

I dated someone who was a liar and I'm not a liar. This is just a bunch of crap because they can't get anything on My SWEET OBIE.

Respectable? Like his friends Wright, Rezko, Ayres

William Wallace most definitely
I want a hero. I want someone who is willing to defend what is right no matter what the consequence. Oh, and a Scottish accent and kilt would be good too.

Yes, I saw this on Keith last night as well.
Mind boggling, isn't it, when it's all put into this concentrated perspective?  You do realize, of course, that your post will be slammed by all the still blind, in-denial Bush lovers?  But, who cares?  Because he. . . . is . . . . OUT OF HERE!!
Media Matters...William Bennett Audio...sm

You'd have to hear it yourself to get the correct context.  The caller was not even talking about reducing the crime rate, Bennett brought this up out of the blue, and he says I do know... before he made the comment, NOT making a reference to Freakonomics but his own opinion.

From the September 28 broadcast of Salem Radio Network's Bill Bennett's Morning in America:

CALLER: I noticed the national media, you know, they talk a lot about the loss of revenue, or the inability of the government to fund Social Security, and I was curious, and I've read articles in recent months here, that the abortions that have happened since Roe v. Wade, the lost revenue from the people who have been aborted in the last 30-something years, could fund Social Security as we know it today. And the media just doesn't -- never touches this at all.

BENNETT: Assuming they're all productive citizens?

CALLER: Assuming that they are. Even if only a portion of them were, it would be an enormous amount of revenue.

BENNETT: Maybe, maybe, but we don't know what the costs would be, too. I think as -- abortion disproportionately occur among single women? No.

CALLER: I don't know the exact statistics, but quite a bit are, yeah.

BENNETT: All right, well, I mean, I just don't know. I would not argue for the pro-life position based on this, because you don't know. I mean, it cuts both -- you know, one of the arguments in this book Freakonomics that they make is that the declining crime rate, you know, they deal with this hypothesis, that one of the reasons crime is down is that abortion is up. Well --

CALLER: Well, I don't think that statistic is accurate.

BENNETT: Well, I don't think it is either, I don't think it is either, because first of all, there is just too much that you don't know. But I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could -- if that were your sole purpose, you could abort every black baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down. That would be an impossible, ridiculous, and morally reprehensible thing to do, but your crime rate would go down. So these far-out, these far-reaching, extensive extrapolations are, I think, tricky.

William Safire (a conservative) doesn't believe Bush.

This was on Meet the Press yesterday.  William Safire is a renowned conservative, who was describing his Nixon years.  Any of this sound familiar?

*I was writing a speech on welfare reform, and the president looks at it and says, OK, I'll go with it, but this is not going to get covered. Leak it as far an wide as you can beforehand. Maybe we'll get something in the paper. And so I go back to my office and I get a call from a reporter, and he wants to know about foreign affairs or something, and I said, Hey, you want a leak? I'll tell you what the president will say tomorrow about welfare reform. And he took it down and wrote a little story about it. But the FBI was illegally tapping his phone at the time, and so they hear a White House speechwriter say, Hey, you want a leak? And so they tapped my phone, and for six months, every home phone call I got was tapped. I didn't like that. And when it finally broke--it did me a lot of good at the time, frankly, because then I was on the right side--but it told me how easy it was to just take somebody who is not really suspected of anything for any good reason and listen to every conversation in his home--you know, my wife talking to her doctor, my--everything.*

George W. Bush says he is only illegally wiretapping terrorists. William Safire isn't buying it.

TOBY KEITH AND OL' WILLIE
Well a man, come on
Six o'clock news
Says somebody been shot
Somebody's been abused
Somebody blew up a building
Somebody stole their car
Somebody got away
Somebody didn't get too far, yeah
They didn't get too far

Grandpappy told my pappy
Back in my day, son
A man had to answer
For the wicked thing he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree
Round up all of them bad boys
And hang 'em high in the street
For all the people to see

And justice is the one thing
You should always find
You gotta saddle up your boys
You gotta draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles
We'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all meet back
At the local saloon

We'll raises up our glasses
Against evil forces
Singing, "Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses!"

We got too many gangsters
Doing dirty deeds
Too much corruption
And crime in the streets
It's time the long arm of the law
Put a few more in the ground
Send them all to their Maker
And he'll set them on down
You can bet, He'll set 'em down

So, McC finally agreed to interview with Keith O?
In the final stretch, it would make sense to me that either candidate would want to surround himself with as much positive energy as possible. It's a campaign and I don't believe it says anything about fairness, being open-minded, a candidate's intent or ability to reach across the aisle or capacity for compromise where it counts...after the election.
In other words, they speak their minds like Keith
and every other idjit liberal news outlet out there? What's the big deal. CNN sent out a whacko nutjob reporter who provoked and harrassed and accused protestors who were just minding their business. Don't see you on here ranting about that.....
Obama's poor judgement...Michael Pfleger, William Ayers, Tony Rezco..
Jeremiah Wright, Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson, Jamie Gorelick, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac big bucks. We could both go on and on. All politicians are crooked to some extent. Face it, neither one is a great candidate, we have louse options on both sides this time. Fortunately, whoever does win will only serve one term.
matthews
I dont watch MSNBC on TV as I dont subscribe to cable..I refuse to pay for TV and where I live in the desert we dont get many channels, however, I get most of my information of MSNBC on the net and from friends. I know, I know, even my mother from NY tells me, get cable but I wont (smile)..Anyway, the stuff I do get shows that Chris Matthews is a good reporter.  In fact, he stated he voted for Shrub (Bush) and now he seems to lean away from Shrub.  I like Matthews, I like Olbermann (a good friend grew up with him in upstate NY in Hastings on the Hudson), heck most of MSNBC I like.  As far as July 4th, I will be working..no big holiday for me this year..guess I will eat a veggie burger or veggie hot dog (I am vegetarian) and drink a brewski but that is it.
Matthews
I guess you like that tingling running up his leg?  That's so in the tank it's just creepy (pardon that pun)!
Matthews sm

has a b_ _ _ _r fpr O.

Remember that "thrill up his leg," or whatever?  What the heck kind of MAN would say that and be straight?  None in my world, and I know gay men!

And C. Matthews is one sorry piece of
He is definitely being paid by the DNC and paid well. He is trash.
And by that, Matthews means HIS
version of the truth!
Olbermann right on...
Finally, finally people are beginning to discuss this openly. On Hardball Chris is talking about this with a lot of people (including our first Homeland Security guru) who had some knock-down drag-out (verbal) disagreements with Cheney over terror alerts. Ridge would say you want me to raise the level for THAT???? and of course Cheney wanted him to, any time anything turned sour for the GOP.  Another reason that Bush et al wanted to make the British investigation public right now is that they want to get started on Iran before Bush is out of office so they had to speed those detail-oriented Brits along, time's a flyin', got another war to start. God help us all.
Olbermann gets a bull's eye on this one...sm
Now, if he would just take things a few steps further.
Olbermann (and sometimes Maddow)...
are equal-opportunity offenders.  Olbermann has begun to criticize Obama regarding things Olbermann doesn't agree with.  He doesn't just blindly follow and agree with everything because Obama is a Democrat.
Olbermann is off the chain crazy...LOL...nm

Two Fantastic Olbermann videos.

(I hope this post doesn't get deleted.  I'm copying and saving this, just in case, and then if it's deleted again, maybe I can just email the links to those who might be interested in seeing these excellent clips.)

#1:  Reinventing the Geneva Conventions (with Jonathan Turley regarding Bush wanting to cover his butt for past illegal deeds):

#2:  It's Unacceptable to Think (Bush's response to Colin Powell's thoughts)

Olbermann is an idiot pundit.
He has not now, nor has he ever been a newsperson. He needs to go back to interviewing sweaty football players.  He's a dunce.
Olbermann is a commentator...not a journalist...
and he was removed from his "journalism" spot on MSNBC to a strict commentator position because of his obvious bias toward Obama and playing fast and loose with the truth. He doesn't know if it is true or not, he just repeated rumor. It is a fact that she has not belonged to the assembly of God church since 2002. Her present pastor confirmed that, as did her former pastor. No one disputes that...except maybe Olbermann, but the only truth he recognizes is something that supports Obama.
Yep....it's Olbermann....so if you don't like him, no need to go any farther in message...

Olbermann, Maddow, and Limbaugh
Can't stand any of them. Two are on the left, one on the right, and they are all cut out of the same cloth, in my opinion. Blustering, self-righteous, and intolerant. Maddow is a little more subtle, but very full of herself and her narrow opinions. I agree more with what Rush says, but can't stand to look at him or listen to him. What a big, self-important windbag.
Olbermann: "You owe this country an apology." sm
Another great special comment from Keith Olbermann.
Olbermann is a graduate of Cornell University...
and you are a graduate of what?
Olbermann is disgraceful, but I'd be interested in knowing...
...where the Constitution prohibits the federal taxation of citizens, if you would please quote me the article and section.
Olbermann? -the mentally deranged commentator?
nm
anything olbermann, shlll for the left, deserves a reply...nm
//
Hey, JTBB, did you happen to catch Janene Garofolo last night on Olbermann? sm
Her psychological analysis of Lamebaugh and the type of people who ""follow""him was right on the money!!  I guess there is whole lot of self-loathing going around on this board!!  LOL
Chris was excellent

pinned him to the wall like a bug (no offense to bugs out there).  Intersting also that he mentioned McCain's former policy chief (or something) Tori Clark wrote a book with the name.  I love to see the hyocrites squirm. it sends a thrill up my leg.

Chris is on the way to a meltdown
Not only was he rude but he's getting worse and worse as the democrats ratings keep dropping. Talk about a pit bull (without lipstick). He's attacking his guests not giving them a chance to answer the questions. That's not "pinning someone to the wall like a bug". That's just rude. He should ask the guest a question, let him answer, and then respond to his answer. To badger and not let your guest answer a question you ask while giving free reighn (sp?) to the democratic guest is just pure horse hockey. After today I no longer watch his show. I want some truth and clear cut answers and I believe every guest should be allowed to answer a question in full without the host bullying him (which by the way I do not believe Obama called Sarah a pig). Still is no excuse for Mathews to act like that. He's supposed to be a host and treat both sides fairly. That he does not do. He did this to other guests and luckily they said to him let me answer your question. MSNBCs ratings are going down the tube and they just lost one more viewer.
I liked Chris Rock's

take - reelection.  He said Obama would surely win  because what Kenyan ever lost a race?
