Also, take the Q for starters. While it's considered a big company, its taxes will go up. They won't just open up their pockets and say tell the Dams to just help themselves. It has to come from somewhere!
Something very serious to consider is that no matter the size of the company, each will have a higher tax bill, which means less paycheck totals. Think of someone you know (or know about) who has even a moderate-sized company, one which employs people just all of us, and those employees will have to pick up the tab somehow, likely starting with layoffs.
My closest friend has her own business, and is very concerned about this. She's Jewish as well, and is very upset at Israel being treated like a step-child.
Another thing I didn't hear from Denver or anywhere else on the left is about Islamic terrorists. The mainstream media has totally sanitized that term in an (successful in many ways) attempt to make Americans forget what a huge priority national security is. All this tax talk means nothing if we continually have our military neutered for doing its job. There won't be anything left.
Socialism, yes. Worse than that, communism. Look up Saul Alinsky and "Rules for Radicals." Both Obamas quote his words, as does Hillary ("for the common good" refg to taxes, just for one).
The libs will get their panties all in a wad over this and do their standard attacks, but if they really, truly want the truth, they'll research this and not just buy what the mainstream chimes. It's unbelievable to me that anyone would play the blind allegiance card. I keep my emotions out of this stuff in order to look at things objectively. The news organizations work for me (us), too, and there's no way I would ever let them take me for granted and think I'm so stupid as to never question them.
A mere acceptance of my apology would have sufficed.

I assure you my views aren't warped. They are my own personal views just as you have theirs. Your view of reality is not mine. I realize that the war on terror is going to be an ongoing war with it's inevitable ebbs and flows. I'll admit that I don't know if Bin Laden is alive or dead, but my gut feeling is that he is dead of natural causes. You are right, if we had caught Bin Laden the world would know it, although I don't know if it would be for purely political gain like you would think it would be. I'm sorry that you have to turn discussion of a topic into a personal insult towards me and my views, but I believe you hold a very polarized view of what is going on in the war on terror. I guess history will have to pan out what exactly is going on in this country, but I believe we are in a political civil war.

Unbelievable. This is NOT about SP. What does she know about a mass evacuation of 5 million people? Not only does she need to stay away from us, she needs to be taken off the TV screen long enough to broadcast announcements of mandatory evacuation areas, evacuation routes, contra-flow designations on major highway systems, announcements from local officials in the affected areas and maybe just a little coverage on how to prepare for the onslaught of a category 3/4 hurricane in a geographic area of such dense population. Evacuations when done improperly are FATAL, as Houstonians found out during the evacuation for Hurricane Rita when 110 people lost their lives out on the roads trying to run from the storm. They are phased events and need wide-scale news coverage from any and all media outlets. This is about the 5 million people who are running for their lives. The comment was about the irresponsible news coverage and the spell that people seem to be under to the exclusion of even an tacit awareness that death is just around the corner for possibly hundreds of their fellow-citizens. You can live without SP media saturation for a day or two. We need our eyes on the gulf, not on the skirt.

Second of all, the only thing a person will get from AL Jazeera is extremely biased against Israel. The entire middle east hates Israel. This has been well established. They are surrounded by enemies and even have enemies within their own borders -- Hamas which is why they invaded the Gaza Strip. Are they supposed to sit by and watch the Hamas terrorists send their suicide bombers to kill their civilians? Are they supposed to simple swallow the hatred and threats against their sovereignty?

Right before Obama was elected, Republicans decided to "bailout" the banking industry. It was a socialistic move. But they didn't care because they knew Obama would be elected and that he would eventually take the fallout for it. People like those from Fox News wanted to make sure they continuously got that word "socialism" out there. Now that Obama is President (for only 3 weeks now) Obama is completely to blame for this entire economic mess. Fox news this morning just can't stop talking about it. Fox news acts like the economy is just a joke and Obama is just trying to be a fear monger. They laugh at Timothy Geithner. They laugh about the United States failing. Republicans in fact do want us to fail so that they can be reelected. Now does that sound patriotic to you? Do they really think the American people are that ignorant? Apparently some must be and I'm sure they'll be posting below.

All they want is the right to marry whom they want to share their lives with (sound familiar?). Gay people are not the ones with the deviant behavior. Gay people work, pay bills, watch movies, go to bed, eat the same kind of meals you do. At least now adays its nice to go out in public and see the same sex people showing their love for each other the same way "straight" people do. It's nice to see acceptance and tolerance for all human kind (except there are still the ignorant few). So, now with the states coming around i hope to see more gay marriage coming up. For those who don't like it, too bad. It's not your choice anymore. Gays ARE being accepted whether you like it or not.

Can we bring the board back to the true reason for the board
Can we get the political board back to the true purpose of this board – to share opinions of why we like our candidate. Not bash and cut down others because they don’t agree with you.
I stayed away from this board for the past couple days because anyone who had anything positive to say about Sarah Palin got slammed, bashed, kicked down, etc. After awhile I found it all too draining, and was not seeing any reason to come. Yes, I did see some of it towards people who favored Barack Obama, but if you read the posts again it is mostly towards anyone who favored Sarah Palin/John McCain.
I thought the political board was for posting information regarding politics and candidates. What I have seen for the past few days is that it has been an attack board. Especially if you have anything positive you want to share about Sarah Palin. You say something good about her and you get attacked, you answer back, and you get attacked more, and then when you get mad and pretty much say stop attacking me, they come back with this “Geez, I’m allowed to have an opinion”.
Another thing I am tired of seeing is the slanderous, hate filled, really off the wall comments about Sarah Palin. The latest was something about her daughter actually had her baby. Talk about just bizarre comments. I thought what’s next, she’s an alien from another planet? The more I kept reading the more the comments were getting just really weird and bizarre. Of course nobody ever having any proof of any of these allegations. I then came to realize that the posters were just trying to get a fight going.
I also saw posts that had nothing to do with politics but attacking a poster named Sam. Again, probably trying to get another fight going for no good reason and on things that have nothing to do whatsoever with politics. I’ve read “Sam is like an annoying nat that you sway away”, “Sam, please let me know where you work” or “she must have her quota” or “sam is to the politics board as oracle is to the” This childish rhetoric is getting old. I’m not defending sam she is a big girl and I can see by her posts she can take care of herself, but my point is that this has nothing to do with politics. If you want a fight maybe you could request that the administrator create a separate “fight and degrade” section.
I’ve read the administrators post a couple different times called Beware of Flaming. She/he said as long as we realize that not everyone is going to agree we shouldn’t wear our feelings on our sleeves and a little more oversight on here would be good. Let people express his or her opinion and move on. If you don’t like someone just ignore that person. “It’s not rocket science, you know” (I liked that statement) 
I consider posting on this board a privilege and not a right. If you don’t agree with something and you post that you don’t agree and state the facts why (and are civilized about it) that’s one thing, but when you bash and degrade others without showing proof and just want to start fights and belittle others it just seems a bit juvenile to me.
I come to the politics board to hear ideas and stuff (facts) about the candidates. That is how I’m learning about each one, but I don’t want to read people attack other posters for no good reason. I'd like to hear about Obama/Biden & McCain/Palin, but I want to hear facts.
If you like to fight so much why don’t you pick on people that you can fight to face to face.

They have no real concept of war. They don't understand that people are actually shooting at one another, and it affects families for decades, the price of so-called "Freedom" as he calls it. They have the Texan attitude, go kick butt, and while none of their's are over there, they cannot experience the true consequences of war, just wave their little flags and have no idea that war is freaking WAR. I hate this. They are not conservative - what is conservative about running up the deficit to the degree that it is at now - that is certainly not conservative. This war thing is just a CNN thing to them - something only happening on TV, something to occupy their time, they have no idea of how badly it can hurt and scar; they are as clueless as their leader.
